Date: Mar 13, 2002 Backstreet Boy & Sis To Sing National Anthem For 'Celebrity Boxing' (3/12/02, 4 p.m. ET) -- Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough and his sister Pollyanna will perform the national anthem at the all-star slug-fest, Celebrity Boxing, Wednesday night (March 13) from 9-10 p.m. ET on Fox. Barry Williams (Greg of television's Brady Bunch) will fight for the Dorough Lupus Foundation, which was founded by the Backstreet Boy after his sister Caroline Dorough-Cochran died from the chronic autoimmune disease in 1998. Williams will do battle with former child star turned radio-and-television personality Danny Bonaduce (The Partridge Family) on the special. Other bouts on the evening's card include Tonya Harding vs. Paula Jones, and rapper Vanilla Ice vs. Todd Bridges (Diff'rent Strokes). Michael Buffer (of "Let's Get Ready To Rumble" fame) will serve as the ring announcer. Howie Dorough has been collaborating on songwriting and producing with Pollyanna for several years, and the siblings have worked together to raise awareness and funds for the Dorough Lupus Foundation. The pair's next big benefit will be the Lupus 2002 concert/auction event, which is tentatively scheduled for June 22 at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida. -- Jason Gelman, New York
