Okay, I'm going to be completely honest here. When I heard that BSB was doing a new album, I was a little nervous for them. I thought that it was going to be a NKOTB thing all over again. Needless to say, my prediction was VERY WRONG. This cd is 100% better than 'Millennium'.

1. The Call- The first time I heard this song, I was hooked!! This is one of those songs that will make you get up and dance along with it, no matter how hard you try to ignore it. The beat is very catchy and creative. I mean, think about it, only the Boys could come out with a song about the battery being low on your cell phone and make it into a awesome song!!

2. Shape of my Heart- The first single off of B&B. This is definitely going to be a classic BSB song. The lyrics are very simple (which I love!), and it gives the usual "Look-I-know-I-did-wrong-but-please-give-me-another-chance" type of song and adds a twist to it. A added bonus to this song is that both my mom and my dad love this song. My dad's favorite part is at the very end when AJ sings "show you the shape of my heart."

3. Get Another Boyfriend- Again, I was hooked the first time I heard it. It's just one of those songs that if it doesn't make you get and up and dance, it will at least make you bop your head. The beat for this song is different from most of their songs, and makes it sexy. And come on people, I know all of you have the chorus of this song stuck in your head for days!!!

4. Shining Star- Definitely the sexiest song off of the cd. I have got to give props to Howie and Nick for writing a awesome song. This is one of the songs that will have people up and dancing from the moment they hear it.

5. I Promise You (With Everything I Am)- One of the sweetest songs I've ever heard. The lyrics are so simple, but you can tell the guys are giving it their all when they sing. This would also be a great song to play at a prom.

6. The Answer To Our Life- This is first of 2 songs that the guys all write, and it's great. Major props to you guys!! I wasn't too fond of it the first time I heard it, but it's really growing on me.

7. Everyone- Once again, the guys prove that they really do love their fans! I mean, think about it, you haven't seen 'N Sync come out with a song to their fans, have you? (Well, I know that they had the song 'Digital Getdown', but I don't think that really counts.) The beat is so catchy, you can't help but to bop your head, tap your foot, or not to move some part of your body. Also, I just want to thank the Boys for doing this song in honor of us. I wouldn't be a fan if you guys didn't make great music, so you guys deserve the credit, not us.

8. More Than That- This is the most adorable song I have ever heard. The chorus of this song is so perfect! And I know all of you melt whenever you hear Brian sing the chorus by himself, cause I sure as heck do!! Also, my dad really likes the song!!

9. Time- The other song that the guys all wrote. This is a great R&B song, and it's even better that Babyface produce. This songs proves to the critics that the guys do actually have talent. (But of course, we've known that this whole time!!)

10. Yes I Will- Another sweet song. I can totally see guys playing this song as they get ready to pop the big question to their girlfriends. Also, AJ wrote this song, so maybe he's getting some ideas from Brian and Kevin...Amanda McLean, is that not a totally cute name?

11. It's True- I've loved this song since I first heard it off of the 'For The Fans' cd. For some reason, this seems like a song that BoyzIIMen would do. Also got to give Kevin props for writing it. Maybe it's just me, but he's really good at writing songs that say "i know i made a mistake, but please give me another chance.", isn't he?

13. How Did I Fall In Love With You- OMG! I cried the first and the second time I heard it. If this song doesn't move in some sort of way, then I wouldn't understand you. The lyrics are so simple, but they mean so much. This is will definitely will be a mega power ballad, if they ever decide to release it as a single. I really hope they do, cause I luv this song!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, what did you think of Black and Blue? In my opinion, its amazing!! Millennium was my favorite album of all time. I used to say that in order to replace it, their next album was going to have to be so incredible, I couldn't even imagine it. Well, I haven't had it long enough to make a decision yet, but I do know that if any album could beat it out, it would be Black and Blue.

The Call - I think this is a very good song. A little cheesy sounding in the beginning because of the beat - sounds kinda like a Britney Spears video, doesn't it? Even so, it proves that BSB can sing the fast songs too and still sound great. A very up - beat fun, song.

Shape of my Heart - This song is SOOO good! It's got beautiful lyrics that really make you think....truthfully, its not as good as "I Want it That Way", but its still an extremely powerful song. It highlights their vocal talent with the high chorus and low beginning. It's not your typical love song either. Great job guys.

Get Another Boyfriend - So far I haven't heard of anyone who didn't like this song. It's very catchy, up-beat, and has me up dancing every time I hear it. This better be a single, or I'll be very disappointed, I think it has great single potential!

Shining Star - Wow....the boys can get kinda naughty! lol They did a good job on this song, but while I still like it, I think they could have come up with something better. Oh well.

I Promise You (With Everything I Am) This song is beautiful! It's so much better than 'N Sync's "This I Promise You," and its NOTHING like it. 'N Sync wishes their song was as good as this one! The words are soooo touching....they are definitely the Kings of Ballads.

The Answer to our Life - At first I wasn't too sure about it, but now I enjoy it immensely. It's catchy, and has a positive sound to it. However, I think they should have had Brian sing more in this song because he sounded really good.

Everyone - I don't care what ANYONE says! This song is awesome! It made me feel so good and special that I just wanted to cry. How can anyone say that BSB is just a "boy band" that doesnt' care about their fans? This song proves every critic wrong. Brian and A.J. sound awesome....my compliments go out to them.

More Than That - Definitely 1 of the best songs on this album. Their harmony is tight, and its so meaningful. This song kind of reminds me of "Don't Wanna Lose you Now", off Millennium, which was tied w/ "I Want it That Way" for my favorite song. Well this one ties w/ "How did I fall in Love with You". Everything about this song is perfect....another powerful song.

Time - Very nice song, however my mind wanders whenever I listen to it. It's better if you listen to it at night, or during a time you can really get the feel of the words and the music together.

Not for Me - I like this song a lot. I think its very cleverly put together, and has a good beat to it. Brian, once again outdoes himself on this song.

Yes I Will - why doesn't anyone like this song? I love it! If these guys really mean what they're singing, I'd take any one of them in a second! It's got a different R & B flavor to it, but its very catchy. I was very impressed w/ A.J.'s writing skills, good job!

It's True - This song is an excellent example of BSB's talent. In fact, if I was asked to describe BSB's ability to sing ballads, I would use this song as an example. While it kind of sounds like it should be on Millennium, it highlights the vocal powers of the whole group. Simply beautiful - it couldn't be done any better by anyone else. Ever.

How Did I fall in Love with You? - What a BEAUTIFUL, DEEP, AMAZING, PHENOMINAL ballad!! Howie, I congratulate you on your song writing abilities! This song not only had beautifl words, Howie and Brian especially sound like angels!! They were meant for this song. The first time I heard it, tears were streaming down my cheeks....its the best ballad on the album - one of their best ever, in fact.

Well, that's about it. I don't care what anyone says, BSB is # 1 compared to any group in the world, and they always will be. They truly stand out in more ways than one as being the best. No matter what happens, I will always and forever, be a Backstreet girl...I thank them for everything they've done - its made my life a whole lot better than I ever imagined it could be.

Ohmygosh! Ok, I bought the cd right, and when I first listened to it my heart just stopped because the music was'nt what I expected it to be, and im happy about it. They have really outdone themselves this time, the music were great and even though kevin didnt get to sing much of a solo its still ok. Infact I was just listening to nsync's song (no im not a great fan of theirs I just like their "its gotta be me" song but I got bored to it after listening so many times, its so ugh now, no offense on nsync fans by the way)anyway here are my reviews:

THE CALL: when I first heard aj's part I didnt know it was him, and I didnt really liked it at first cause I didnt really get to hear the lyrics that much cause I was interrupted but when I played it again I really liked it, its so different from their other songs, this one has a more rap, latin sexy kind of song in it.

SHAPE OF MY HEART: its a good song especially the video, its very original.

GET ANOTHER BOYFRIEND: definitely one of my favorites. Its a really cool song and I think that they should have made this one their second album.

SHINING STAR: what can I say? This song is wicked and you know what I mean! The guys sure surprise me although not really aj.

I PROMISE YOU...: this song is ok, its good for weddings and people who are in a serious relationship, I like the part " I promise you as a lover and a friend" its nice.

THE ANSWER TO OUR LIFE: I really like the beginning especially when I think it was aj who said "chikicha" or something and also when his verse can "...Really do" the way he said it was just great and nick also have a great change which was surprisingly wow.

EVERYONE: I like this song its better than ltl and everybody.

MORE THAN THAT: I like the lyrics but im not really sure about the tunes although its great.

TIME: its a great ballad, its like 'lean on me' I likeit.

NOT FOR ME: this song just rocks especially the first verse and the chorus. This should be their third album. Htis or how did I fall in love wiht you.

YES I WILL: the lyrics are great, for a new couple starting a relationship, its nice and romantic.

ITS TRUE: the song really fits brians and kevins marriage, not that they were unfaithful or anything but the part where "wihtout you I would fall apart" its really true, and I hope they have a wonderful marriage and not get divorce.

WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT...: this song is sooooo sweet ass! I mean, it just shows that not all guys are looking for pretty girls with a perfect size 8 or whatever (no offense on anyone) and I love this song cause it relates to every girls and boys fears of liking someone and not sure if they do ..

HOW DID I FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU: I love this song and as in I keep playing it over and over and over again and my friend cried when she first heard and I listened to the lyrics and this actually happened to a friend of mine but I wont tell you what happened just a part of this song happened so yeah... Dont mind me im just weird.

So overall, this cd is a success and of all thier cd's I like this the best except for a few songs on the other cd's. Anyway, I think that those who hate this cd or the bsb should buy their cd and think again cause this guys really do have talents trust me, read what the other superstars say about them like elton jhon or shania twain, they said that they are really sweet and down to earth so before judging them think and listen and good luck in the future for the bsb!!!!

Black & Blue ... a bit disappointing

Okay, please don't go sending me tons of hatemail for this. I'm such a dork, always setting myself up for hate. But I just wanted to say this. I LOVE Black & Blue, I think it's a BEE-YOO-TEE-FUL album. But I guess after that big jump, that huge improvement and maturation (is that a word?) that BSB made from their debut album to Millennium, Black & Blue was just a bit disappointing. I guess I was expecting too much from this album after Millennium, but don't get mad at me for that! Who DOESN'T expect a lot from the Backstreet Boys?? It just seems to me that this album gives off an "attempted" feel. It's as if the Boys wrote, produced, put together this album in order to bring themselves back on top, not caring about the genuine quality of the music. With all the hooks and swoon-worthy ideals, it just seems like the album was written to be a hit! See, with Millennium, the music wasn't just pop, it had depth and meaning, it was unique...B&B gives off a true pop feel.

But please don't get me wrong! I love the album! It's right up there with Millennium for me. But just the fact that is on the same level as Millennium is disappointing, because I'm sure we've all come to expect more from Backstreet Boys.

First off all i would just like to say that the whole cd is perfect! it doesnt sound like a little boy-band kind of pop, it really, really is perfect!, but of course without lossing theyre on concept that i adore, the boys r the greates, and i really dont give a damn about how much it sells because thats not the issue, the fact is that they r #1.

Ok. now for the review on the cd, here it goes:

1. THE CALL.- i love the mix they do with the king of spanish guitarre at the begining, kind of a spain kin of style, like it.

2. SHAPE OF MY HEART.- even it was the first single, after listening to the cd i see that r better love songs that this one, but still, its good.

3. GET ANOTHER BOYFRIEND.- Loooveeeee iiit !!!!, love the beat, they sonud really good, excelent.

4. SHINING STAR.- again! it sounds like a spanish kind of song (well at least at the begining), not one of my favorites, but its ok.

5. I PROMISE YOU (WITH EVERYTHING I AM).- sooo romantic, way better then the one from *nsuck (oh sorry about that hahaha), i mean *Nsync (yeah right)... great lyrics, very sweet.

6. THE ANSWER TO OUR LIFE.- well personally its my favorite track on the cd, i try to listen to the whole cd but i just get to #6, and i keep repeting it

7. EVERYONE.- it doesnt only have a perfect bounce to dance to, but what it says, they have dignity, deserve respect, & they thank the fans again, love does boys!

8. MORE THAN THAT.- on of the best on the cd, beautiful sound, smooth, really, really good.

9. TIME.- normal, i personally dont like it that much, kind of boring

10.- NOT FOR ME.- uuh! uhuh! ahh! ahh! its sticky, the chorus just gets in your head!

11.- YES I WILL.- completelly about setting down, right? its ok, again: its not of my fav.

12.- ITS TRUE.- i think we all love this song, very slow, tender

13.- HOW DID I FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU.- it makes me wanna cry, the piano sound beautiful, theyre voives sound so professional, anda the lyrics of the song just r a work of art.

Hey ya'll! This is going to be a long one, thought I'd warn you ahead of time. FYI-I'm not always nice!

The Call~Now I have to say, I was a little nervous when I heard the song start off with a cell phone ringing. However, once I listened to the whole song, I was hooked. I can't say I'm too impressed with the lyrical content, but the edge to their voices was amazing. Plus, the music is absolutely incredible. How could you not get up and dance to this song?!

Shape Of My Heart~This song was an incredibly smart production. Shape Of My Heart is the kind of song we have all come to expect from the Backstreet Boys and it was the perfect bet to release as the first single. Had they come out with an edgirer song first, after having been "away" all that time, I think that they may have lost some of their fan base. This song is absolutely amazing performed live and I think that all the boys deserve major credit for their vocal talent on this song.

Get Another Boyfriend~All I have to say is that I am really looking forward to seeing this song performed in concert. I'm sure that this performance will totally blow me away. Does anyone else think Brian sounds really awesome in this song? I think it's just a different vibe from him, it definitely works. This song is not one of my favorites, but it's cool to see a differnt type of song on the album.

Shining Star~Woa...is my 11 year old sister supposed to be listening to this?! I do not want her singing some of these lyrics. Remind me to scratch this song of her CD...lol. On the other hand, I totally dig this song. Nick collaborated on this song...lmao...now I understand some of these lyrics. J/K, I really do think this song is killer and I think that the guys should consider doing a video for this one. The possibilities are endless >!

I Promise You (With Everything I Am)~As a rule, I'm not usually a big fan of the Backstreet balads...and this song is no exception. Lyrically it's pretty sugar coated and sounds like a song we should have expected to be off of an earlier album. I think Nick sounds kind of whiney in this song too, even more than usual. I'm not saying I totally hate it, I just expected more in the "ballad area" of this album.

The Answer To Our Life~Sorry, this song is getting bashed. I do not have any afinity for this song at all. Lyrically, I expected much more from the guys. I know that they have the potential to write great songs, but sadly this wasn't one of them. There time in the Bahamas could have been better spent. Musically, the song was horrible. Whoever mixed this song needs to be shot, and there was way too much pre-programmed keyboard effects. Sorry guys, but as much as I love ya, your not getting off the hook for this song.

Everyone~Alright, I'm going to be nice again. What fan is not going to feel appreciative that they have a song written for them. I love this song more than I did Larger Than Life, and I totally thought Larger Than Life was cool. I'm impressed with the vocals in this song and the lyrics are a lot of fun. Thanks guys, I really hope you believe in this song as much as I think you do.

More Than That~Now here is a song that I think is totally incredible. Both musically and lyrically the guys surpass my expectations. The strings and percussion add a lot to the overall feeling of this song and are a great effect. This song is probably in my top three favorite songs of all time. Keep this type of song in your repertoire boys!

Time~Uh oh! Time to be mean again. Well this song was shot from the beginning. The minute the guys brought Babyface in to produce, you had the making of a disaster in your hands. The song is a very typical Babyface production. I can't really blame the boys too much for this one, for if you've got a bad producer your whole song is basically f****d. However, I have to say that some of the harmonizing was pretty exceptional. (A.N. the "breathy" deal is working well for Nick)...oh, and guys, the lyrics were EXTRA cheesy!

Not For Me~This song kicks some major @$$. The lyrics aren't particularly impressive, but I don't think that this song was meant to be the "brain child" of the album...so I think that it's excused. This is a great "dance around your bedroom" song! I think that this is a relatively different style for the boys, and it's working well. Brian totally rocks the mic in this one.

Yes I Will~Not one of the better songs for their predominately young- teen fan base. I don't have much to say about this song other than it would have been better if they extracted a few lines from the song. You've got to remember to play to your audience boys.

It's True~I hate to write two bad reviews in a row, but I can't really help where they put these songs on the album. When this song was released early, I was really hoping that this was not going to be the first single. Luckily, it wasn't. The lyrics aren't too terribly bad, but the music arrangement is a travesty in itself. I think that the music can always make or break the song...and in this case it broke it.

What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)~I'm glad to see that Howie is getting some air time. Maybe next time they'll be able to work Kevin into the album. Anways...great song, great voices, great music. This is what I like, keep it coming! Oh, and in the words of my 11 year old sister, "Brian has a pretty voice, but where is Nick?!"

Lol...that was too good not to put in.

How Did I Fall In Love With You~This song makes me want to revoke my "I do not like Backstreet balads" admission. This song hits particularly close to home, so it has an even more poignant message. I'm totally impressed with Brian in this song, wow that man has an amazing voice. This song is just truly awesome...it shows real growth boys, be proud of yourselves!

Alright, that was it...are you bored to tears yet?! Sorry, if I was a bit harsh on some of the songs...just speaking my mind. E-mail me if you get a chance!

Later days ya'll~

Hey! I was reading some of the reviews and just decided to give you guys my opinion! My rating scale 1-10(1's the worst, 10's the best!)

~The Call-WOW! This song is one of my fav. fast songs on the cd! In my opinion if they would have released this one first instead of Shape of my Heart then we would have smashed N'SYNC's record! I think this is a very strong song and it just makes me wanna get up and dance! ~9~

~Shape of my Heart-I like this song..but it wasn't as catchy as some of the other ones on the cd. It had to grow on me! But the more I listen to it the more I like it!! ~8~

~Get Another Boyfriend-I really really like this song!! It's very catchy!! The chorus is easy, by the second time around I was singing along!! I can't listen to it without singing!! ~8~

~Shinning Star- OHMIGOD!! This is my absolute Favorite fast song on the entire cd!! I don't know what it is but every time I hear it I have a teeny bopper moment and I can't wait to see them sing it in concert!! And Nick sings so good in this song!!! I mean I can just close my eyes and imagine him singing this to me!! (don't laugh!)

`You know that I adore you, wanna be there every day for you to satisfy you every needs my babay babay!!!`` ~10+~

~I Promise you(With every thing I am)- Very beautiful ballad. This would be a great song to play at your wedding!! Nick's part in this one is also very strong and shows how much he's grown!! ~9~

~The Answer to our Lives-Am I the only one who thinks this sounds like Youngstown "I'm the Prince you Charmed"??!! Other than that it's a great song and really shows that the Boys know how to write a great song!! ~8~

~Everyone-I love this song!! I can so see this song as the opening song for their concerts!! And they should have the lights on until it comes to the part in the song where it says "turn the lights down low..!" That would be so cool!! Actually I like this one better than Larger than Life because it gives the fans more credit "We're standing strong cause of what you've done.." ~9~

~More than that-This is in a tie with Shinning Star. They sound so good on this song and the words are so deep I had to roll up my pants!! But what girl doesn't want to hear "..baby listen to me when I say, I will love you more than that.."!!! Also Nick sounds so sweet!! "Cause I just can't be friends..baby knowing in the end that I will love you more than that.." ~10+~

~Time- It starts out with an early 90's Boyz to Men vibe, but I like it. Their harmonies are tight on this one!! ~8~

~Not For Me-Again this one starts out weird...I didn't listen to it all untill about a week after I got the cd...but after I did..I love this one!! It's really tight!! And I love the lyrics. Also this one is very catchy. I love the way Nick does that thing in the background. "Who's to win..me or him?"!! ~9+~

~Yes I will-I'm sorry guys but this song is so cheesy!! "And someday start a family with you??" What??!!! Come on!! It would be really good with that one line gone!! I know that B-rok and Kev are married now but come on, the majority of their fans are 12 year olds!!! The vocals are tight and it has a good concept!! But..~7~

~It's True- Another cheesy one! Hey you can't win 'em all!! This one is really cute and has tight harmonies and vocals but it sounds more like it should be on the last cd. But I do like it!! ~8~

~What makes you different(Makes you beautiful)-This one is so cute!! If it's not on your cd ya need to go to wal-mart and pick up another one!! "In your eyes I see all the love I'll ever need..what makes you different, makes you beautiful to me" ~9-~

~How did I fall in Love with You?-My all-time favorite ballad from all of their cd's. If you disagree, you haven't fully listened to the song with an open mind. With just a piano and strings it sounds so beautiful. When I first heard it I thought please no more instruments, it would sound so good with just those two!! It really shows off their vocal abilities. I LOVE this song!! "What can I do to make you mine? Falling so hard so fast this time" This needs to be the theme song to a love story movie!! I could see the couple(in a movie) have an agrument and be walking and crying while this sing is playing!! It would be so perfect!! ~~12~~!!!!

Thanx for reading my super long review!! Sorry!! But I just love this cd so much!! If you have any other opinions and wanna share them with me feel free to e-mail me at courtneymclean@hotmail.com !! Thanx!!

I was just reading a few reviews of the album and I would like to say that you should never judge an album by what other people write or say about it. One of the submissions that I was reading said that "Yes I Will" was weak but that is my favorite song and I thought it was great! So, anyone who is a true Backstreet Boy fan...go out and buy the CD and listen to it for yourself. Everyone has different tastes in music. Thanks and have fun with BSB's awesome CD!!!

Hey-

So, I've had Black and Blue for about 29 days now, and here's my review of it.

1- The Call: I enjoy this song, it's something a little different for the BSB. It's a creative song, and great to dance to :)

2- Shape of my Heart: At first I didn't enjoy it as much as their older stuff, but after listening to it a few times, I really enjoy it now. I love Nick's chorus.

3- Get Another Boyfriend: You know when you get a CD and one song sticks out for you? This was my song, I love dancing to it, and it's overall one of my favs songs on the album.

4- Shining Star: This is probably one of the weakest songs on the album. If there's one song I skip it's this one. It's not that it's a bad song...it's just they could do better.

5- I Promise You: This is a really pretty ballad. Not much else to say about it though...

6- The Answer To Our Life: Great song. I was impressed with the writing skills of all 5 of them working together.

7- Everyone: This song it much better that LTL. It's about the fans a lot more :) So, of course I enjoy it!

8- More Than That: My fav ballad off the CD. It's such a pretty song, and I love the part with Brian singing in the end when the music fades back!

9- Time: Not a bad song...again, nice writing from the boys :)

10- Not For Me: This is a great song to dance to :) I love the chorus, it just sticks in your head!

11- Yes I Will: Not one of my favs, but a really nice balllad :)

12- It's True: I wasn't to impressed with this one when I first heard it on the BK CD...but it's grown on me a bit after a few listens. Overall not bad.

13- How Did I Fall In Love With You: This is a great song! Howie's quite the little writer! Probably one of my favs...it would be a good ballad release.

Overall- Great album, probably the best thus far. I can't wait to see how they top it with their next one. But it leaves me with one question? Why don't they write more? The BSB should be writing their entire album. It would be a much more person attempt, plus it would get them a lot more respect within the industry! So I don't get why they don't! This is one tour I can't wait to see! Cause with these great dance songs..there has to be great dance numbers!

Wow......what can I say about this album that hasn't been mentioned? This album is exactly what I hoped it would be, it's like a good mix of Backstreet's Back and Millenium and it doesn't get any better than that. Before I analyze each song I just wanna say it takes a H3ll of a ballad to make me like it let alone love it.

THE CALL ~~~~~ I wouldn't open the cd until that Friday after it came out (I brought it on the first day) because there was a lot of family here for the holidays and I wanted to be able to actually listen and focus on all the songs. My friend kept trying to get me to listen to this song and as a compromise I listened to the dialog part at the beginning where AJ says "Hi what's up it's me baby" and I was hooked. Overall this is an excellent first track, it gets you pumped up for the rest of the album. And Kudos to the boys and JIVE for finding a way for us to buy the single by remixing it with OUTKAST, can't wait for the video.

SHAPE OF MY HEART ~~~~~ I also remember listening to this song for the first time sitting on my living room floor in front of the radio listening to Q94 and I knew that this was going to be a kick @ss album seeing as how the BSB always put out a "middle of the road" song first that sets the tone for the other harder hitting songs. What can I say, I love Nick's part in both the song and the video, the jaw thing and the dropping of the papers are to die for, not to mention at the end of the video when they all are focusing on the actors on the stage PRICELESS!

GET ANOTHER BOYFRIEND ~~~~~ They have a remix of this on Napster that rocks. The chorus is my favorite part, once again the voices match well with the song. My favorite part on the song is after the second chorus (the little break) with AJ's distored voice saying "get another boyfriend", definetly single material.

SHINING STAR ~~~~~ The first 4 times I heard this song I couldn't stop laughing, Nick is a BAD BAD BOY. DarkChild and the BSB make a great collaboration and should get together more often. I think this is the most "out of the mold" song they have. More than anything I love the beat and the overall composition of the song.

I PROMISE YOU ...... ~~~~~ I'm very hard with ballads, seeing as how people keep drawing a comparison with Nsync's This I Promise You (which I happen to like....Richard Marx is a genious), I have to say both songs are on an equal standing with me and that's a good thing.

THE ANSWER TO OUR LIFE ~~~~~ The beginning of the song gets me hooked but towards the end on Howie's part when he says "tell me why do we have to cry" it just sets the whole song off for me and I haven't yet to finish listening to the whole thing so I really can't give a fair review of this song.

EVERYONE ~~~~~ Actually I think this song should have been the second single but I guess that's a little too much like LTL, but I think in concert this will either be the opening or closing song and I couldn't be happier. I love Brian in this song especially the end of the chorus "and this one goes out to you", this song kinda reminds me of J-Lo's Feeling So Good. I'm weird don't mind me.

MORE THAN THAT ~~~~~ God how I love this song, this is my Don't Wanna Lose You Now, and that is my fave song from Millenium. In this song I actually get to hear a little bit of Kevin on AJ's part and that's a huge bonus. The lyrics are amazingly simple and I think that's what draws people in and pulls the song together. It's a very mellow song, I am praying either this or How Did I Fall.... will be the third single.

TIME ~~~~~ Once again I'm hard on ballads, to me this is a take it or leave it song but I guess I'll grow to like it seeing as how I strongly believe this will be the 3rd single.

NOT FOR ME ~~~~~ Favorite song on the album, this just screams SINGLE, it kinda takes you by suprise. The beat reminds me of a Micheal Jackson song but I can't put my finger on which one it is. I love the little Nick interuptions during Brian's part. AJ's part is hilarious, I can just imagine what his facial expressions were while recording this. H3ll I absolutely love the whole song. Defintely a keeper!

YES I WILL ~~~~~ It just doesn't grab me, it becomes repetitive, I refuse to listen to the whole song so I can't fully review it.

IT'S TRUE ~~~~~ Love this song, this is my Show Me the Meaning..... EXCELLENT job Mr. Richardson. Their voices are amazing especially when the music stops and the five of them come to the crescendo of "IT'S TRUE", I seriously hope that the accapella version of this song will be the B side of a single.

HOW DID I FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU ~~~~~ I keep going back and forth between this and Not For Me as my fave songs but I guess this gets a little more props for being a ballad. Congratulations HOWIE, both for writing this and your voice is beautiful on it. My fave line of the whole album is in this song "Never Meant to Feel This Way, Don't Wanna Be Alone Tonight. It's just a beautiful song in it's simplicity.

If this album had 10 tracks only it would probably receive an 8 out of 10 but Thank God for track #12 and #13, you pushed it to a 10.
