Hey!:)
I've noticed that this message board is a pretty active one.

So, I'm requesting all of you, BSB fans, to vote for Nick in the Daily Poll in Cosmogirl:

http://www.cosmogirl.com/

Solo song you're most psyched about?
Nick Carter's "Help Me"
Justin Timberlake's "Like I Love You"

and in MTV:

http://www.mtv.com/news/polls/poll_extra/

Let us show our love and support for the BSB!

Believe in them...

I'm sorry. I'm really very sorry...
I still love them, no matter what, but if there is some truth to that article( and the NY Times isn't a tabloid),it's easy to see how much dammage it could cause their careers. Don't tell me you guys haven't noticed anything strange about them! Just check out the group pics at the fan galleries. when was the last one taken?
And all the news bits and articles on this site, they're all about one of the guys. when did you see the last article about all of them? Doing someting TOGETHER?
I don't mean to sound pathetic and I am sorry for being the only one who is pessimistic and believes she has good reasons to be. I don't mean to put you down.

I Like the articles, it shows what happened behind the stages that have caused so many problems for the boys, and knowing they have gone through all that makes me proud to be a fan. It also says they looked for new management and producers after they left the firm, and a band which is about to break up wouldn't do that. So I think it clears up the rumours.

I wish they just made things clear already! I know they can't stop for every rumour or remark but why, after all this time, do people think they are a puppet band?a boy band? is it me or are there more rumours about them than about any other band? Why do they let those things affect their careers so much? why do they lay low and let so much dirt be thrown in their faces? why do they choose to have confused fans?
I am supprtive,we all are obviously! but how long do you all think we'll be able to take so much?

One day they say one thing and the next, everything changes. No wonder fans may lose trust. Our guys should get their business strategy in order because it sucks! the article underlined it, it didn't put an emphasis on the problem. because yes it is a problem.
How can they do the same thing for years in a row and then just not get along anymore?! How can a band record an album without one of its members?! forgive me but I am very scared! I wish there weren't so much speculating and that things became clear. If they want to break up they should stop playing with our hearts already! I am very serious! too many ambiguous statements, too many long breaks!
I don't even know what to think anymore. my last hope is that if they decide to break up, they'll have the courage to tell it themselves!

this article was just another drama in the music biz. backstreet isn't done yet. they still have many songs to do and any solo stuff is just that. i have been a fan since the very begining. i will always be a fan of a group who grows with their music. i like the fact that they got away from the firm. that group was just looking out for themselves making the firm a more powerful company. i do believe they made their success on the back of backstreetboys. goodluck to nick on his solo thing and also to bsb i hope to hear a new album in the near future. i am a real fan of the music.

The Lost Boys article really disgusted me, I cannot believe that record labels would screw over their artists like that. By reading this you can 100% tell that the Backstreet Boys never had a time when they weren't being screwed over. I mean with Lou Pearlman, how inconsiderate can this man be? Trying to make Brian prolong his heart surgery because of a tour...HEART SURGERY...this man is crazy. And when he BSB's wouldn't do what Pearlman wanted he created another group to throw in their faces, come on now. This is all bull sh*t! Oh, and I just think that is is such a coincidence that whenever the BSB's have something coming out Nsync somehow gets their stuff out a week before our boys...hence Nick's release of "Help Me" and justins song. All I can say is that this new album that the boys have coming out is going to totally reinvent themselves and hopefully they don't have to put up with all this label bull sh*t!!!!

We have been big bsb fans for a long time now. Reading this article just confirmed our ideas on why the band is not getting the type of response they once did when they were putting out the Millennium cd. We have gone to both concerts, the Millennium and Black and Blue and have noticed a destinct difference. Therese thinks Nick is dumb for insisting on a solo career and thinks he should have stayed with the other bsb members because this implies that he can succeed without AJ,Howie,Brian, and Kevin. What made the Backstreet Boys the best band, was all five of them bringing their voices together in a way that made it awesome. I think that the backstreet boys need to take a good look at what made them successful and see that it wasn't their inflated egos or how much money they make, but it is the music's messages, that they all put together, unified.

I thought the article was extremely informative, but at the same time rude. Why would anyone approve this article to be shown on a BSB fan site! These critics have got to realize that they are humans with lives-families,friends- and if they need to take a break, let them! I highly doubt that they can stay out of this business for long.Don't worry fans. they'll be back!

The NY Times a Backstreet fan? Did the NY Times watch Backstreet Boys from day one-follow their every step in their careers? I highly doubt that. And not for nothing but we as fans have to realize that the gossip about Backstreet Boys, the things they go through in the music world will NOT end! All we can do is support them and be behind them 110%! Over the years of watching Brian, Kevin, Nick, Howie, and AJ I have realized that nothing can come in their way. Sure, they aren't going to get along 24/7! Think about it if you hung around 4 of your friends day after day you'd eventually find little odds and ends that annoy you and get on your nerves, so why is it supposed to be different for Backstreet? The Backstreet Boys are able to over come anything--and as long as we have faith in them, they will! This article showed me how cruel this industry could be, and I am feeling with in my heart the pain that the guys had to go through, but you know that old saying "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Well, I think that the guys are becoming very familiar with that saying, and for the sake of them so am I! Backstreet always proves the media wrong every album release that they make, so just root for them on the sidelines and everything will be fine! KTBSPA and try not to let this get to you to much, the guys don't!

It's not because Nick is having a solo career and a CD coming up that we have to say that BSB are breaking up. I'm pretty sure that there were tensions between them but as Nick said in many interviews, they ARE STILL TOGETHER. But right now, Nick wants to do things on his own and he has the right to do them. It's sure that it doesn't please everybody but we have to support him and the BSB no matter what!

hey everyone. i have been a die-hard bsb fan for as long as i can remember, and whether bsb breaks up or not, i will always be their biggest fan. i bought that paper, and read it over and over, and i love nick and everything, but i really dont understand y he would want to go solo. i understand that he wants to prove that he can do good on his own, but i think he's proved that he can be successful in anything he does anyway. i think that if he goes solo, it might hurt bsb's act...i'm not sure about that, cuz aj didnt hurt bsb's act with his alcoholism, brian and kevin didnt hurt bsb's act when they got married, and nick didnt hurt it with the whole nightclub thing. but i'm not sure about his solo act. if u have any statements for me, e-mail me please :)

I think the article shows us exactly how ruthless the music industry can be. It's not about 'five guys trying tolive out their dreams.' It's about money, publicity, and fame.
The Backstreet Boys are a group of extremely talented guys that have worked incredibly hard to get to where they are. Their managers were just taking advantage of the guys fame and their fans. They didn't care about anything but the money.
And I don't entirely agree with the title of the article. I don't think that BSB is a pop sensation that came undone. I think their a pop sensation that will be around forever.

I think this article had some truth to it. Most artists are just puppets so other people can become rich.As for the article, everyone has the right to voice their opinions. So us as fans read it, and move on. Trust in our Boys' to be there for us, just like we are there for them. Nick's solo album is perfect timing. After his album is released, the Boys' album will be released, and it will show everyone that the Backstreet Boys are a group, and it will mean more to the fans and them, because no matter what happens in life, they will be able to work through it and deliver the best album ever. I've supported the Boys' since Quit Playing Games came out, and I will support them for a long time. And now it's time to support Nick with his solo career, AJ being sober, and Kevin and Brian with their new lives as a family.
