A.J-We really hope you get better! You and your boys mean so much to me and kelsey! When we are depressed or sad we just turn on your C.D and all the sudden it just makes me feel so much better i feel like you guys are singing just to me. A.J you bring the crazyness to the group i mean if there was no you i would still love the group just you really make it more complete. I never thought that five hott guys would come along and cange the pop world i mean you 5 are amazing. I never thought you could love someone that you never met as much as i love you five (but you five have shown me that it is very possible).I was so sad when i found out i would have to wait enother 2 monthes to see you! I mean i was going to see you July 14 but then you went to the docter. I am happy in a way though that the boys stop touring till you felt right again ( cause it would not be the same withought you )I am glad you are doing the right thing for you though. I really hope you get better because i want to see you ( really bad ). I love you so much no words could discribe. I would love to see you and met you cause i hear you guys are great and i hear you are one of the best to fans! I know you guys do your musice for the fans. I just hope the best for you and the boys! I hope you get better and come back. It is just not the same without you. you are the bad boy of the group and you are really crazy. You bring out the best of the group and that is what is what is so great about you. You are nonstop and would never give up, thats why I belive in you! AJ,
I just wanted to let you know that all your fans are supporting you and the guys as you face your problems. I've been through depression and I know it's hard to face that you have it, I had a hard time doing it. Just remember to be strong and we (the fans) are all here to support you, Nick, Brian, Kevin, and Howie. Guys keep your heads up and be strong. Nick, I know your upset. I saw you on TRL and it hurt me to see you cry, but everything will work out for the best. Hang in there baby. The same for the rest of the guys, AJ's family and the fans. Hang in there everything will work out.

Dear A.J., When I heard what you are going through I instantly began to cry. To learn the person you love with all your heart is suffering from depression is something so hard to cope with. I’m writing to let you know how much I care and love you. I know you haven’t met me, and I haven’t even met you. But, that doesn’t mean I can’t love you dearly. Many people all over the world go through what you are going through, and I think being honest and having the truth be told of what you are going through is an inspiration to a lot of people. Since you went out and got help, people in your same situation will I think have the courage to go and receive help as well. I have been a continuous fan of you and the rest of the Backstreet Boys since 1996. You’ve pretty much been my life for the past 5 years. I know that sounds quite odd. But you are such an inspiration. I remember a while back when I think you broke your leg *Or something similar to that* and you still went on the stage and performed. Your constant devotion to your fans just shows the great man you are. You will be in my prayers everyday till you are well again. I love you AJ. You're getting the help you need. I watched trl and i saw them tell everyone about your problem. I am so sorry and i know you can get through this because i just do and i know that if Brian could get through his surgery and Kevin loosing his father than you can definately do it. You guys have gone through so much and i will pray that you get through this quickly because i miss you so much already. I went to the concert on June 29 in Hartford, for a while i hadnt been as obssesive with you as i used to be but after seeing you when you first came out "oh my god" i was going crazy. I cried when i first saw you and i was screaming "A.J. i miss you soooooo much". Well anyway i love you with all my heart and i will hope that you can and will get through this for yourself and your fans! Good Luck! I Love You!

Aj,
I think that you are an incredibly strong person. It takes a lot of courage to admit that you have a problem and to go ahead and mend that problem. I wish that you were able to talk to my brother to help him realize that he toohas a problem. The first step is admitting to the problem and he cannot do that. I also know how you feel about your grandma because my grandma died a few months ago. I too suffered from depression, the only difference is I was lucky enough to get through it without harming myself too bad. You are a wonerful, nice, intelligent, gorgeous, and above all TALENTED Man. It would be ashame if you did not acknowledge your problem, but because you have you will help thousands of people cope with their problems, like my brother hopefully. Now you can return to where you should rightfully be, on the stage where you live. All of us look forward to a speedy recovery and and to see you back onstage healthy, happy, and wiser. You have all of us here and your 4 brothers who work with you. I am looking forward to seeing you when my date is rescheduled in September. You are a wonderful person and an awesome role-model. **AJ**As I sit here, thinking about you being ill in a rehab center in an unknown place, I want to cringe, but God bless you for being brave and strong enough to show us the shape of your heart by being honest with the best fans in the world: The Backstreet Boys fans. I admire that and truly appreciate that about you and the rest of the boys being able to talk about this type of situation. AJ, you know the fans very well, and enough so that you can turn to us when you need to be hugged genuinly, and loved deeply. We, the Backstreet fans will always be here for all of you, and I am praying as often as I can for your health and safety. Get well, AJ, then worry about touring again. Aj,
I can't say that I'm dissapointed in you. I'm actually very proud of you. I have gained a whole new amount of respect for you. The courage you had to admit to your friends and the entire world that you needed help is by far the strongest thing I have ever seen anybody do. They shouldn't refer to you as the bad boy, AJ Mclean. You're not at all, at least not in my eyes. In my eyes I see nothing but bravery and courage. There are so many people of all ages that look up to you all over the world. You have touched every single one of their hearts, as you have touched mine. I'm happy you told the truth to the world beacause you are going to help so many people. I'll make sure I have a spot for you in my prayers everyday.
