Brian uses his heart condition as a time of immense pain and hardship. Howie draws from his sister's death and Kevin's loss of his father. A.J. wanted to us his father's absence but him along with Nick are kind of random. In the song itself it asks "Tell me why I can't be there where you are." They are shown the meaning of being alone and sad in the world. The reason I say this is because, think this song reflects the softer side of Backstreet. How hard do u think it would be to show your long time fans what u acually feel? I also think it was hard for BSB to do this because the critics and fans are used to love/heartbreak songs but BSB released a sentimental song. They probley weren't sure what people would think. It also reminds me that when something BAD DOES HAPPEN, u should not keep thinkin about it and move on, but u shouldn't just forget about it. I think that the song itself has a really strong message that it's sending out about the sadder things in life (i.e.: loosing a friend,relative, or someone really close to u.)When I first saw the video, I almost cried it was so sad, but it was really beautiful how it showed Brian's heart problem and Kevin's loss of his father in '91. I think that whenever someone listens to it they should think about someone they know that passed away, moved away, or that they had a fight with because they might be sad memories, but it will help people to not forget the people that mean something to them even if it is showing them the meaning of being lonely. I have silenced many people who made fun of BSB by explaining that song. When someone asks why I love them, this video is one of my the reasons. Our "role models" are very fake, everyone must agree to that. In fact, most stars today think so much of themselves and so little of their fans that they are never truthful and never share themselves with the people who got them where they are (us)! If BSB trusts their fans and loves them enough to show/share such a personal video, then it's obvious why they have so many loyal to the end fans. They deserve much better than they get. Submitted by alex rosche from coral springs florida north america Date: Sun Mar 26 21:16:30 2000 i think it means for Brian he is lonely because during his operation everyone was afraid he was gonna die so it showed a pic of him dying.A.j, was sad his old little g/f died in a car crash when they were younger also he misses the groups director denniz pop so he is riding a bus that says denniz.Kevin,is really sad his dad died and he is watching a vid of him ( kevin) when he was young with his dad.Nick was lonely because when he was in middle school nobody would hang out with him. Howie is sad his sister died and kevin nods his head sadly cause he knows how howie feels. When they all come together they are singing to eachother, help me with my lonliness and is this what i have to go through.
