Yeah ok I admit the backstreet boys last Album didn't go as well as millenium or Backstreet boys but it went well. Yeah we have lost fans but that is no reason to cry for the backstreet boys. It's one thing to be blind-sighted by the copy cats NSync who robbed Backstreet boys position at Number 1 on the charts and its another to say well their through. there is still hope, there is still faith. I have been a loyal fan for 5 years and just because BSB are blowing up the chart doesnt mean i'm going to go "well ok they are starting to suck so i'm going to love Nsync" then i cant call myself a true bsb fan. i won't be keeping the pride alive now would i? all you so-called bsb fans who say yeah i love bsb only when they are doing well are not true bsb fan... you guys are what i like to call imposters. BSB is not in your heart as you think they are cause if you are supporting NSync and saying "backstreet boys suck" and they going behind NSync's back and saying "NSync suck and bsb rules" then you don't love them enough to be loyal and truthful. I love bsb and i could honestly say i do cause it's true i have risked a lot to atleast be up close and personal with them but has never happened, i still love them and i am satisfied in just seeing them on tv. Ok lets point out the reasons why you would dump bsb for Nsync or any other boy band: 1. kevin and brian got married! (please just because they got married doesnt mean you could hate them, they are human too you know and they need someone in their lifes. Reality check they are not going to stay single just because we want them to) 2. they are going for a more Adult look! (they are growing they cant pretend they are little boys anymore they are grown men with resposiblities and they need to change their image. Just imaging if they were to be singing the same young boy beats and doing the things teenage boys will do won't you get a little bored seeing the same old routine everytime they are on tv? i would) 3. AJ Mclean (my baby) checked himself into rehab! (well ok let's imaging for one moment he would had never gone into rehab, he would still be drinking and he would still be depressed. Let me tell you depressing is not something to f*** with, it could lead to a lot of dangerous stuff for example: drugs, abuse, accidents on and off stage, and even worse death. so just picture it your sitting on your couch watching tv when the news comes on "BACKSTREET BOYS MEMBER AJ MCLEAN WAS FOUND DEAD IN HIS HOTEL ROOM AND NEXT TO HIM A SUICIDE NOTE" (god phorbid), it isn't something you would like to picture but it's reality and you wouldn't be so happy now would you.) so think about it, is this reasons to dump bsb when they need us the most? are these a perfectly good reasons to stop supporting bsb? I think it's partially because of Chapter One because a greatest hits album comes at the end of an artist's career. I think that really hurt them. And everyone talks about how Black and Blue didn't do well...hello? It sold 1.6 million copies in its first week. That's really good but all the people who don't like teen pop are so against it and they want it to die. Why are they like that? For example: I don't like country music and I know lots of people who don't either. But we don't go around saying that it's dying and that it sucks. To each his own and if other people have different tastes in music they have that right. I just get so mad when people make fun of BSB and act like they are nothing. I have to get it off my chest. After I read this article, I started freaking out and my heart sunk. I've been a Backstreet fan since 1997. The Backstreet Boys have been popular and been a group for 10 years. Most artist never see that number so if they are losing popularity now it is sad but at the same time it is good. I've been a Backstreet fan since 1996, when they first album came out here (I live in Argentina). I've been there through all the ups & downs of their careers, loving and supporting them no matter what. That's why all this stuff going around them now bothers me so much. I have to accept that I don't like very much the idea of Nick doing a solo album, but I understand that it's his life, and that anything that I, or any fan, say would change his mind. I know people might say I'm not really a Backstreet fan, because I'm supposed to support his album, but, just for a second, try to understand me. I lost my father to cancer two months ago (I'm 15) and it has been (it's still) really hard for me to get over it. The only thing I can manage to do is lock myself in my room, throw myself in the bed and cry. The only thing that keeps me going on is The Boys' music. I don't want to talk to anybody, just be alone and listen to their music. Right now I can say I truly understand the words on "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely". The Boys mean a lot to me, especially in these hard moments. When I keep hearing and reading that the Boys are breaking up, I feel like someone's hitting me right in my heart. They've became my whole life. My family and friends say I'm obsessed, that I'm insane when it comes to the boys, but I don't care. They say that because they don't understand the feeling. Only we, the Backstreet Fans, know all the Boys have done for us, and that's why I know only you will understand the way I feel. I know the Boys have to do what they want, 'cause that's the only way they could be happy, but I also know they have thousands and thousands of fans all around the world crying every time people say they're breaking up, and I think that's why they keep going on, because they love their fans in a way any other band could ever do. We all knew about BSB suing that @$$ Lou Pearlman and about the management changes. I am just shocked to learn this new information about what went on behind the scenes and us fans had no idea. I can't stand the way their management throws them around like they're some kind of toy. I can't stand that Lou Pearlman. It was HIM and his crew that decided that Brian should continue and finish the tour because god forbid they'd have to push back some concerts.. I mean it was his heart for god sakes. What if something had happened to him? Then Lou would have really been kicking himself. Then that whole thing with Clear Channel buying out the Black and Blue tour. Everyone would assume that they were the reason for the higher ticket prices on the second leg of the tour, but while they pushed LOWER prices management thought it'd be in the Boys' best interest to sell insanely high ticket prices and then leave half the fans standing in the dust because they can't afford it. The Boys didn't like that one bit, and they were very hurt when management decided to push the release of Chapter One. The Boys wanted it to be a 10 year anniversary thing..and that would have been so great, but no, that stupid ass management always has to get in the way. This group is one of the hardest working groups out there today, and I'm so sick of them never getting anything in return for it. Instead it's oh they're breaking up, AJ's in rehab, Nick got arrested..what kind of role models are they?
