Dear Backstreet Boys,
My name is Emily Zaler and I am a FANATIC! Right now I am supporting you guys more then I ever have! This is a very tough time for you , but i KNOW that you guys can handle it. Even though i dont know you personally, I know that each of you are individually very strong men! You guys have shown that in many points in your careers, including low points and high points. This is just another thing that you WILL overcome. BELIEVE IN YOURSELFS! YOU CAN DO IT!
AJ, the best thing you could have done was to admit your problem. That is your first step to success! WAY TO GO! Keep working hard , you can do it! And when you overcome it , I will be there on August 7th in Vancouver, Canada when your tour kicks off again to cheer you on! Even though Ive never met you , I KNOW you can handle it! You guys have already inspired me and touched my life greatly, and when you overcome this , it will be another thing to add on my list!

I miss you already even though you have only been off the scene for a couple days, and I know you can get through this and we ALL believe in you. You're a great artist, writer, performer, and an all around awesome person so don't let this wreck you. It's not worth it anymore and I'm so proud of you because you were brave enough to admit you had a problem and got help. Not many people can do that. AJ,I am glad you are getting help and had the gutts to admit that you had a problem. You must be brave and take care of yourself. The road can wait. Take as long as you need. Hey Bone Daddy!I just want to let you know that if anyone has the friends and family and support to pull through this thing, YOU DO! We, the fans, are behind you 100% and we know that you are strong enough to get over this and move on with your life. You have so much ahead of you that you should concentrate on the future and goals you want to achieve. To the rest of the BOYS: Thank you for being so strong and supportive of AJ and his decision to get help with his problems. He really needs your help and brotherly love. i want to remind you that you have millions of people that love you. Every one cares about you, as you can tell by the turn-out of this "best wishes thing"
It hurt me so much to sit there @ home and listen to B-rok, Kev, D, and Nicky talk about it.
Nick didn't talk any.the whole time he looked down.except this one time he looked up. you could see his eyes start to water. That's the part that made me feel the saddest. you could tell that he felt terrible. he really loves you. Heck, WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!*****

Dearest AJ,I honestly don't know where to start - I am so proud of what you did and how much courage it took you to take such a big step. I am so proud of how mature you have become and how much stronger you will become after this. You are in my prayers and I hope you will get better soon. A lot of people say this is the end, and I hate when people say that. Cuz I know it's not. I am glad that you are getting help and that your four "brothers" are supporting you. I just want to say that even though I may not be the biggest fan of the Backstreet Boys I totally respect them in a way I've never respected anybody before. I bet that if one of the guys from *NSYNC we're in this position they would have made up some lie, but BSB just came out and told the whole truth. I also have so much respect for A.J, it takes a lot to come out and admit you have a problem and for him to do that is so good and i wish him the best of luck and support. There are so many people out there that refuse to admit they need treatment, and perhaps your situation will lead them to take the necessary steps to get better. When I heard the news, I have never been so deeply saddened in all my life ... but yet, I have never been so proud of anybody in my entire life as I am of you. It takes a lot of courage to admit that indeed you have a problem and even be willing to get help. I'm proud of you! You came out and admitted something that would be hard for MANY people, that you need help. I know that you'll pull through, because you're strong. AJ-
I don't know if you'll ever read this but I hope you do because you will see just how MANY people love and care about you. It's funny how entertainers become a part of our lives. You feel as though they are part of your family when you've been a fan for so long.
When I was watching TRL and saw the boys come on and express to us what happened, I cried. I'm not much of a crier but it just hurt ME so bad to know what pain AJ has been in. When AJ sang his song on the tour bus, I cried even harder. I must say I love that song and that is has so much meaning to it. It totally described what he has been going through. It also hurt to see how much pain the other guys were going through. Their brother was going through so much and they just desperately want to see him get better.
AJ, if you are reading this, I KNOW you'll get through this. Just give yourself some time and you'll be able to beat this battle. Everyone has their ups and downs in life but it's how you handle the downs that show your true character. I admire and respect you even more than before because of the guts it had to come out and admit you had a problem. I admire the guys too for not "sweeping it under the rug" and admitting to their fans what was really going on. Anyone who stops being a fan after this wasn't a true fan in the first place and isn't worth your time. We all love you and pray to God that you will make it through and we know you will. Everyone will keep you in their hearts until you battle this thing through. God Bless you AJ.
