The article didn't seem all that biased about bsb and nsync. but whoever said that you give them more respect after reading that article, i totally agree with you. They go through so much shit for us, and they deserve all the respect in the world. i say, they need to spend more money on letting themselfs decide on what they want in life, and making some better choices on who they want to control their lives. Those jive people act like they are god, you know?? these are grown men, and they can wipe their asses by themselfs. They dont need people to make up their lifes. I hate management. lol, can you tell?

We all know that critics of the Backstreet Boys and N Sync have been predicting the demise of "boybands" (five-part vocal harmony groups) for a very long time. Nick's solo project is only the latest reason why they think the BSB are splitting up. We have all heard Nick say that Now or Never isn't going to interrupt the next Backstreet Boys album. I am listening to "Help Me" right now and I think that it's awesome. I can't wait to get the CD. (Rock on Nick!)The only thing this article did was make me respect the boys even more. They've had to go through so much to put their music out there for us fans. I think that if I ever got to meet them, I'd thank them for not giving up. I would have been a lot easier. If anyone out there is doubting how much longer the Backstreet Boys are going to be together, have a little faith.

I know I must have said this a million times but the rumors will NEVER end! You as true fans just have to know the truth from the false! For all the guys have done for you I hope you can do that from them. Look at Areosmith they are still going strong, maybe not as strong from when they were younger, but still very strong for their age. And you wanna know why they are still doing that? Because of their fans! Stick by Brian, Kevin, Nick, Howie, and AJ, keep the faith, and I promise everything will be alright! KTBSPA!

i must say that, even though i still stand beside them, the artikle is true. It's time for a new bsb eara, a adjusted sound to this time, a maybe more daring. Don't get me wrong, i like the music they made so far. but this buisness is about keeping up to date, and i believe that they have been sticking whit the same sound long enough. it doesn't mean i'm any less fan than before, it just means that i would like to see them succesfull for al long long time :) cheryl

how can we say that we are "true" backstreet fans? I began reading a few posts and it made me sick. I have been a fan for over 7 years now, and I don't plan to let one little article make me stop being one. i think this reporter has nothing else better to do than try to ruin the backstreet boys. i have to say one thing about nick - if he really and truly loved the guys like he says he does he wouldn't have stayed with the firm - he knew that would have bothered them.. but i guess that's the way it goes. ktbspa!

Ya know this article was ONLY put out there to make you loose your faith in the Backstreet Boys and for some of you it seems that you have. If that is the case than you weren't a TRUE fan to begin with! I know you all say "The Backstreet Boys won't be around forever," And hey, I know when they are 90 years old they are NOT going to be dancing up on stage to "Everyone." LOL But what I also know is that Music is their life and they are NOT just going to give up on it so easily. They are going to keep on doing it as long as we keep on supporting. So support the guys-KTBSPA! And remember this quote- "Ignore the media, not the guys!"

I agree w/ what Kevin said. I loved "black and blue" but I was somewhat dissapointed by it. It just wasn't s good as i thought it would be, but it is a good cd. Bsb won't last forever but I don't think that thier time is up. I want them to come out with another album a.s.a.p but that's not going to happen, so the boys need to go ahead take some more time off so when thier next album comes out, they can do it right. I applaud nick for going solo becuase you can only be so much of yourslef being in a group. I want to get to know Nick Carter the artist now, I already know Nick Carter of the backstreet boys, you know what I'm saying. Personally I think all of them should do solo projects in the near future. I also agree with them saying that everytime they wouldn't do something, they would get NSYNC to do it. I see that. I'm tired of my boys alway being second best to them. Nysnc is a great group but I think that there isn't much difference between their first album and thier second. Bsb has grown a lot, and as backstreet boys fans we have too. We've grown together, and as long as that keeps happening (us growning togeether) then everything will be alright. so keep the faith, and keep the backstreet pride alive. PEACE!!!!!1

i agree with the statements made in this article. i love backstreeet boys especially nick. if i read this article a few years ago, i would have strongly disagreed with it, but now i realize that its the truth and i can finally accept the fact that the boys wont last forever. i hope nick has a lot of success with his solo album but maybe he should have talked it over more with the rest of the group so that there wouldnt be hard feelins. i really respect all the members but pretty soon the group will eventually come to an end, if they want kids or do anything else with their lives it will be best to do it after the band takes a break. i would be so sad if they broke up but just think of all the good times, and joy and pain that has made us stronger, that the backstreet boys have brought to us!

I think the article was very informative. I thought how amazing it was that they have managed to stay together all this time after all the shi* they have been put through with past manangement, record companies, concert promoters and lou f*cking pearlman who are just out to make a quick buck on them and not keeping their best interests at heart. I did think the release of the hits chapter one album was premature and they should have been able to wait until 2003 to release it but that is just one of the many examples where their thoughts and ideas get disregarded. It sickens me that lou pearlman still has his hand in the "backstreet pie" after all these years. He is a greedy bastard that took advantage of 5 young talented guys who just wanted to (and still want to) make music. I have been a bsb fan since 1998 and have traveled all over the country just to see them in concert and I will continue to support bsb in whatever comes next. KTBSPA!!! :)

I just know one thing about the media: reporters often write a lot of things that are not true! I think that we should wait and see...

Hello, all. I'd like to comment on this article. I do not disagree with the statements made here. The fact is nothing lasts forever, and it may just be time for the Boys to move on to other things. It seems that they are smart enough to know that they won't be hot forever, so they've decided to explore different avenues. What I do disagree with is the media's fixation on them, how they are rooting for them to fail. Does anyone pick on nsync this much? Just wondering. Sure, backstreet's music could be better, to match the great voices they already have, but I'm sure they'll do better with their new album. I've enjoyed their music for 3 years, but I always found myself expecting more. They could do so much better music-wise, but as for their fans, they have been loyal to them, and vice versa. I've never seen any artist care so much for fans. I'm thinking that the public picks on bsb so much because they were the first boy band. I don't know, that's just my opinion. All I have to say in conclusion is that maybe they should find a new record label (since jive keeps screwing them over), but maybe they can't find a new one for reasons we don't know. Also, they should stay positive and concentrate on what should really matter: the music.

This article really pi**ed me off cos it makes out that its the end of BSB when it isnt. The boys have gone through soo much sh*t and they're still together which shows how good they are. Nsync don't deserve all the success that they've had cos they're just an imitation of the backstreet boys. They're not original.BSB are original and sound sooo much beta than NSync. I don't care what this article and all the other critics say. BSB make good music which makes me happy and millions of people happy and thats all I care about. They've got a new album coming out which is gonna b wiked and they're gonna be together for agez.NO1 can take their place!Good Luck to Nick for his new album and to BSB for their new album cos they deserve it.KTBPA

When I had read this article I had many emotions , I was sad, mad and happy. The reason why I was mad is because of all the $hit that the boys went through. Everything with The Firm , and Lou "the @$$" Pearlman. To think that the people they thought they could trust with managing them, just turns around and stabs them more than once in the back is horrible. It makes me sad and mad to think people would do such a horrible thing. The reason why I was happy when reading this article is because the boys have gotten through so much and are still happy to be making music. Not only that but they are also loyal to us, the fans.

Ppl,Ppl,Ppl. I am getting so sick of this whole "BSB Breakup" crap. & I am getting sick of N'Sync, while over the years I've put aside my juvinile reasons for not liking them such as "They're ugly" after reading this article I grew to disgust them even more. I mean hello people Lance is off in Russia being studied like a lab rat so he can go to outer space, Justin's going solo, Joey is doing movies AND has a kid (and he's not married by the way),and there's this whole Justin /Janet Jackson rumor going around. But where are the critics out there that rag on N'Sync?! Everytime something happens to Backstreet..OMG they're breaking up! This is because critics WANT them to fail, so they can still make themselves feel better after years of "Oh they'll be gone in a year" that hasn't happened, so instead of saying they made a mistake and Backstreet isn't that bad, they try to cut them down. I'll admit the Boys could have done sooo much better than "Black & Blue" it's not all their fault, you can't rush an artist into recording something and them expect it to be the biggest thing out there, if that were true every "Joe Blow" in America could slap out an album and be a hit. & I am very upset w/MTV when you have VJ's like John Norris and Iann Robinson who are fine with everybody BUT the Backstreet Boys how are they supposed to be painted in a positive light on that station, when every 5 mins it's something about N'Sync. Both of which w/out Backstreet wouldn't be as popular. I can see it now, if it hadn't been for Backstreet the world would be like Carson who? TR what? Go VH1! This article also made me hate Lou Pearlman and Leighass even more. If anyone has nething to comment on, or add to this, feel free. & e-mail me, tell me what'cha think.KTBSPA

The writer's name is already "out there." The New York Times is one of the best, most credible newspapers in the country. The article was well-researched and factual. I don't like it that Nick was left twisting in the wind though. He doesn't have all the blame for what's going on with BSB right now... there are four other guys. When have you heard them saying they support Nick's album? I mean, really say.. it's good, we're proud of him, you go Nick? Never. Right. Pfffft.
