Date: Dec 14, 2000 Tour stops in Sacramento, Ft. Lauderdale and Las Vegas are extended. by Rob Evans LiveDaily Senior Writer New Backstreet Boys tour dates have been added in several markets in recent days, according to tour organizers. Tickets for at least three new dates are scheduled to go on sale on Saturday (12/16). Strong ticket sales over the weekend led promoter SFX Entertainment to roll into second nights for the Backstreet Boys' San Diego and Los Angeles stints. Tickets to those shows are on sale now. Also this week, tour organizers announced second nights for Sacramento, Calif. (March 4), and Las Vegas (March 9). Tickets for both shows go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. A third night has been added for Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., (Jan. 24). Tickets for that show go on sale at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday. Backstreet Boys' publicists claim that 23 of the 26 Backstreet Boys shows were instant sell-outs on Dec. 2, and that only a few seats are available for other shows. More than 2.28 million copies of the new Backstreet Boys album "Black & Blue" (Jive) were sold during its first two weeks of release. The album has topped the Billboard 200 album chart for two consecutive weeks. [Note: The following tour itinerary has been provided by artist and/or tour sources, who verify its accuracy as of 12-Dec-2000. Changes may occur before tickets go on sale.
