I mean, shirts, posters, bags. Everything. Who would really spend money on a Backstreet Boys pencil? Just a waste of bloody money. Some kids idolise celebrities too much. The only thing worth buying is their albums or cds. Apart from that, what are you going to do with the other stuff? I know a girl who was totally in love with Hanson. She spent at least $200 on Hanson crap. After two years, she she didn't like them anymore. Oh yeah. I finally got Black and Blue. Of course, almost every everyone goes through a phase where they are obsessed with a celeb. Very normal I assure you. I realized that it was crazy that I would spend so much time and money on *NSYNC. So just like that, I stopped caring so much about them. Okay, so they are normal people just like you and me, only difference is, they're famous, filthy rich, and so on. If they are so normal, why do we worship them? Why do pray we'll meat them someday? I mean, I'm sick of hearing all the competition between Nsync and Backstreet. C'mon peoples, when will you learn that these people are here for our entertainment. They give us music. Each group has their own style of music, so we can distinguish the groups, but that doesn't mean we have to dislike one group just coz they sound a little like the other. I do not acuse Nsync of being Backstreet copycats because they're not. They're not Backstreet try hards, they just have their own style. Don't forget that they share the same songwriters, that's why some of the songs are similar. Like what Val said, we don't see fans of Blink 182 fighting with fans of nofx or mxpx. They just accept each other's music. I wish Backstreet fans could be more like punk rock fans. And records are meant to be broken, so it doesn't matter who's at the top. Just stick to the music you feel comfortable with and don't complain about others. YES THAT'S LOU PERLMAN'S FAULT decided to copy BSB and hired bunch of guys to make lotta money. Get it? So you have the master and the shadow... The shadow s*cked. It really s*cked. Now the shadow gets out and becomes another master. There's 2 bands on the market. Who cares. Do you see people fighting over LIMP BIZKIT and KID ROCK... no... why? coz they love ROCK in general... not just one band. Here's the deal. I don't like Nsync's music. It's not the music that I could listen to for hours and hours and hours ya know. It's not my style or anything but I do respect all their fans and the boys themselves. I don't know if you guys saw that but in EACH AND EVERY REVIEW about Black and Blue, there's the word NSYNC. Why? Because we fight so much that the media gets ahold of this whole thing and exagerate it. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions, that, I know. I respect Nsync very much coz I know they worked really hard to get where they are right now. If BSB are breaking the record or not I won't cry, I won't strike, I won't rebel or whatever... they will always be #1 for me... in my heart, whatever happens. Now like whoever said this... Nothing personal against them right? Comes along Caitlyn, still don't hate BSB, but the 'image' or whatever cuz I don't even know the poor girl, that she projects. Like you said, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, she is allowed to have hers and so am I. So what if I'm against what she's for? I know what I stand for. And I hate it when the only excuse BSB fans have for not appreciating *NSYNCs' music is that they're copycats. That's getting old and you still can't get enough of it. EVERY SINGLE GROUP out there deserves a chance to make it, and what makes BSB more deserving of that success than *NSYNC? You can't plan how soon your succes will grow or even if you will break into the business. BSB were lucky to make it first and if *NSYNC broke the market after, does that necessarily mean they copied BSB. Though I gotta admit BOTH groups copied some aspects of each other. I just don't get it. When you say 'they're trying to hard to be BSB' it's almost like you WANT them to be BSB. They have proved themselves, they have moved past your insults, they came out of their shadow. They are worthy of whatever comes across them. They actually look like they're having the time of their lives b/c they know thier fame might disappear as quickly as it came. Both groups can share the market.
