The concert on the other night was so amazing. I didn't get to the venue until 7 PM, but there were already a lot of people there. Most of the concert goers were under the age of sixteen and there were a couple of TBs carrying signs with AJs name on them.

First opening act was Mindi Abair, from BSB Band, who did some songs that she wrote. She has an amazing talent for writing and a voice to match. The rest of the BSB Band did back up for her while she sang. One of the guitarists was really cute. Her set lasted only fifteen minutes but it was fifteen minutes of pure entertainment for a rock fan like me.

After Mindi came Nobody's Angel. If anybody doesn't already know they were the group who sang in the ABC movie that Justin Timberlake was in called Model Behavior. They came out on stage and posed as Charlie's Angels, which was kind of cute. After breaking the pose they started singing a couple of songs, sorry but I can't remember the song titles. And then for their finale they did a song mixed with house music. The last song they sang I didn't really care for because the bass was way too high and it gave me a headache.

Nobody's Angel left the stage and for the next twenty minutes the stage crew finished setting everything up. And then the moment everyone was waiting for came. Johnny, aka AJ, was led onto the stage by one of the BSB security guys, who was wearing a black shirt with POLICE written in white letters plastered on the front, in handcuffs. The guy led him to the middle of the stage and stood in front of Johnny for about two minutes while the band warmed up. Then he took the handcuffs and Johnny started his set.

He did cover songs of STP, Metallica and Rage Against The Machine. Then he introduced himself to the crowd in a British accent as Johnny No Name. He asked the audience if anbody knew anything about boy bands, who the Backstreet Boys were and if they knew a member by the name of AJ. Of course, the whole crowd went wild when he mentioned BSB and AJ. Johnnny started saying that as a favor to his friend AJ he would sing a song AJ wrote that didn't make it onto the Millennium album, but was on the B-side to the Larger Than Life single.

When he was done singing "If You Knew What I Know" he went into "Bad To The Bone" as a dedication to AJ, while playing a two-string guitar. After "Bad To The Bone" Johnny did Brian McKnight's "Back At One" for 'all the lovely ladies in the house tonight' as a rock ballad. Throughout the whole song everyone in the audience that knew the words were welcome to sing along with him.

Johnny finished with "Back At One" then sang AJs favorite BSB song "Hey Mr. DJ (Keep Playin' That Song" which led him and Mindi into singing "Play That Funky Music White Boy". Then Johnny said that unlike the Los Angeles concert, where he did two BSB songs, he was going to do another one. The first four strings of the song the band played everyone started giong crazy because it was "Lay Down Beside Me".

After singing "Lay Down Beside Me" he went back to singing "Play That Funky Music White Boy" which began a medley of "Don't Want You Back", "Larger Than Life" then "Play That Funky Music White Boy" once more. That was when Johnny and Mindi started to match each other note for note, with Johnny doing vocals and Mindi on the saxophone. LoL, it got to the point where Johnny gave up and told Mindi that she won. They finished the song and then Johnny introduced the band to everyone. When he was done with the introductions Johnny and the band left the stage.

When they left the stage some people left the venue, but most of us stayed. Those who stayed behind started yelling "AJ" or "Johnny" to come back on stage and do an encore. After about ten minutes AJ came back as himself and told everyone that he had a special guest backstage for us. He started telling us a story about the other members of BSB he called up to go on tour with him. The way he told the story you could tell that the mystery guest was Howie because he called Kevin, Nick and Brian as 'K', 'N' and 'B'.

When we all guessed who the mystery guest was AJ said that the only way he would come out was if we started calling him by his name. So, of course, everybody started yelling "Howie" with a few people shouting "Johnny". The first time we called out his name Howie didn't appear so AJ told us to try again and then Howie came out.

Howie came out from behind the curtains. He and AJ broke out into their own rendition of the Commodores' "Brick House", "Play That Funky Music" and "Hey Mr DJ". Towards the end Howie did a little rap and when he was done he looked a little embarrassed. To close the night AJ, in true AJ fashion, took his water bottle and started to spray some on himself, Howie and the people who were in the front row. Then they left the stage and the house lights came on.

I have got three words to describe this show: AWESUM! AWESUM! AWESUM!!!!..

I got to the Joint around 7:00 just as all of the chaos began.. There were a few fights that broke out and some were kicked out of the venue before the show even began. I flew this show solo, so I did not have a hard time pushing my way through the main floor.

I really enjoyed Mindi's performance. She is very talented. She reminded me of Jewel. Nobody's Angel was good. They're a cross between a young Spice girls and TLC. It was great to see a different side of AJ.. This just goes to show how multi-talented he really is. We heard songs ranging from Rage Against the Machine to Brian McKnight. (I love Johnny's rendition of this song much better). The crowds went crazy when "Johnny" performed his dedication song "BAD TO THE BONE" for AJ.. It rocked!!! I was glad I got to hear one of my personal favorites: Hey Mr DJ. I had a feeling that we might get to see Howie perform with AJ. I am a huge Howie fan and was really excited when AJ said he was here!! The house was rockin to Brick House. They definitely got it GOIN ON!! AJ was kidding Howie about being too old to perform the song the way they used to.. For being sooo old, Howie can move. (I can't say to much about being old, I am 4 yrs older than Howie) For me, seeing Howie was the highlight of the show. (sorry AJ)

I cant wait until April 4, so I can see Johnny perform again in Chi-town.

My friend Erica (19) and I (18) went to the Johnny No Name concert in Las Vegas this past Tuesday (3-28-2000). The concert itself was great, except for the fact that a the Hard Rock Hotel could have been a lot more organized. People started showing up at noon, and my friend and I arrived there at 2 p.m. after a 5 hour drive. The security refused to let people inside until 7 p.m. with the show starting at 8 p.m. The wait was horrible going into the last hour due to the fact that fans were pushing and shoving starting at 6 p.m. until the time the concert was over.

Erica and I ran into Mindi Abair (one of the opening acts and the saxaphone player in the Backstreet Band). She was very nice and gave us pictures of herself and signed them and took a picture with me. Mindi also did a great performance as did the second opening act "Nobody's Angel".

As the concert went on A.J. aka Johnny did a great job . He sang a song dedicated to "Bone" of the Backstreet Boys entitled "Bad To The Bone", as well as a few BSB songs and other popular favorites as Brian McKnight's "Back At One". There was a point in the show where Johnny left the stage and the crowd started to chant that they wanted Johnny to come back. A.J. then came back and said that Johnny had left and that we had gotten A.J. instead. He did a few more songs and brought out a suprise guest which turned out to be Howie of the Backstreet Boys. The guys both did a great job and A.J. even threw out two empty water bottles into the audience of which one I had caught but got hit out of my hand sending almost the entire audience behind me falling down onto the floor including my friend.

I believe that a lot of people liked the concert but the employees at the Hard Rock Hotel literally told us that we had to "fend for ourselves". There were at least two fights in the audience and a 6 year was forced out of the crowd due to being crushed and I myself experienced an asthma attack due to being crushed and a lack of oxygen. I think that if you are going to see the concert anytime soon be prepared for the worst because you are not even going to have 2 inches to move and if you are taking young children please don't have them on the main floor to insure their safety. Other than that have a great time, cuz A.J., or should I say Johnny really knows how to put in a show!

Oh my gosh! I have just become an even BIGGER Howie D. fan than I was before! I am very careful what I touch now because of this, so read this!

It all started last Saturday when the Johnny NoName (aka AJ) tickets went on sale for all over the country. Very excited and anxoious, I got two tickets that I kept very carefully hidden so nothing would happen to them. Everyday I would count down the days until March 28th when I would finally get to see AJ, er.. Johnny. I left my house with my mom, a VERY BIG Backstreet and especially Nick and Howie fan, early to get in line to be the first in the Joint at the Hard Rock Cafe. There were girls everywhere with cheetah print hats on carrying stuffed animals to throw to Johnny and I was one of the only ones with signs to show him. Fianlly after hours of waiting, we got to go inside and be in the front. Time seemed to fly as Nobody's Angel and Mindi Abair sang their songs and welcomed Johnny out. After much screaming and crying, even, he started to sing his songs. He sang Rage Aganist the Machine, BRIAN McKnight, and one of my personal favorites, Bad to the Bone, but probably the best ones were the BSB so ngs he sang, Hey Mr. DJ, Lay Down Beside Me, and Don't Want You Back. I never wanted that night to end. As he changed into his white suit and hat, that he looked VERY VERY good in, I knew that it was almost over. Then he came out, with no coat on adn just pants on! He told us that 'Johnny went bye bye, and AJ went hi hi". I couldn't belive this was happening! He then said that he had a major surprise for us. I freaked! I knew what it was, I thought! Brian was there, but I was wrong, it was HOWIE!!!! He introduced himself, and AJ and Howie sang duets and Howie could have never looked better!Teh, after about ten or fifteen minutes, they left and told us that we had been a very good audience and they would never forget us!

After everybody had cleared out, my mom had to go to the bathroom, so I waited. and while I waited, Mindi Abair, and her guitar player (I forgot his name) came walking up, and I freaked! I got their autographs and asked them to give AJ something for me. (a note) They did of course, and they counldn't have been more sweeter. We walked out, very satisfied, and then a security guard that we had gotten quite close to during the hours we waited to go inside, asked us to come here. We went into a quiet place and my mom asked if there was someplace that we needed to be (like... where Howie and AJ were) and he said YES! I couldn't believe it! He told us to go iside to the Retail Store, but we didn't hear it from him. We quickly ran, afraid we would miss something. And sure enough, guess who was in there? yes, HOWIE!!!!!!! I started to cry, and i was very embarassed, but he took my hand, held it for a few minutes, and said it's okay, you'll be alright. I then told him I loved him and touched his coat and t old him I loved him again. I got his autograph, twice, and then the securite gurds said that it was time for him to leave. He looked so good! He was wearong a Hard Rock brown suede jacket he had just bought and black pants. I caoudn't have been happier at that very moment. As he left, we waited around jsut for the heck of it. Then, Nobody's Angle came walking by, and I coundn't believe the luck I was having. I told them what an awesome job they did, and got their autographs. I walked around holding my hand out like it was bleeding badly, so amazed, and I even got offers to buy Howie's autograph from a few fans in the resturaunt. We then met the security guards that gave Howie and AJ hugs and hugged them. Come to find out, they had spent the whole day with them, so we talked with them for a real long time.

As it turned out, March 18, 2000 was the best day of my life, so far. But, in a close second was last October at MGM Grand at the concert of the Millennium, but that, folks is a whole different story!

KTBSPA!

ok, tuesday me and my two friends went down to the Hard Rock where the concert was being held in hopes to meet "Johnny". when we got there ir was about 2:30 and we didn't expect to see people lined up, but there were already about 30 girls lined up. i was talking to the valet guy when we got there and he was saying that the band had already unloaded all thier equipment but he didnt think he saw aj although he wasnt sure. we decided we had better stand inline before it got too long. we had the people in front of us keep our spot though so we could walk around inside. the first time we walked around we saw aj's mom sitting in one of the restaurants, we talked to her for a little while and she was really nice. the second time we walked around we saw amanda (aj's girlfriend) we talked to her for about an hour and she was so nice. she told us about the dog aj had bought her for her birthday, and she was excited about being able to get into places now that she's 21. she kapt saying she had to go then she would start talking about something else. it was about 5:30 that she left to go back upstairs. i dont know what people are talking about that she is mean and stuff becouse she was so nice, we got her autograph and took a picture.

we heard aj doing sound check, some people were saying that he went golfing, i guess thats why no one saw him. about 6 the line outside had rounded the corner, everyone kept pushing to get to the door, they didnt open them until 7, and when they did everyone rushed to get inside, it was a mad house, alot of people got hurt and hte security had lost control entirely, we were about 3 people away from the stage. aj came out first and i think everyone was shocked that he did, he introduced mindi. she was absolutly awsome. aj come back out to introduce nobodys angel, they were pretty good. about 15 minutes later johnny came out in hand cuffs, he sang a few songs, i think everyone loved if you knew what i knew. he did bad to the bone with mindi. then he and the band left, they came back out wearing more casual clothes. aj said "johnny said bye bye, aj sayd hi hi. of course his shirt was off, and he looked good. he said he had talked to kev, nick and brian and they were all busy, and to guess which one he didnt name, them howie came out and they same brick house. the show was fantastic, if you have the chance to go to one dont pass it up!!

I took my best friend to see the Johnny No-Name concert in Las Vegas at the Joint/Hard Rock Hotel on March 28 for my friend's 17th b-day. I'll give you a basic overview and a few things that happened at our concert and if you want to read the full review (More details, quite a bit longer) go to my site, http://bounce.to/backstreets_back

Our first opening act was Mindi Abair, for those few of you who still don’t know who she is, she is a member of the Backstreet Band. I love her songs, but let me tell you, she is SOOOOOO awesome in concert. I met her after the concert, too, when she came out to sign autographs and she is nice and patient. She took a pic with me and my best friend and then signed a pic of her that a guy who was with her was handing out. Mindi is the only celebrity I’ve ever met, but, let me tell you, she is SOO very sweet. I hope that she starts getting some major and good publicity now, cuz she deserves it. You heard it here first...She will be the next Sheryl Crow/Sarah McLachlan/Jewel!!

Second opening act was Nobody’s Angel. They sang to a track and MAY have been lip syncing. It was hard to tell. But, anyway, they are really energetic and they’re songs are super catchy and great to dance to. Not to mention, they are good dancers themselves. One of the girls waved to me, so that was cool. They seem really sweet. I enjoyed them a lot...Not as much as AJ, I mean, Johnny and Mindi, but they really did a great job at getting the crowd pumped (not that we needed it, Vegas peeps are CrAzY!)

Then, the moment we were all waiting for, it was time for the man himself! I’m not going to go into total details because I can’t remember the names of half the songs he sang because, well, because I was so excited. But, I do remember that he ROCKED THE HOUSE! He was so awesome. I loved the way he tried to make eye contact with everyone at least once. He sang “Lay Down Beside Me”, “If You Knew What I Knew”, “Hey Mr. DJ” and a little bit of “Don’t Want You Back” in the middle of “Brick House”. Of course, he sang “Bad to the Bone”, and he also sang “If You Could Only See”. I don’t remember the other ones! lol

Some highlights:

* Someone threw a rubber chicken on stage...AJ picked it up, showed it to one of his security guards, laughed at it, and then started like walking around the stage like a chicken! It was so cute.

* Lots of bras were being thrown on stage. AJ picked one up, held it up to his chest and was like, “It’s my size, how did you know?” Then, he looked back at Mindi, laughed and threw it at her!

* AJ asked for a chair and they brought him a stool...He was like, “Stool, chair, whatever, I guess it will work”

* When he introduced the band, Tommy was wearing a cowprint vest. AJ commented on that and said he looked like a cow!

* Mindi stepped forward and sang a song w/ AJ...I can’t remember which one it was, though.

* Howie came with AJ to Vegas! He had us call Howie on stage...He went through this little thing about calling all the guys (Brian’s home in Orlando playin’ b-ball, Nick’s chillin’ in Tampa, I think he said Kev’s with his girl, Kristen, and then he’s like, I DID get ahold of one other guy, though and he said he’d come and do a little song with me) Anyway, we had to scream HOWIE at the top of our lungs when AJ counted to three. Howie looks so much younger without his goatee and, he was always hot, but now he’s ten times hotter! They sang the "Brick House/Don't Want You Back" medley thing.

* AJ threw two water bottles out to the crowd. I almost caught the second one, but I got pushed back and I fell to the ground...darn the luck.

Overall, it was a great concert for a great cause and if you're going, HAVE FUN, I know you will. If you can't go, I'm sorry cuz you're missing out!

Right now I'm aching all over, terribly sleepy, and can't move that much. Yep, you guessed it.. all because of the Johnny No Name concert. This venue was standing room only (no seats) so you can imagine all the commotion that happened that night! My cousin and I arrived there around 5:30 and there was already a long line, yet we managed to get near the front. Some fans thought we cut them (which we didn't) and I got into a little fight with them. Geez, fans would do ANYTHING to get what they want, they are so rude sometimes!

Besides that, my friend went inside to see them do sound checks, and she met AJ, one of the girls from Nobody's Angel, Amanda, and Mindi. I had to stay in line for 3 hours waiting, we were so packed in line that a little kid was crying because he got pushed to the wall! After being stamped and checked for tix, the doors opened, and everyone pushed and ran. I got smushed to the door but I got right in front of the stage.. a perfect view! People were SO pushy, I was hunched down, squished and mobbed throughout the whole concert. Especially when AJ came over to our side of the stage. You could not even move a finger in the position I was in!

AJ came out to introduce Mindi, and the crowd was so loud. She did a couple of songs and the crowd wasn't as loud when AJ came out. Mindi was good though, and her hair looked cool. Girls seemed to like her guitar(or bass)player LOL. After she was done, AJ came out again (more deafening screams and pushing) to introduce Nobody's Angel. They were good also, they smiled and waved to us a lot. After a lot of songs, finally Johnny came on. Amanda was in the crowd, and was supposed to be near the stage, but since no one wanted to move, she left somewhere.

You probably know all the songs he sang that night, so I won't get into that much. He did a good job on "Killing In The Name Of" which surprised me. People threw A LOT of stuff at him onstage, candy, bears, did I mention a chicken (which he did a chicken dance), a bra (which he picked up) and a bottle of lotion! He sprayed water over the fans and threw the bottle.. Mindi sang parts with him to a couple of songs, and Howie came out to sing also. They did this thrusting thing which was pretty funny. He looked good as well, I'm glad he came!

I loved the concert! ( except the pushing, me getting constantly banged on a metal fence, the pulling of my hair, and my vest!! =) )

Concert Reviews: Johnny No Name - March 27 - Los Angeles, Wiltern Theatre (Part III)

This is the perspective of two people who've followed the BSB since 1997 and who are old enough to be their parents!

A.J. McLean IS Johnny No Name

From Left Orchestra Row A. Live at the Wiltern Theatre, Los Angeles, the first stop on his cross country tour with the Johnny No Name "VH-1 Save the Music" concert, A.J. McLean destroyed the house. No surprise to any Backstreet fan, the guy is an incredible entertainer! From his kick-off greeting as himself to the hand-cuffed entry of Johnny and exit stage right (once again in hand-cuffs), A.J. owned the stage, the crowd, the night!

BSB band-members Mindy (awesome solo performances as opening act and partnered with Johnny), Tommy, and Dennis with their own new identities plus other well-chosen musicians I didn't recognize, pushed the Wiltern's sound system beyond its capability, and no one really objected. There wasn't a single throw-away song; we left wishing there was a CD in the works because you'd love to hit the repeat button over and over and over.

Unfortunately, counting his birthday performance in January, only 9 audiences are going to be lucky enough to experience Johnny. He worked the stage, threw in two costume changes and yielded the mike to A.J. for some work from the BSB songbook (Hey Mr. DJ and Lay Down Beside Me). He also covered Bad to the Bone (yow!), Play that Funky Music, and, with Howie D, a killer version of Brick House. Howie was a great surprise and for anyone wondering, no beard, hair pulled back, broad smile, looking great. A.J.'s popular pelvic hip pops (ok, "thrusts") appeared often and he coaxed Howie into one, then five, and finally ten staccato moves. The house, need I say, went berserk!

The crowd was very eclectic: the usual shrill-voiced adolescents drawing deeply on adrenaline and hormone supplies, many a patient mom and dad with smaller kids trying to make it through an extended school night, and a mix of older 20-30 somethings, some of whom may well have been part of the LA music/show biz scene. Also, at least a few of us who actually remember the Beatles…and earlier (gasp!).

A memorable evening of amazing music and sheer charisma by a man born to entertain. You could not have left that building disappointed. If we're very lucky, A.J. McLean will be "on" on stage until the next Millennium! We loved the show. Go, go, go if you possibly can!

7:00 am I woke up to get ready for school, that day we have a half day so we get out at 12:00 which is really great. During Biology, my 1st period class, I realize I forgot the freaking posters home so I call from the pay phone to ask my sister to bring them.

At 12:00 we get out of school and John comes w/ the posters, what a sweetheart! After that we leave w/ another friend's mom and go to Gina's house, we get around 12:30, since we haven't eaten anything we cook some pasta and watch TV for a while.

Gina's mom says we weren't going to leave until 5:30 so we have a long wait! We basically do nothing for the next few hours and around 4:00 we start getting ready. Wow we look great!!! (hehe!)

So we end up leaving 25 mins late, it takes 45 mins. to get there and the traffic is pretty good so we get there around 6:30.

When we get out in the parking lot we started screaming but realized it was NOT a good idea since it echoed just a LITTLE bit. So we walk from the parking lot to the Wiltern Theater, there we see it "AJ Mclean performing as Johnny No name" ahhhh!

There is a HUGE line and we ended being one of the lasts ones, but it was okay since we got better seats than 99% of everyone else there! (hehe) In the line we saw 2 other girls from our school (2 seniors one of them a little b***) they were totally jealous of our seats!!!

In the line we met this 2 really nice girls and gave them our email addresses. Shockingly the line moves pretty fast and the doors open a little bit earlier than they were supposed to (7:00) so by the time we get inside is like 7:15. The woman tells us: "Aisle 4 straight up" inside everyone is looking for their seats but we already knew were ours were so we ran all the way to the front BABY! There we asked a guard to take a pic. of us =)

A little bit later we saw a bunch of girls around this other girl and we were like "It's Amanda" so instead of going there we waited for her to come to our way, and she did! I said hi and asked to take a pic w/ her she was so nice and agreed, but the freaking bodyguards were pushing her so we don't know how the pic. turned out. She then ran up the stage to backstage, Gina and me were shocked of how nice she was!

After that we started talking to this girls behind us, and the guy that was seating by us was SOO cute, he was supposedly from this upcoming boy-band and all this girls started almost harassing him and the guards got sooo pissed.

Sometime before the concert started we saw AJ's mom so I ran to the door that was backstage and I was like "Denise,Denise" just as she was going in I catch up w/ her, she couldn't say anything 'cuz a freaking body guard pushed her in!

We also saw the guy from EYC I don't know what he's name is, but he has a REALLY interesting outfit on.

Then around like 8:10 the lights went off. JoJo, one of the best DJ's in our radio station, came out he was screaming like a maniac! hehe we LOVE him! So then he talked a little and then introduced AJ! So AJ came out *screaming* he came out by our side of the stage!!! He was wearing those nice jeans w/ the diamonds in the sides, I think they were the same as the ones he wore at the Billboard, then he presented Mindi and left the stage. Mindi came out wearing a great outfit, a red long skirt w/ slits down the sides and a black top w/ and eagle in silver beans, like 4 inches of her hair were bright red and the rest blond, she looked great! And her music is awesome, she is really talented and got a great voice! She sang 4 songs (I think) then asked us if we were getting ready for Johnny *screaming*. After that "Nobody Angels" came out, they are 4 girls, they outfits were pretty cute also, specially the girl w/ the Zebra dress. They sang 3 or 4 songs, lip-singing by the way. But the music was kinda cool.

When they left the lights came back on and we waited for a little while, then the lights turned off again *screaming* then Johnny came out!!! He was wearing and outfit of a Pimp this white suit, the jacket was kind of long and a wife beater under. If you looked closely you could see the suit had like silvery stripes it kinda reminded me of those Mafia-suits except in white. He had one of those Kid-Rock hats on, it was very dark brown or black w/ 2 little feathers.

Then the music started playing it was SOOO loud and I was like "OH MY FREAKING GOSH THAT IS A RAGE!!! (Against the machine)" It was "Killing in the Name off" one of my 2 fav. Rage songs!!! I flipped out I was SHOUTING the words and I looked around and like 2 other girls knew the song everyone else was just screaming and asking "what the hell is this song?" and I was like "Those who die are justified, you wear a badge and you've chosen white!!!!" SCREAMING JUMPING UP AND DOWN!!! I was waiting for him to do the part "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me" (they say it 16X in the song!)But he didn't!!!

During this song Amanda was in front of us we tried to get her attention but the guards wouldn't let us move closer to her and the music was SO loud. She was so cute leaning over the little fence of the VIP section she was really paying close attention and she looked so proud! ahhhhh!!! After that song she walked to the VIP section it was a shame 'cuz if she had stayed there AJ would have been in our side just a LITTLE bit more!!!

After that he asked if we knew what his name was (all in English accent) some people said AJ and he was like "I want you to know that I am not AJ I'm Johnny" so he asked for his name again and we screamed "Johnny" I thought he was going to do "My name is" by Eminem but he didn't. OOOOHHHH! He also said he had a few surprises for us *screaming* but he couldn't tell us yet!

During one of the songs while the music was playing and Johnny wasn't singing I said hi to the girls from "Nobody's Angel" who were standing by us for a couple of songs and then left to go backstage. Okay I don't remember all the songs he did so I'm just going to tell you the ones I remember and some parts that were great.

During the 2nd song he had this standing mic. So he did a pelvic thrust a knocked it over!!!! that boy!!!

I think it was before the 3rd song he asked if it was okay if he sang a BSB song *screaming* then he asked if we recognized it *rock guitar* and I was like "Hey MR DJ" it didn't sound like it at all but I knew what it was because I heard he was going to perform a rock version of it! So I screamed "Hey Mr DJ!!!" of course he couldn't heard me! Lol Gina was like 1ft away from me and she could NOT hear me!

So "Hey MR. DJ" was soooo great I loved it!!! He did the little dance, you know the one in the OC w/ the hands, only 2 times and both in our side of the stage. AHHHH he just knew that is my FAV move!!!! He also performed that song that goes like "if you knew the way she loves me, maybe you would understand why I feel this way about our love" ahhh anyone knows what the name of that song is?!!? He was great in that song too.

Before he performed "If you knew what I knew" he said; " This song was written by AJ* screaming* and it was supposed to be in the last BSB album…is it "Millenium" *screaming* you know with all those other bands out there I get confused, and I was like SHUT UP!!! Lol It was kinda funny. So then he did that song and it was great.

He did "Back at One" with this girl, I don't remember her name she had short hair and was wearing a black suit. Guess what? This song was also great!

In between two songs Johnny said to pay close attention he was going to say something that it was his line he was like "everytime you hear this you'll know I'm around, so EVERYONE repeat with me Be real *repeat* Be cool *Repeat* and…" he turned half way around "be….have!!!" he said rubbing his cute little butt. It was PERFECT english accent, sooo funny!!!

Then he said he was going to dedicate the next song to 'Bone' and he picked up a plastic bone that someone had threw up the stage and he was like "speaking of which" then he laughed and then he said "what kind of nickname is Bone anyway" his English accent was perfect when he said that!

In between 2 songs he grabbed a water bottle and drank a little, then he said ''I'm going to do something that ALWAYS makes the girls scream" so he drank another sip of water the close the bottle and threw it to the audience!!! In between other songs he asked us to scream he was like 'I never been to LA and back in London were I'm from people don't scream much, so LA show me what you got" or something like that and EVERYONE was screaming their asses off!

Before he performed "Lay down beside me" he asked for a chair he was like "someone bring me a chair" walked to our side of the stage and said "just throw it I'll catch it….NOT!" it was cute (funny how I remember some parts sooo well) So then someone gave him a chair, as he was going to seat down he said 'this is a chair, now I'm seating down" For some reason everyone started screaming, yes including me! So then he sang 'Lay down besides me" and he was humping the hell outta that chair!!!

At the end he went over Mindi who was playing the saxo and he said signing "so layyyy down" then Mindi did like the music but hold the note for a little longer and Johnny went like "layyyyyyyyyyy down" then Mindi did the same thing longer, then Johnny was like "layyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy layyyyyyy down" it sounded sooo amazing, me and Gina looked at each other and were like OMG!!! At the same time, then Mindi hold the note for the longest time and Johnny nodded his head like saying "whatever". I'm pretty sure that was the last song Johnny performed, he then left . At some time during the cocert Johnny introduced the band and Tommy and Mindi seemed like the most popular. And then Johnny introduced walked up to the keys and he was like "every tour needs a mascot and this is ours Guido" and he grabbed the little duckie! Then he talked to guido and he Guido supposedly said something and Johnny was like "what little buddie…. Ooooooohhhh behave" it was pretty funny!

A couple mins. later AJ came back he was wearing the same jeans and you could see his gray boxers, he didn't have a shirt on! Which was pretty damn nice! And we saw all of his tattoos!!! He grabbed this yellow baseball cap from a girl in the VIP and was wearing it side ways. He looked really cute.

By the way his hair was like that pretty short spiked look and it was all blond, one of my fav. Hairstyles!

AJ did a convo. of this one song ,I can't remember the name, and "Don't Want you Back" , and Mindi was singing with him. It was great! Then the music stopped and he asked us if we remember about the surprises *screaming * so then he was like "Come here little buddy, came on, don't by shy" and for a few seconds I thought a little Mini-Me was going to come out, but it was Howie D. for some reason I flipped out when he came out and started jumping up and down, I did get him to notice me, so then they hugged and AJ and Howie finished the song, and then AJ told Howie to do one pelvic thrust and they did it at the same time and like the drum guy made this noise it was cool! The AJ said 2, so they did 2 , then he said 5 and Howie looked like *errmmm I don't want to do this* but he did, and then AJ was like lets do 10 and Howie was like "man I don't know if I can" and he like grabbed his back insinuating he is too old (lol) So they did it and there was sooo much screaming it was sooo loud. Then Howie left the stage and waved at us and shock the hands of some girls. Then AJ said bye and trew this one red rose to the audience. Then he left and that was the end.

After that we saw Amanda in the VIP so we waited again 'cuz she had to come our way, when she came Gina took a picture with her at first the camera wouldn't work and Gina was like "I'm soo sorry you have to wait" and Amanda was like "It's okay don't worry" it was soo nice of her to wait. So after Gina took the picture I made my way up to her 'cuz I was behind this bodyguard and I was like "Hi Amanda" and she said hi and I was like "I love your outfit, you look so pretty" and she was like "thanx *big smile*" then looks at my outfit and says "you looking very styling too" it was soo sweet of her to say that! Then I hugged her and she is soo cute and petite she also smelled really good, after that she hugged other fans and was pushed away by the bodyguards.

Just in case you want to know she was wearing this buttom up shirt, like sheer and black, kinda like zebra stripes, I have seen the same exact one at Tommy and Guess and I really wanted it, and this black caprice pants with this cute little beans at the ends. I sware just a couple weeks ago I was saying how much I wanted some exactly like that! So we really like Amanda, she is really nice and sweet, she seems very proud of AJ, and she got great style, she is also a lot prettier in pics!!! Ahhhh they are tooo cute together!!!

After that we left and we were flipping out, we called our friend Laura from the cell phone and then Gina's mom who was at Denny's so we met her there and talked for a little while and got some water, our throats were killing us, then we decided we wanted to eat something but the Denny's was short of waitress so we went to the nearest McDonals!!!!!!!! Ironic uh?

AJ "Johnny No Name" Concert Review Los Angeles, CA Wiltern Theater 3-27-00

When I arrived there were people waiting by the garage to see people (aka AJ or other peeps) I decided not to wait since there was 2 hours till the concert started. But I heard that people saw Howie arrive, but I had no idea that they attacked his car until a day later! That's awful! But lets forget about the bad and go on with the good.

When I got in the theater we waited for about 20 minutes until the 1st act came on. The theater wasn't too big so all the seats were pretty good. First JoJo came out to introduce the show, then AJ came out too and everyone went totally insane!! He was wearing a wife beater with a white jacket over it, old blue jeans, brown boots, and red sunglasses. He had bleached kinda spiky hair. He looked SOOOOO fine! Then he introduced Mindi Abair. She came out and sang 4 songs, she was kinda boring, then she left. And AJ came back out with JoJo and 2 guys from EYC. Then they introduced Nobody's Angel. I think they were lip-syncing cuz they didn't have a back up band. They sang 5 songs and left. Then EYC came out and I thought they were gunna perform, but instead they introduced Johnny No Name!!

He came walking up on stage with handcuffs on while being escorted by a policeman. Then he took the cuffs off of Johnny, and then Johnny started singing my fav song he sings by Stone Temple Pilots. It goes like "Nice to know you, nice to know me, left a message…" Then he continued to rock on. He was wearing a dark gray suit and brown hat. Then he sang some other rock songs and let me tell you now, he did a lot of pelvic thrusting that night!!!! The crowd loved it, especially me! Then he did an outfit change and was wearing a white suit and black hat.

He sang "Back at One" with some person named Crystal, who I think was Amanda who by the way was taking pix with fans before the show. Then he sang "If You Knew what I knew", "Hey Mr.DJ", and "Lay Down Beside Me". When he sang "Lay Down" everyone was expecting him to do his famous "floor routine" but instead he sang "hold me and don't you let go" really loud and did this lil competition thing with Mindi on the sax and he won. But he made up for it by knocking the mic stand over later with you know what. Then he introduced the band members and the drummer guy light his drum sticks on fire and played the drums with them light until they burnt out. It was really cool. Then when Johnny introduced this one guy he said, "ladies you know you all want him" and made that guy all embarrassed. It was really funny, and Johnny was really funny that whole night. Then Johnny's last song was "play that funky music white boy" and he would go "that's me!" and then he left.

But don't worry AJ came back instead! All he was wearing was his blue jeans, with boxers showing, no shirt, no shoes, just some cute white socks. He looked oooooooooo soooooooo fine! Everyone went crazy when they saw him like that! Then he said "Now I know something that you'll all like, and NO I'm not taking my pants off (with a cute smile on his face and a funny way of saying it too) but I do have a very special guest." Then he went to the side of the stage to call out his "special" guest and said "Hey come here buddy, come on, now stop blowing kisses at me and come out it's ok!" And out walks Howie D.!! OMG you should've heard the screams people were going insane all for Howie! It must have made him feel good. Then AJ and Howie talked awhile and then they sang "Brick House" together and Howie did some really cool dancing! Then EYC came out to join them. Then the part when AJ tells Ben the drummer to "hit" him one time and so on, AJ and Howie were getting ready to do a bunch of pelvic thrusting!

AJ told Howie "now it's all in the pelvic area, you just move it around like this!" And then every time the drummer hit the drums AJ and Howie did they're thing, and when it was for 10 Howie said "Man, I'm getting to old for this! I'm tired!" and then the song was over and AJ and everyone bowed and said good bye, and the police man came back and took my poor baby Johnny off back to jail. The End.

OK...got back from the AJ/Johnny No Name concert! It was fantastic!!

JoJo (from KIIS-FM) came out with 2 members of EYC to introduce AJ. Then he introduced Mindi.

The concert started off the BSB Band backing Mindi. She sang her own songs that she wrote. They were great and she is really good!

Next came Nobody's Angel. They lip sync'd their songs and finished with their currently single "If You Wanna Dance." They are good dancers.

Finally the lights dimmed and the Band came back on. Johnny was lead out in handcuffs. He donned a light tan suit with black hat. He looked good. He sang Down then Killing in the Name Of. (Real Head Banging stuff...great!) At some point he went off stage and changed into a white suit with small black pin stripes and a brown hat. Stunning! He brought on a gal named Crystal who he introduced as the first person signed to the BSB's own record label. They sang a duet of "Back At One."

She left and he continued with If You Could Only See, If You Knew What I Knew, Bad To The Bone (he played guitar for this...awesome!), Open Up Your Eyes (He held Diana's hand and sang to her. OMG), Mr. DJ(WOW). Then he asked for a chair. He sat on it backwards straddling it and sang LAY DOWN and did some thrusting on the chair!!!

Next Mindi joined him for a rendition of Play That Funky Music with Don't Want You Back thrown into the middle of it. Very Awesome!!! Then they all left the stage.

People clapped for an encore. Finally, the band emerged and now AJ shows up in blue jeans and NO SHIRT! ::drool buckets were passed around the audience:: Then he calls out his special guest, Howie D.! Howie joins him for Brick House! Those two were to die for!!! Howie was lookin hot. And they did this pelvic thrust routine which was....(how do I phrase this)....almost made my eyeballs fall outta my head!!!!!!!!!! They did it in unison finishing with a quick 10-thrust movement!!!!!!! You gotta see it to understand!!!!!!!!!!! ::hyperventilating just thinking about it::

Then they said goodnight and the show was over.

We went outside and found out where they were leaving. We waited but AJ's SUV left from underneath the building and we didn't see them. However, we met Mindi, Dennis and Tommy. They came out and signed autographs and were really, really nice and chatty! Kudos to them!!!

You're wondering about the song line-up....my daughter, Alex, got one of their line-up sheets which was scribbled all over and AJ smushed up at the end. Mindi had it with her and gave it to Alex. Awesome! Diana also got one from Howie on the stage.

I can't remember any more. Too much flying around in my head. Hopefully, someone else will fill in the gaps!!! And to those of you going to shows--have fun. (I know you will!)

We found out seats, which were okay. Nothing special, but they could of been worse too. The Wiltern is REALLY small, you could EASILY make out people even on the other side of the theater. Not long after we got to our seats, I saw a bit of commotion and I looked up and noticed that Amanda was mingling with the crowd, a section over from us. She looked stunning. She had on tight black pants and a black tank top and a zebra print jacket. She was really sweet and nice to the fans. She was taking ALL kind of of pictures and creating quite a commotion. Infact at one point, security lead her towards the stage and pulled her up on stage. I also noticed Tommy mingling with the crowd. Taking pictures, giving hugs ect. He was taking all kinds of pictures, so hopefully they will end up on his site eventually. We also saw another smaller commotion closer to us. We knew it had to be someone, but it was hard to tell who is was. It turned out it was Claudia. She was wearing the TIGHTEST pants I have EVER seen. Not that she doesn't have the body for it.. but anyway. It was at that point that we knew the rumors of Howie being there were true. So, I was looking around for him... but I knew he was backstage and it turns out he must of been.

JoJo from Kiis Fm came on stage and told us that Johnny was not there yet. But his friend AJ was. I was so shocked when AJ came out. I wasn't expecting to see him for awhile. The place went absolutely CRAZY. I mean, it was INSANE!!! He looked so good. He was wearing baggy jeans and a white wife beater and an open button down white shirt over it. His hair was a 'dirty' blond. And he had his Smokey shades on. He looked INCREDIBLE. I am embarrassed to say that it was impossible for me to contain myself

Anyway, Alex gave JoJo a really nice autographed jacket to auction off. Then he said that this isn't a BSB show, so we can scream even LOUDER then we do there. Then he introduced Mindi, who is INCREDIBLY talented. Love her voice and I am planning on ordering her cd off of her website really soon. She is kind of a cross between Sarah McLaughlin and Sheryl Crow. You really should check out the sound clips of her songs on her site: http://www.mindiabair.com

Then Nobody's Angel came out. I wasn't really impressed. I am sure they were good, but at this point, I was aching for Johnny

Johnny was lead on stage in handcuffs. He was wearing the brown suite and hat that he was wearing at the last Johnny concert with a white wife beater. But he changed two more times during the night. Another outfit was a white suite exactly like the brown one and at the VERY, VERY end (when Alex came back.. more on that later) he changed into blue jeans and NOOOOO shirt. Yes, that's right.. NO shirt. I am getting flush just thinking about it. *sigh* Anyway... what was I saying.. oh yeah...

So, he opened with a Stone Temple Pilots Song (don't know which one.. sorry) and then he performed a Rage Against The Machine song(don't know which one.. sorry). He also performed.. but not in this order:

Bad To The Bone (He played the guitar on this one. But it only had too strings on it - he said it was so he wouldn't mess up -lol)

Lay Down Beside Me

If You Knew What I Knew

If You Could Only See The Way She Loves Me

Back To One by Brian McKnight and another Brian McKnight song

Hey Mr. DJ (a different version... I really liked it)

Play That Funky Music White Boy

Don't Want You Back (only a little of it)

and there was more.. but I can't remember.

Anyway, then Alex came out in baggy jeans and NO shirt and said that Johnny had to go bye bye to AJ came to say hi hi (those were his EXACT words -lol) He said he had a surprise for us.. then he 'coaxed' Howie out onto the stage. Howie had on leather pants and a dark shirt. He looked INCREDIBLE too. He actually managed to take my eyes off of the shirtless Alex for a moment ! They sang Brick House and then Alex asked the band to give it to him five times and Howie and Alex *ahem* how do I put this... moved their hips five times. Then Alex said, band give me ten. Howie looked over at Alex and in kinda a squeaky, worried voice said "ten?" He then put his hand on his lower back, like he was worried it was going to hurt him. But Alex and Howie did ten VERY nicely, I will have you know Then, I am not exactly sure why (since Johnny had already left * according to Alex * ) But Alex was lead off in hand cuffs. And that was the show.

Alex is a born performer. He really comes alive on stage, with his voice and his movements. He also has really learned how to 'tease' the audience REALLY well. He really does belong on stage and I don't think he will have ANY problem perusing a solo career if he ever so desires.

It was a REALLY fun show, FULL.. FULL of energy. Like I said, he is an INCREDIBLE performer and I think ANYONE (even non BSB fans) would appreciate his talent and his musical range. I thought it was really cool that he performed such a variety of music. It really showed off his range really well.

Bottom line, if you have a chance to see a 'Johnny' show.. go.. you won't regret it.

Well, my friend and I had arrived at the Wiltern Theater at 7:20 p.m. and I thought we were going to be late, but we weren't because the show didn't start on time. Well anyways, we went to go sit in our seats and we were in the third row. Well before the show got started there was a mob of girls in the aisle and I wanted to see who all the girls were crowding around. Of course it's Amanda( AJ's girlfriend) and she's trying to make her way to the stage( I did get to take a pic w/ Amanda). Then I see Claudia (the girl Howie's dating) because girls were taking pics with her too. Then there's some totally hot guy from "Baywatch" and I took a pic with him and his friend. Then I went back to my seat and the lights got dim and JoJo from the KIIS FM radio station comes out and gets the crowd pumped. Then AJ comes out and the crowd goes wild. He comes out and talks a little bit about the charity and stuff like that. Then they welcome Mindi Abair on stage and she sings at least 5 songs.

Then Nobody's Angel comes out and they sing their songs. Then it's finally Johnny No Name. He walks through the center aisle and my friend got to touch him. He has handcuffs on, so the police take them off and he goes right into a Rage Against The Machine song and is totally sounding great. He sings other great songs, but I don't remember the names. Then he sings "if you knew what I knew" and the boy sings with all his might. then sings "lay down beside me" and he does get freaky with a chair, he really sings with all his heart during this song. Then some other songs. and then he sings "hey mr. DJ" and "don't want you back." Then he sings " play that funky music white boy" and then Howie comes out and they both sing "brick house." AJ has no shirt on while he sings that song( YEAH BABY!). And the both of them are dancing real freaky towards the audience. oh yeah, EYC was up onstage too during "brick house." And that's basically the end!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!AHHHHHHH!!!!!! Ok, WOW!!!!!!where exactly do I start??? I have SOOOO MUCH TO TELL!!!! and this is all b4 the show so sorry if it's VERY VERY long. but TRUST ME IT'S WORTH IT!!! AHHHH!!!!!! Omg omg omg omg ok well...

The show was at the WILTERN THEATER here in L.A and I went with my friend SYL (Hey Girl!) and 2 of her other friends, we got their around 5:30 or somthing, and we saw this HUUUGE line infront of the theater so we went from the back and Syl's dad just dropped us off in the back of the building which btw was filled with TONS and TONS girls ahhhhhh!!!! Omg so we just rushed out of the car and as we were trying to get out of the car we heard all these screams so we rushed out of the Car to try to see what was going on and some girl said that HOWIE was just there with NO Security or nething and she got it on tape!!!!!!!AHHHHHHH We were minutes late!! Omg!!!!!! So all of us tried one way or another to squeeze in through people to get to the front and just a few seconds later these 2 ppl came with Cameras and had a mic in their hands and were interviewing ppl and so we asked who they were and they said that they were the PPL who do the MILLENNIUM T.V, thing every week!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!! and I was right at the front so once the girl next to me finshed talking I told them to give the Mic to me and I was like "I LOVE NICK OMG!!" and I think that's gonna be in this weeks MILLENNIUM T.V !!!!!!!!!!!! lol!!! ahhh...

Everything was happening so fast and it was all so surreal... but newayz... after that we got our way out of the crowd and all of a sudden we see CHRIS CONNELY!!!!!!!!!! from MTV! He was talking to everybody and signing autographs he was sooooo Nice!!!!! and we standing rite where he was walking so SYL and I got his autograph and he signed for 2 of her friends too!!! Newayz as he was trying to go on the other side to talk to the fans I took a Picture of him!!!! hehehe!!!! Oh and he also said outloud that A.J was not engaged and so all the girls screamed like hell lol! Omg! So after that we tried as much as we could to try to see A.J or any of the other BSB's so we were running around the building and we begged so those security ppl to bring A.J out and they wouldn't cooperate grrr!!!! He was probably rehearsing cuz we heard some music coming and So neways we tried everything and it wasn't working so then finally it was time to go in and went to stand in line! Gawd it was long lol... and during that time we talked to a bunch of ppl who had met BSB in different cities!!!! And this one lady inparticular she was in her 40's and she was telling us how she saw A.J at the Bar in Dalla s and she went to that Florida Fan Conference too!!! Ahh! and Some other lady saw Brian just b4 he went on the bus!!!! omg so we were talking to all these ppl and btw..we took a pic with the Woman who saw A.J at the Bar lol.. she was like wow I'm a celebrity now! Hehhe.. she was really nice!!! Neways so it was FINALLY time to go in!!!!!

NOW ON WITH THE REVIEW OF THE CONCERT!!!! So we gave our tix and ran inside! We trying to get to our seats as fast as we could! we had Loge neways so we got there and WOW! HELLO! lol...So newayz after getting us all hyper and deaf!! lol... He thanked us for coming and how he has a great show in store for us!!!! Anyhow! I totally forgot which songs came first but I'll try my best with it.. Kay so he opened with a song from KORN OMGAWD this was soooooo WILD!!!!!! I mean as I watched him I knew that this guy was a PRO! He could do a wide rage of songs esp. Rock songs and make it out soooo GOOOOOD!!!!!!! It think after this came a song from GARBAGE, but I'm not sure... and after that I think he did BACK AT ONE! it was with this girl named Crystal! He did this soooo well! I loved "HIS" version better than the original one! lol... well that Crystal person did a really good job!! DEF can sing! hehe! ( This is the part that Brian sang in Orlando)

Then after this he did this song with a really nice Spanish touch to it ! I forgot the name though.. but it was really nice it had a nice guitar in the background... very nice! (Speaking of Guitar) he did a play a little of it! And did a hell of a good job! hehee! Ok so then at some point when he was talking to us, he was like okay repeat after me (and he had this english accent thing going on! hehe) and he was like say "BE COOL" "BE REAL" and "O Behayyve" LMAO!!!!!! Yeaaa baby! lol lol! I was totally LMAO!!!!! I felt like I was at school at A.J i mean JOHNNY was the Teacher! lol.. Ooo yum! lol..Everyone was screaming!!!hehehe Anyhow - he did a song with Mindy it was really nice! Loved the Saxaphone thing! :) After that I can't remember but "Johnny" asked us if we wanted to hear a BACKSTREET BOYS SONG!!! and everyone was screaming YEAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he was like does it matter which one? And everyone was screaming NOOOOO!!!! LMAO! That was soo cool! and so he was like ok let's see if you can remember this one! and at first I'm like what song is this???? and I realzied it was Hey Mr.Dj!!!!!!! All of us were dancing to it! It was sooo awesome!!! I loved it!!! And A.J was totally HUMPING LMAO!!! Esp. that part that he yells "WORK UR BODY! WORK UR BODY" ROTF LMAO!!!!!!!!! ahhhh!!!! And I remember at one point he took his shirt off!!! O BABY!!!!! lol!!!(But I forgot during which song)

Kay then I'm guessing after that, he did "Lay Down Beside me" Lmao totally rememberd the Orlando Concert 'cept without the little "Floor humping Incident" LMAO!!! omg... so then after this he did "IF YOU KNEW WHAT I KNEW" ahhhh I always wanted to hear him sing this live!!! Ahhh! He sounded AMAZING!!!!!!!! Omg! and after this he did this Medley thing with "PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC WHITE BOY" and "DON'T WANT YOU BACK"!!!!!!!!! Omg when he did this, it was like "LADDERS" popped into my head!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! But ofcourse no ladders for this show lol... but GAWD! I was sooo Happy to hear him sing this!!!!!! ahhh!!!! I LOVE THAT SONG SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!ahh.. anyhow - I think it was after this that he grabbed this bone thing LMAO go figure and he did "BAD TO THE BONE" and he was shaking and humping lmao!!!!!!!Ahh A.J!!! Wild thang! lol... this was the part that he introduced the Band! Tommy was there, Dennis was there practicaly everyone 'cept that Louie Vigelenti(sp?) I didn't see him, but it was basically the entire Backstreet band WHOOOO!!! And so after that "JOHNNY" left and after a few min. A.J came back!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Ofcourse more screams LMAO!!!!!!!!! He had his cowboy hat on and jeans with a yellow shirt!! Along with everyone else they all came back as themselves!!! Whooooohooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everyone started taking pix and screaming 4 him!!!!!! It was soooo AWESOME OMG! WOW!!!!!! People were like throwing teddybears n stuff at A.J and Howie!! lol and some girl threw a Rose and it hit Howie in face lol.. and I think it was the same Rose that A.J Kissed and threw it back to the audience!!!!!!!! And they waved to everyone and they left!!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!! It was around 10:30 when it ended!! It was just an incredible show!!! A.J can really pull it off! (But as much as I did love it I would rather see him with BSB) but he was so amazing that for a min there I forgot it was A.J lol! also one thing that was totally cool besides the concert lol.. was that SYL AND I met this girl who goes by "ANONYMOUS" that we talked with on the board! She was in the same Row as us!!!! It was soo cool! BTW! Hi! Anonymous! lol!

Anyhow - so we got our things and we got out of the theater but we looked down one more time to find AMANDA and we saw her and we screamed AMANDA!!!!! like 5 times but she was being mobbed again lol.. so she couldn't look up! But she was just awesome! anyhow so she left and we wanted to try and see if we could see A.J or Howie outside as they were leaving!! So we went outside again and back to that place that we were b4 the concert and everyone was waiting!! Stupid Security was being retarted so we couldn't do much but then all of a sudden we looked up and we saw HOWIE in the dressing room!!!! Ahh one was a BLACK Van and the Other was a WHITE Van!!!! and so everyone including myself ran towards those cars and SYL's friend got their really early and so went the they opened the Car it was A.J!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the Black Van!!!! And she took a pic of him!!!!! But it was soo fast so she's not sure if she got it but OMGAWWWWWD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was fortunate enough to have gotten one of the best seats in the world for the Johnny No Name show at the Wiltern...I was sitting in the Pit, Row AAA, seat 110, which was 3 seats from center stage!!! AJ and guests were literally within inches of me...it was absolutely amazing to see these phenomenal performers up close!!!! Here's a rundown of all the happenings that evening, as I remember them...

Sightings: From our side of the stage a pretty girl wearing a zebra striped shirt with black capri pants comes out into the crowd...and from first glance I knew it was Amanda Latona. She immediately gets mobbed by all the fans...however instead of running away she stayed with them for 15 minutes, taking pictures and signing autographs...she was really cool! And then Dave from EYC came walking down the middle of the theater and immediately went backstage...he waved at a few people but he didn't stop.

...and then the lights dimmed: all of a sudden there is a deafening roar of shrills and shreaks coming from the audience...and the voice comes through the speakers....PLEASE WELCOME TO THE STAGE....JO-JO ON THE RADIO FROM KIIS FM!! JoJo comes out and does his little thing...talking about toes (JoJo has a thing for toes) and what-not...and then he says that he has a little surprise for us all....he introduces the one responsible for all of this commotion...AJ MCLEAN!!! And to our delight...AJ comes bounding (literally, he's almost skipping) across the stage in the same outfit he wore to the press conference....blue jeans, white "wife-beater" (those shirts that AJ always wears, they're either white or black with no sleeves, we call them "wife-beaters", there's no negative context involved), and white over-shirt! AJ was talking about the Save the Music Foundation and that all proceeds of this tour were going to VH1 and stuff...and he explained that Johnny No Name was waiting impatiently backstage to get this party started...he gave Jo-Jo a jacket from the foundation that both AJ and Johnny signed...which is to be auctioned off or given away on the radio. I'm surprised that I heard all of this stuff because I was in shock that AJ was less than 3 feet away from me!!!! OMG, I thought I was gonna die...and this was only the BEGINNING!!!

Opening acts: Mindi Abair was the first act to open. She sang her own material, she has a great voice and kept good eye contact with the crowd. Then AJ comes out again and this time he's got Trey and Dave from EYC with him. And they continue to introduce the other opening act, Nobody's Angel...they've got some good dance moves and a few catchy tunes.

It's SHOOOOOOOW TIME!!!: The band members take their places...Dennis Gallo and Tommy Smith are there to play the guitar and keys...and Mindi is playing sax and singing background...there was a drummer, a bassist, a lead guitarist, and another background singer and they were all dressed up in their "pimp gear"...it was too funny. Trey and Dave make their way back to the stage to introduce the one and only Johnny No Name...again, the crowd goes wild as this guy comes from the right of the stage, in a tan/olive green type long jacket with matching pants, hat on to match, with a "wife-beater"....HANDCUFFED...with a police (not really, it's his bodyguard) man behind him...the flash bulbs start going off left and right!!!! Then Johnny starts walking around the stage with a GREAT presence of attitude about him...it was INCREDIBLE how AJ jumped into this character! Then the bands starts ROCKING out...it's bang-your-head type of music...it was GREAT!! He sang Down and then Killing in the Name Of.

Costume Change #1: right after the Killing in the Name Of he left the stage and then he disappeared to get into his 2nd outfit for the night. They started playing some more heavy music and he came out wearing a white suit with small black pin-stripes, with black hat (of course), sunglasses and a "wife-beater" (that boy and his "wife-beaters"!!). He slowed the music down and began talking to us. So Johnny started speaking, in this really cute "british" way...and was saying thank you to AJ for bringing him here, his first trip to Los Angeles...and then he said "wait, I need to ask you...what's my name?"...some of us shouted "Johnny!!" but a few people called him "AJ!" and he said "No, AJ is a Backstreet Boy, that's right, right? A Backstreet Boy?? What's MY name?" And then everyone shouted "JOHNNY!!" and then he started talking again...I don't remember 1/2 of what he said because again, he was only 3 feet away...sometimes only inches away... OH YEAH, he said that he had a few surprises for us....we knew it had something to do with other Backstreet Boy(s) so we were excited!!!! He then started talking about BSB having their own record label, and that there is a girl artist that they recently signed onto that label...this girl named Crystal... They ended up singing Brian McKnight's Back at One...Crystal has a good voice...she did really well. Then she left the stage and he continued on with another song...If You Could Only See.

Then Johnny asked the crowd if we minded if he sang a Backstreet Boys song...actually one that his friend AJ wrote...of course the crowd ate it up and he started singing If You Knew What I Knew. Then Johnny started to talk about how he plays "no musical intrument whatsover...but that he does play a little guitar...with only 2 strings so that he won't mess up too badly"...so he picked up the guitar and started playing the guitar riff for Bad To The Bone...he said this was in honor of his good pal AJ who's nickname just happens to be BONE. He changed the words to "He's bad to the bone" instead of "I'm bad to the bone"...it was too cute!!! The next song was Open Up Your Eyes...nice slow song that allowed him to move freely about the stage. Then he started with Hey Mr. DJ but in a rock-ier type pace...not the normal pace...it was great. Then he asked for a chair. He sat on it and started speaking about the next song...but then he just said "no, band just play it" and it was Lay Down Beside Me!!!! Next Mindi joined him for a rendition of Play That Funky Music with Don't Want You Back thrown into the middle of it. Very Awesome!!! Then they all left the stage.

Costume Change #2/Resurface of AJ McLean: People clapped for an encore. Finally, the band emerged wearing their casual clothes...which was a tale-tell sign that he was coming out as AJ... and OH BOY WAS I RIGHT!!! AJ shows up in blue jeans and NO SHIRT! ::drool buckets were passed around the audience:: JUST KIDDING!! Then he says..."Alright, you guys got to enjoy Johnny...but now you've gotta deal with AJ!!" and then he says "so I've got 1 more surprise for you" and he turns around, shows us his posterior...and says "no, my pants are staying ON!!, but seriously, I've got a surprise for you. Where's my little buddy??" looking at the right side of the stage...which was right by us...and he kept calling for his "little buddy" it seemed like an eternity for his "little buddy" to emerge from that side of the stage.....OUT COMES HOWIE D!!!!! The screams were INSANE!!! He was wearing these leather-type pants with a grey sweater...wow...he was lookin nice!! He waved and winked, in true Howie fashion and then AJ asked if he would help him out with the last song...the band started playing Brick House...and AJ and Howie started singing....AJ was on the left side of the stage mostly but Howie was RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!!!! After that was over AJ (left center) looked at Howie (right center, right in front of us again) and said "Howie, you should remember this from the European Tour"...and then he told the band, "1 time" they played one beat and Howie and AJ proceeded with 1 pelvic thrust...then AJ called "5 times" and they did 5...hee hee....and then AJ called "10 times!" the crowd went NUTS!!

Howie put his hand on his back acting like he's too old to do that kind of thing but then the band played it and they started getting freaky!!!! And Howie turned right towards us and continued with his 10!!!!!! AJ had a list in his pocked of who to thank and stuff....and Howie was about 2 feet away and I picked up my star jar (a glass jar that was filled with hand-folded Chinese Good Luck Stars) and held it out for him....at first he wasn't looking and then I called "Howie!" and he looked RIGHT AT ME, CAME OVER TO ME, AND TOOK THE STAR JAR OUT OF MY HANDS!!!!!!!! He looked at it, read the little note that I put on there (basically just saying what they were and that I wished him all the luck and happiness in the world) and he said THANK YOU AND HE WINKED!!!!!!!!!! He walked away with the star jar in his hands...kept looking at it, went further down the stage to touch a few other girls hands and then walked towards the back of the stage...still looking at the star jar!!!!!!!! He went to the back next to Mindi and he showed her the jar, and then they were talking and he smiled and put his arm around her...still HOLDING THE JAR!!!!! Then AJ thanked Howie for coming to the show....AND HE WAVED TO THE CROWD WITH MY STAR JAR IN HIS HAND!!!!!!! I got a picture but I'm not sure if I cut off his hand or not!!!!! He finally put the jar down for the final curtain call...I was soooooo excited!!!!!!! I got to touch Howie...and I gave him my jar...and he read it!!!!!!!!! YAY ME!!!!!!! I tried to give AJ his jar, but after the curtain call AJ was handcuffed by his body guard again and escorted off stage...so I ended up pushing my jar onto the stage....and the roadie came and picked them up.

After the concert: We went outside and found out where they were leaving. We waited but AJ's SUV left from underneath the building and we didn't see them. However, we met Mindi, Dennis and Tommy. They came out and signed autographs and were really, really nice and chatty! It was good fun....

So all-in-all it was a wonderful, exhilirating experience!! I am so excited (still) that I had a chance to get that close to 2/5 of the Backstreet Boys....this will hopefully be a day I never forget =D

The concert was so great, I have to be probibly the biggest bsb fan ever! I had great seats I was having the best night of my life before the concert even started. I met Amanda, and she was so sweet, she was taking pictures and signing autographs, she was so sweet. I saw claudia too, but I really didn't get to talk to her. Aj kept coming out during the pre-shows, he looked so hot. He changed 3 times and sang songs like "Back at one" and "Bad to the bone", where Johnny dedicated the song to AJ, holding up a plastic bone. At the end of the show aj came out as himself and with his shirt off and howie joined him in singing "Brick house." The concert was so good, I did not appriciate the staff at the wiltern though, they were rude and wouldn't let me enjoy the best day of my life, but I did. Johnny had a very cute acsent, and said a saying he wants everyone to know. "Be cool, be real and behave."

Johnny No Name Adventure!

On Friday afternoon Kimberly and I planned to go to our local radio station to give some things to the DJ, JoJo Wright (jojowright.com) so that he could give them to AJ at the concert. JoJo is a friend of ours and he was the MC at the concert last night.

But when we got home (I went over to her house) we got a call from JoJo, he said "don't get too excited but there might be a way for you guys to meet AJ" we couldn't believe it, but we stayed completely calm. He told us to sit tight and he'd call back. About 15 minutes later the phone rings and its JoJo. We pick up and say hi and he tells us the plans.

We would go to the Hard Rock Café at the Beverly Center (in Beverly Hills) and ask for Eric (can't give last name) or Denise McLean. He also said that we should be there by 10:30.

We couldn't believe what was happening! We knew this was going to be a very long weekend! So Friday night we called JoJo to thank him again. After thanking him and giving shout outs we asked him if he was going to be working the weekend, he said yes so we planned a surprise.

On Saturday morning we made a cake for JoJo. While it cooled we went to the mall and got 3 baseball hats embroidered with Johnny No Name. One for me, one for Kimberly and one for AJ. After the mall Kim's mom dropped us off at the KIIS Studios. We sat around the lobby with the security guy (a buddy of ours) until JoJo came down at 10 after 6.

When he came down he first talked to some Nsync fans and then came to us (he talked to them first so he'd have more time for us). We talked for a good 20 minutes when he was about to go (he had a dinner date) when Kim's mom comes running with the cake that we made him. She decorated it with cream and strawberry's (she is a professional). JoJo loved the cake.

We then headed to dinner and home. Sunday was the longest day of our lives. We did a little bit of homework and some other stuff so that it could turn to Monday and we could go meet AJ.

Finally Monday arrived and at 9:30 we headed towards the Café. We got there at about 10 o'clock. We walked to the front where they had a table set up. They asked us our names. We told them our names and who we were with. He couldn't find our names on the list so we told him (he wouldn't let us talk at first) that we were told to ask for Eric or Denise. So the man asked another man to get Eric. So Eric came out a minute later and made sure that it was us and took us in.

He took us to AJ's mom (who with Eric had arranged it all) where she introduced herself to us. She is a very sweet lady. She saw our hats and we told her that we had one for AJ too, and she was like "He's going to love that." Eric then told us to have a seat. So we sat in the back row. Denise saw and came to us and was like "No, sit in the front" we were like "ok, sure" so we moved up. When we first saw her she also told us that first it was the press conference and then we there would be a meet and greet.

We sat there for a while until JoJo and Tony (his producer from KIIS) got there. They put there stuff next to where we were seated (there were 4 seats). We talked to JoJo about stuff and watched him as he was told what he had to do.

At about 11 Eric told him to follow him so he could go meet AJ before they took him out of his "holding pen" (that's what he said). As JoJo was walking away he looked back at us making fun that he was gonna go meet him and we weren't (at that moment) so I did my familiar to him "kiss my ass" (fingers on lips to ass…) movement to him so he mouthed "I'm going to tell him that" to me and so I said "go ahead". A short while later JoJo came back and told us that AJ looked hot!

Soon after JoJo went on stage to start the conference. He mentioned us twice saying that we were the contest winners from KIIS. That made the press take interest in us for some reason.

After a man from VH1 (Bob) talked and they introduced some kids from the foundation they were ready for AJ… ahem Johnny to come out.

AJ came out with his band, which included, Guy, Louie, Tommy, Dennis and Mindi from BSB's band along with others (inc. one guy that looked really really familiar!) Kimberly and I had our hats one so that they could all see what they said.

At one point in the conference I looked at the band and stopped when I saw Tommy looking at us and when he saw that I saw him he pointed at my hat (our hats).

I hate to say that most of the questions that were asked in the conference I knew the answers too. But one that I found funny was when they asked him something about the difference of Johnny and AJ and he said that Johnny was the bad boy and AJ, him was the good guy and his mom (who was sitting next to us) yelled out "Ya right!" it was hilarious.

During the whole time there were lots of girls outside trying to look at AJ through the windows (which had shades down). We felt very special that we were the only fans inside.

After the conference ended they had the meet and greet. So Denise grabbed our hands and took us on stage. As we were reaching the stage (which was right there) Tommy was getting off and he was like "I love those hats, the whole band wants one!" we said "Ok, give us some money and we'll make them" so he said "All right, we'll arrange something".

We then made our way to AJ. He introduced himself to us and we did the same. And oh my God he smelled GOOD!! Ohh!! And he has a really good handshake! He then figured out that he could stand in between us so that he could put his arms around both of us. Kimberly gave the camera to his Mom but she couldn't figure out the she had to open it. So Kim was like "you have to open it" and so then AJ said "You have to open the camera, mom" and he repeated that again. So she took a picture and said "Did it take it?" and AJ was like " I don't know, did it?" so she's like "it went shhh, well lets take another one" so we agreed and she took it and then said, "it went shh again" so we were like ok.

When we first got on the stage I gave AJ the hat and he was like "cool! Thanks" and said he'd wear it at the concert. We then stepped down. As AJ did an interview we asked JoJo about the tickets that he told us that he thought we had. So he called KIIS and he told us that we had 2 tickets on hold at the will call window at the theater. JoJo then had to leave because he had meetings he had to go to.

We then were seated to eat lunch (on them). Eric came to see how we were doing and we said good, but we didn't get autographs, he told us that it wasn't a meet and greet for autographs. So he left and I guess asked Denise or AJ and came back and was like "give me your hats" we gave them to him and our package that we had made. We turned around to see him give them to Denise (AJ was still in the interview on the stage). We continued to watch as Denise gave the hats to AJ and he signed them.

Eric then brought them back to us and said he'd see us at the concert. We ate our lunch and got ready to walk the 7 miles to the theater. After lunch we got in line to get the merchandise that we were given (we were able to pick it ourselves), while in line the man who was with VH1, Bob, came up to us to say bye. After talking for a while and him finding out that we were going to walk, he gave us $20 to take a taxi to the Wiltern Theater.

We got to the Wiltern and hanged out for a while. We went to the supermarket and got some gum. As we came out I noticed that KIIS Van there. We walked up to it and saw that it was our friend Dan (the Man). We talked to him for a minute and then headed to the back entrance of the Wiltern.

We met some people and showed off our autographed hats and such. At about 5:00 we went to get our tickets. We still had no idea what seats they had given us. The tickets we had bought were Mezzanine Row A, which were ok. (Our friends sat there). They told us that our tickets still weren't ready. As we moved away Dan came up to us.

He came and we walked back to the back of the building with him. We hanged out for a while waiting to go back to get our tickets and for JoJo. While we were waiting Howie arrived. If you've ready the other peoples notes on how people attacked the car, well they are right! They wouldn't leave him alone! I stood back with Dan laughing at them. I have one thing to say about Howie at that point though…. He is a good driver!

After a while we heard that JoJo was coming from around the corner (walking) so with Dan we began to walk to JoJo. Kim and I had a sign that said "WE (HEART) JoJo" so we had it open as we saw him walk around the corner. He wanted to talk to us about the tickets and such but he couldn't, Eric was making him move to get him inside the building. So we decided to go search for our tickets.

We had hooked up with a couple of girls and one of their boy friends. They already had place in line. So they went and we cut behind them. That is when we started to freak. As the tickets were passed to us, we saw that they were PIT AAA 101 and 103!! FIRST ROW!!! We couldn't believe it! It was unbelievable.

**It's almost over**

So we ran around to the back to see if we could find someone that was we knew so that we could tell him or her. We saw that Dan was down by the backstage door. So we yelled for him and he came up, as he was walking up I yelled at him what seats we had; he couldn't even believe it.

So we went into the concert and we were up by the stage leaning on it. We saw AJ's girlfriend Amanda, we saw Trey from EYC and then Damon too. When Eric walked by we yelled for him and thanked him for the great seats!

Trey, Damon and Eric came on stage to introduce Johnny No Name. Eric came over to us and gave us high five's. Remember that we still have our hats on.

During the first song AJ came over to me, looked at me and grabbed my hand. I was so happy! All the people around me were trying to grab his hand but he went through all of them to grab mine. Also later in the show he took a sip of water … ok, it was Johnny not AJ! Sorry! …and poured the rest over us!

At the beginning of the last song (before AJ came out) I was waving my hat at Tommy. He reached out as to ask if he could wear it so I pushed it farther out. So he hopped down and Kimberly took hers off and he grabbed hers. He put it on the right way, we then signaled for him to turn it around since it said Johnny on the back. So he looked at the hat and turned it around.

AJ then came out and started singing with Howie and EYC, I was waving my hat (bright yellow) so that he would see it. Well, it worked! He saw it, he started to turn to go the other way but then came back and grabbed the hat and put it on sideways (Yes, it was my hat!)… As you know AJ or… Johnny gets his handcuffs put back on as he leaves the stage. Well, smarty AJ or Johnny forgot that he was wearing my hat. So he never gave it back! I almost cried! He had just signed it and then took it! Oh, Tommy gave Kimberly hers back.

So after the concert we walked back to the back entrance, after a while I hear someone say "Eric!" so I look for him. Kimberly saw him first and got his attention, Eric made his way around to where we were. I told him how AJ had taken my hat and didn't give it back. So he told me not to worry, that he'd get it back and give it to JoJo to give to me.

So let's hope that happens! So those were the highlights of my day. Oh, we also met Chris Connely from MTV. He was in the alley with other people from MTV. I was the first to recognize him. So stay tuned to MTV for news with AJ. Because that is why he was there.

If you have any question feel free to email me.

I attended the Johnny Noname Concert on Monday, March 27th... at the Wiltern Theathre...Heres my Experience...

Ok, sit back, and relax, this is gonna be a looong one.... Yesterday was undoubtedly one of the best days of my life...I had never been so anxious and excited since the BSB concert... We got to the Wiltern Theatre around 5:45. If only we had gotten there 30 seconds earlier... Howie had come with his car 30 seconds before we got to the same exact spot.....talk bout a close encounter..I wanted to SCREAAAAM...lol....He had basically come in his car through a mob of bout 200 fans...I did see the back of his car though..hey even that is surreal....Little did we know...

Neways we were waiting in that same area just in case the other Boys or AJ came(although it was clearly obvious AJ was inside doing soundcheck)...lol...All of a sudden, Chris Connely from MTV comes out and starts signing a bunch of autographs...I knew this was my only chance to tell him how I felt about MTV. I said Hey Chris please come here I have a message for u on behalf of the BSB fans..He comes over to me..and lemme tell ya guys, I told him all bout our frustrations with MTV..I told him how I was so angry that MTV only aired the emails of the teenybopper so-called fans who sent emails of dissaproval about the engagements... MTV did NOT read the emails of the true fans who were extreeeeeemely happy for them...He was like well, dont take it too hard..Im like what do u mean??????? All of a sudden, a bunch of girls started yelling and screaming bout how much they hated Carson and his low comments and how they thought TRL was rigged...They said they were sick and tired of Nsync(I jumped in at this time too...hehe)...and hes like, well give it some time, after all its Nsyncs time now..and he just smiled and winked..I said oh so that makes it ok?????He was like well, no no dont worry bout it..Everything will be fine..Neways I knew that was my one and only chance to tell him how most of us felt and I am sooooo glad I got the chance to....He also gave me an autograph..lol...but i must admit he himself is a really nice guy...

Neways while we were in line, we met sooooooooooooooo many nice BSB fans..Its incredible how awesome we all are..hehe...Were so nice and friendly to each other..I mean its incredible..We met this woman in her 40's and all of a sudden she started talking to us bout all her BSB stories and how much she loves them. She also attended the Orlando Press Conference with a bunch of her friends she met online because of BSB and neways if u guys have seen the press conference or heard it, her group is the one that tells them how they brought all these peeps from across the country together..Kev was like awwww.. Concert Review: Johnny No Name - March 27 - Los Angeles, Wiltern Theatre

I was at the show last night...I went to see Johnny, because (no offense) I am not a BSB fan, but if I didn't go see him, the LiveDaily board would kill their moderator, and I figured seeing him do covers of songs that I liked, I might enjoy it more.

I had a blast!!!! I was actually impressed with the band more than I thought I would be!! I can't remember all the songs he did, but he did do RATM's "Killing in the Name Of", "Play that funky Music White Boy" and for the encore, AJ (not Johnny!!) came out and sang Earth, Wind and Fire's "Brick House" with Howie D. He changed clothes 3 times, starting with a black suit and jacket, then a white suit, and the last time, coming out in a pair of jeans and no shirt (HELLO!!!-who's got a cold bucket of water for me??)!!!

I only have one problem with the whole night. The fans that were waiting at the Backstage entrance really need to calm down. As Howie pulled up in an SUV, the fans started shaking it back and forth and almost tipped it over. One fan got up on the hood of the car, and had to be taken off by security before Howie could go any further, and poor Howie was cowering in the car like a scared Rabbit. I ask the fans to be more considerate of the guys. Yes, everyone wants to meet them, but there is no reason to try to tip an SUV!!! Aside from the damage to the car AND the other fans that are out there, think of what would happen to HOWIE if that car tipped over--would YOU want to be the reason that he's in the hospital??

The concert was absolutely fantastic!!! AJ had three opening acts, PYT (four teen girls harmonizing and dancing -- doing better at the latter than the former on some of the songs but showing promise -- coming out with a single called "Sweet, Sweet Kisses"), Mindi Abair (BSB band's resident sax/keyboards/percussionist) doing her own stuff (LOVED her song "Free" where she talks about wanting to be free to be herself, and complaining about the latest fashions which only keep her broke and obsessed -- more of a rocker than I expected-- must get the CD!), and EYC. If you saw the recent BSB tour, EYC did the exact same act, but say they will be changing it now for the year 2000. They really know how to get the crowd going!

AJ did indeed originally appear on stage as Johnny Suede in a long brown duster with matching pants and hat, sitting on a chair, handcuffed-hands behind his back, with guy in police uniform behind him. Said guy uncuffed him and the show started with a heavy metal song. He then ran offstage and changed into the white suit with pinstripe. The second song was followed up by another rocker which neither my friend nor I can remember. After that, a spotlight went on for a second on the right side of the stage -- long enough for a few people to recognize Brian and start screaming. Brian sang along the majority of two songs ("Johnny" kinda sang backup), both Brian McKnight's, "Back At One" and "6,8,12".

Brian also came over and hugged Johnny Suede/AJ and congratulated him on his birthday (since both Johnny and AJ have the same birthday). Brian was beaming the whole night and looked great in a grey suit with black shirt and black tie. "Johhny" told the story of AJ's nickname "Bone" and dedicated the song "Bad to the Bone" (formerly by George Thoroughgood) to AJ. "Johnny" also sang a longer version of "Lay Down Beside Me" with an extra verse, and a song that AJ wrote (but as "Johnny" said, "I'm sure I can sing it better than AJ can") called "If You Knew What I Knew". I'm sure I am forgetting some of the other songs in here too. Also, Denise, AJ's mom, brought out a cake onstage, along with a girl dressed up as Marilyn Monroe to sing "Johnny" "Happy Birthday" as the band crowded around holding a bunch of AJ's puppets. "Johnny" did not seem thrilled with this, and made a remark about the band getting their "butts kicked later". The band included Mindi, Tommy, Dennis, Guy and Louie. There were also a couple people that Mindi brought with her, but I didn't catch their names.

"Johnny" ended the concert by asking if anybody wanted to hear a Backstreet Boys song. He then launched into an incredible rock version of "Hey Mr. DJ" that had the whole crowd dancing and singing along. The lights stayed off after he left the stage, so nobody moved. AJ came back out with EYC and announced that "Johnny" had to leave, and he was going to have to do this song "AJ-style" so he took off his jacket and shirt (he had changed into a red suit, white shirt). He then launched into an old solo of his, "Brick House" -- with the full "Band, hit me one time" (accompanied by pelvic thrust), band hit me two times (2), band hit me five times, band hit me ten times ...that was only nine times! "(the tenth pelvic thrust practically started at the floor). Needless to say the crowd was loving it, AJ was loving it, and EYC was having the time of their lives singing and dancing along (and pelvic thrusting along) with AJ.

The show was followed by a birthday party for special guests of AJ's there at the Hard Rock Live. There was a balcony outside where they were holding AJ's party, and a crowd of girls were hanging out there hoping for a glimpse of AJ. I did see AJ come out once and blow the crowd a kiss. Apparently Nick was also there (they screamed for him anyway). They also were singing happy birthday to AJ, although I don't know if he was in the area to hear it.

I totally loved the show, and it was great to see AJ in a different light!

A.J. deserves credit for his solo performance this past Sunday in Orlando. He is perhaps well on his way to a promising solo career. However, I do feel that Johnny Suede was not the alter ego of A.J. that I had expected. With the same band lineup as BSB and previously recorded BSB songs performed that transition from A.J. to Johnny Suede was not so apparent. As a matter of fact Johnny Suede depended on A.J. to nurse him through the 45 minute set. This was no more apparent when "Johnny's" close friend Brian Littrell showed up on stage.

This was a gallant effort for a worthy cause on the part of A.J. McLean but by the end of his Johnny Suede performance Johnny had all but disappeared from sight.

Hey, there...Just read the other reviews which I definitely agreed with...However I drove 6 hours to be there and it was worth every minute!!! AJ, EYC, PYT and Mindi Abair and the bands just ROCKED the house..The special appearance by Brian only added icing to the cake!!! The other song he sang with AJ was Brian McKnights song 6/8/12..which was also funny because Brian was trying to count 12 fingers on 2 hands...LOL AJ put on an awesome show and he did it AJ STYLE....In addition to the complaints of pushing, shoving (yes, I was in those same front rows ) and the insults to some of the other guests, I didnt like the fact that fans were throwing things on the stage to AJ..He got hit several times and something flew by his face on one occasion..I thought that was extremely rude..I realize they wanted to give AJ bday gifts but that was not the way to do it...Things were also thrown when Brian came out...I hope the next time, the fans take into consideration that someone could get hurt when they do that!! So dont...Anyways, to close it was an AWESOME show and worth the trip...Im glad I was there for what could possibly be a once in a lifetime show...Thanks Johnny for a NIGHT TO REMEMBER!!!!! We love ya....

I wrote this review for my school newspaper,

The Clay Hill Elementary School Times
A Music Review
A.J. McLean as "Johnny Suede"
Hard Rock Café
Orlando, Florida
January 9, 2000

By Allison Shaw

Most people like to get presents for their birthday. Have you ever heard of someone who likes to give presents as well on their special day? A.J. McLean, of the Backstreet Boys, does! This year, on his 22nd birthday, he gave a concert for his fans as his alter ego, "Johnny Suede" to benefit the music programs in Orlando schools. Happily, I was lucky enough to attend!

Foremost, A. J. demonstrated why he is such a phenomenal performer! His deep singing voice sounded amazing as he performed many different types of music. His dance moves were smooth as silk.

Beginning his set, A.J. sang a hard rock song and sounded

as magnificent as James Hetfield of Metallica or Chris Cornell of Soundgarden. He sang versions of the Backstreet Boys’ "Hey Mr. D.J." and "Lay Down Beside Me," which is my favorite song of all time. I also loved A.J.’s rocking version of "Bad to the Bone," which he sang because his nickname is "Bone." The crowd went wild when Brian Littrell of the BSB performed a duet of "Back to One," by Brian McKnight with A.J.   Brian’s high harmonies blended perfectly with A.J.’s smoky baritone.

For the final song, opening act EYC, and a backup band that included Mindy Abair, Tommy Smith, Louie Vigilante, and Guy Walker of the BSB band, joined A.J. in a sizzling performance of "Brick House." It was the most enjoyable experience of my life!

In conclusion, I would like to thank A.J. for his "birthday present!" As a Florida elementary school student, I appreciate the fact that A.J. donated the money from his concert to schools. A.J. McLean, a.k.a. "Johnny Suede," is an amazing human being, as well as an awesome performer!

JOHNNY SUEDE CONCERT REVIEW

Go to my webpage to check out all the pictures from the concert!

Here's Johnny!

I’m just going to begin by saying I can’t believe it!! Here we go…Well, I was very happy that A.J. was sweet and kind enough to decide to spend his 22nd Birthday with his fans in his hometown of Orlando! I was so excited when I found out about it and knew I wanted to be in Orlando with my baby and be there for his 22nd Birthday. It worked out great too, I would miss one day of school and that’s it. Well, the Wed. before the weekend of the concert I got sick with the stomach flu and was sick and throwing up for 3 days straight. Just perfect considering I had to take off of school for another 2 days! Thank God I got well right before Saturday when I was making my way to Orlando! We left North Carolina at about 6:15am and were on our way! After a 9-hour drive we arrived in Orlando! We checked into the hotel that is on the main strip of Orlando. We got ready quickly and were on our way to hit the Florida Mall, so I could get a perfect outfit for A.J.’s Johnny Suede Concert. It took 2 hours for me to finally find something and by that time it was about 7:30pm and I then needed to go find A.J. a gift because it was his birthday! We hit FAO Shrartz and I was gonna get him some neat candy or something cool. Well, no luck there, so we got in the car again and traveled to Down Town Disney and my Mom and I hadn’t eaten all day and it was now 8:45pm, so we hit the Rain Forest Café and got a time, so we could come back later and eat. I went searching for A.J. a gift and a gift for one of my friends. I found the perfect gift for A.J. to throw to him and then we went to eat at 10:15pm and after that we were dead tired and knew we were going to have a bust day ahead of us, so we drove to the hotel to get some sleep. My Mom and I got up about 9:00am and were going to get ready for the concert that night. We got ready and left for Universal Studios City Walk. We were going to walk around City Walk for about 2 hours and then get in line around 2:00pm to hopefully get the best seats for the concert that night at 7:00pm. We got there at 12:00pm and a huge line had already formed out side Hard Rock live for A.J.!

I couldn’t believe it, so we ran over to get in line…yeah that’s right…7 hours in line!…We were on the side of Hard Rock Live and we sat down at the and of the line. It was so hot! 80 degrees in Florida! Luckily, we were under the shade. A whole day of sitting and waiting was upon us! The first 2 hours went by pretty fast and not that many more people showed up, it was only the die hard A.J. fans out there. I could hear A.J. rehearsing inside. He was so cute sounding! At one point he yelled “Everyone get naked!” We all went crazy and laughing! My Mom and I hadn’t eaten or had anything to drink all day, but surprisingly I wasn’t hungry or thirsty. Wait….Wait...Wait….Finally at about 3:00pm we moved up a little bit to smush in to make more room. Then, we sat in the spot until 5:00pm and then we all had to stand up. They were going to open the doors at 6:00pm they said. so we stood up form 5:00pm to 6:00pm and I was going crazy and ready to just get in there! Finally at 6:15pm they began to let people in! Everyone was outside Hard Rock lined up all through the entire City Walk almost and it was crazy!! The security guards came to us and said you guys got the best place in the house you’ll be right on the stage. Then, we found out that all the Boys were inside! That’s’ right all The Backstreet Boys were in the house!! They said they were all siting on the floor inside in a circle just talking and chatting. I was just thinking how cute is that. As we began to make our way in we all chanted “A.J!” and “Johnny!” We were in!! Finally! My feet hurt so bad and the place was so small! I was like how the heck are they gonna fit 2,500 people on this small little floor! It was crazy! It is standing room only, so you just stand there the whole time in a huge crowd of people. Jeez…there were some red necks around us!! Screaming and yelling and pushing! I had about had it with them! It was crazy and so hot! All of these bodies smushed together! But guess who was right in front!! That’s right!! ME!!! If you were like 4 people behind me you couldn’t see a thing because there were to many people, but I was right in front! I couldn’t believe it! We had to wait about 30min and we all sand Happy Birthday to A.J., while he was behind there. It was so sweet. Then Kid Cruise came out; who is a local DJ in Orlando and told us about the event and how we raised money for VH1 Save the Music etc. Then, he said we need to Thank the Man of the night who also has a birthday today! “A.J. McLean!” He pointed to the side of the stage and A.J. came running out!

He was right in front of me! He is so gorgeous and so beautiful!! He thanked us so much for coming and he couldn’t believe the crowd.

He said he couldn’t think of a better way to spend his birthday, then with us. He was so sweet and told us about the opening acts…PYT, Mindi Abair(who is the sax player for the Backstreet band of course) and EYC. He said have fun and have a great night!! Then, he said the man of the night Johnny Suede will be out soon! He was so sweet not to make us have to wait through all the opening acts and he didn’t play the star of the show. He grabbed some roses and presents and it was so funny because about 50 stuffed animals went flying on stage at one. Ha Ha. He blew us a kiss and ran off. Then, PYT came out a new girl group from Tampa. The girls are all 13 and they sang 4 songs and they were pretty good. Then, Mindi came out and she has an awesome voice! She was fantastic and so sweet! She was great and sang 6 songs and it was so funny because she sang a song about her first crush and asked us if we had a crush and we all screamed and she was like “Hmmmm…. I wonder who?” It was so funny!

Then, here came the ugly trash looking group known as EYC! God, they got even uglier and they are so ugly up close and so bad!! Then, they did the same performance they do at every BSB concert. Finally they left! They were so ugly and all wearing red and dyed their hair red. It looked so bad and the one guy was playing with himself on stage. It was just sooo bad! NOW THE MAN OF THE NIGHT JOHNNY SUEDE! I as going crazy and screaming my head off! I couldn’t believe I was so close! The curtain rose and there was A.J. in a beautiful brown suit sitting on a chair with a cop behind him. A.J. aka Johnny was hand cuffed to the chair and the cop then uncuffed him and Johnny grabbed the mic! It was so awesome and

A.J. rocked the house! Well, Johnny sang 4 songs and it was awesomeand he sounded so wonderful!!

Then, he took off to the side of the stage to change and came out in a white pin stripped suit and looks so gorgeous!

He came out and then Johnny started singing “Back at One” and then there was a sound of someone else and I saw a dark image at the back of the stage. Then, a spot light shined on the figure and it was BRIAN!!

The crowd went crazy and we were all going wild! We couldn’t believe Brian was there!! He sounded wonderful and stood right in front of me for a lot of it and it was great! Brian and “Johnny” sang together and it was so cute!

Brian sat down on a chair and was mouthing all A.J. was saying. It was so sweet. He grabbed a stuffed animal and had it sitting with him. Then, they both sat on the chairs and sang “6, 8, 12” it was amazing! They were so cute! Then, after they finished…Brian stopped and walked over to “Johnny” and said I wanna thank you for doing this. Brian said I just wanna wish “Johnny” and my pal A.J. a very happy birthday, I love you man. I wanna wish you the best. It was so sweet and A.J. was so touched. They did a little hand gesture and it was funny because a stuffed animal hit them and they pretended to fall.

Then, Brian said I really mean it you’re the best and then he gave A.J. a hug. He pointed to A.J. and started clapping for him and then A.J. pointed to Brian and did the same. It was so sweet. Then, Brian waved good-bye and made his way off the stage. Then, “Johnny” began talking again and his accent was so cute. He had a little English accent and he sounded so cute and sweet. He said “I’m gonna sing this song my friend A.J. wrote called If You Knew What I Knew. I hope you enjoy it and I think I’ll do a better job than A.J.” It was so cute and then “Johnny” started singing my fav “If You Knew What I Knew” It was so wonderful! A.J. came over ever time and stood right in front of me and at one point he bent down in front of me and looked and sang right to me! It was so funny because 5 people around me all hit me right after that and screamed “He looked right at you!” He was so cute!

Then, I noticed Ms. McLean on the side of the stage she was all a glow and dancing and singing. It was so sweet! Then, “Johnny” started talking to the audience and A.J. was on the other side of the stage talking and Ms McLean made her way out with a huge table with a huge cake on it. A.J. turned around and had this look on his face, it was so cute. He said “Oh no.” He looked surprised, but also like he wished they hadn’t done this. He walked over to the cake and to his Mom and his Mom grabbed his arm and wished him a Happy Birthday.

A..J. said in his “Johnny” accent “I wish we had enough cake to share with all of you.” Then, someone came walking out dressed as Marilyn Monroe and A.J. looked so shocked. They made him walk over and Ms. McLean was like “Marilyn’s here to sing” She sang Happy Birthday to him, it was so funny. The whole band came out with these funny puppets singing the back up music and A.J. said “I am gonna kill the band when I get home.”

A.J. was scared something else was gonna happen to he was lifted up the tablecloth and all of that and asked if the cake was gonna blow up or something. He said, “Thank You” and they all made their way off the stage. “Johnny” then said “If ya don’t know that was A.J.’s Mum.” “Johnny “ then asked in his cute little accent “Do you all like Backstreet Boys’ songs?” Do you?” “Do you?” Then, A.J. did the whole Austin Powers thing. Then, he asked “Have you heard the song Lay Down Beside Me?” Everyone went wild!! A.J. said “You guys have only heard the short version, I’m doing the long version.” He did an amazing job and did the slower version of it!

It was so wonderful ad so fantastic!! Another thing that was so funny and cute is every time A.J. would do a little hip thrust he would look over at his Mom to see what she thought about it. It was so cute. A.J.’s got the cutes little butt! Espicially when he did the Cha Cha!

Then, A.J. took off and ran off the stage for another change and came out in a red suit looking like a cutie. He came out and then “Johnny” said “Well my friend A.J.’s nick name is Bone ya know. Well, I deiced to sing a song about Bone. Well, this song is for Bone and it is about a Bone.” It was so funny and made no sense and he was laughing. “Johnny” started singing “Bad to the Bone” The crowd went wild!! I was screaming and rocking like crazy! It was so cute when A.J. would sing “Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba Bad!” It was awesome!!! Then, “Johnny” thanked everyone and said this was his first concert and his first time being in another country and took a bow. We all cheered and went crazy and the lights went off. Then, A.J. reappeared. He said guess what? Johnny’s gone and now A.J.’s back! Now let’s look like him. It was so funny and A.J. took his shirt off and smiled.

It was so adorable. Then, EYC came out and A.J. and them and the band all started rocking and going crazy! A.J. stopped and said “Woah Woah wait a minute! We can’t end it like this!” A.J. went around and introduced all the BSB Band and his back up singers.

He kept having the bass hit him and he was gettting wild. The, he said “See if ya know this one!” A cool new version of “Hey, Mr. DJ(Keep Playing that Song)” began to play and A.J. rocked the house!! It Was awesome! A.J. grabbed a bottle of water and sprayed the audience and I got soaked! It was great!! A.J.'s water on me! AHHHHHH! Then, I had decied I was going to throw my gift up to A.J. at this point and I had tied a pic of me and him on it when I met him and a card with pics on it from when I met him and stuff.

My gift happened to land right infront of him. It was right when the show had come to a close. They had all just bowed and the cop came over to hand cuff him again. A.J. bent down and was looking down while he was being hand cuffed and looked right at my gift and was checking it out. It was aweosme! He looked up and smiled. It was aweome!!

I will never be able to have such an awesome experience at a concert again in my life and having front row!! It was amzing! A.J. was so wonderful and so sweet! He is just amazing and so talented! I just love him!! It was amazing! Then, it was 10:00pm and my Mom and I made our way out. We walked around the park and passed the back up singers and the Marilyn Monroe girl and then hit the Hard Rock Café to eat because we hadn’t eaten or had anything to drink all day! I was so wild! After we ate we went to the hotel and got up at 4:30am to drive home!!

I drove the 3 hours on Sunday from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando for the Johnny Suede concert and I was not disappointed. I was one of the lucky people in the very front as I stood in line 5 hours to get inside. At least, I was lucky until over-zealous, excited girls began pushing and shoving to get closer to the front. I was excited, too, but has anyone ever heard of a little thing called courtesy? The floor was general admission and it turned into general mayhem! People could not breathe or move and it was very frightening. I myself freaked out and screamed at the top of my lungs at the insane crowd behind me and I confess to shoving some girls back when the girl behind me was in tears and COULD NOT BREATHE. I apologize for being rude but for those of you out there who could not control yourselves, shame on you! You know who you are and I hope you're sorry for acting in a manner that could have killed people. It was not funny or amusing in the least bit. I even got shoved back from the very front to about 8 "rows" back by the middle of the concert. But at least then I could breathe because that's when the pushing and shoving subsided somewhat, and I was able to enjoy the rest of the show. AJ was exceptional.

I absolutely love the alter ego of Johnny Suede and hope he does more with it. A 4 member girl group called PYT opened the show and they were pretty good. Again, though, there had to be immature girls there who screamed insults and curse words at the girls. I cheered PYT on and clapped as loud as I could because they WERE good and those girls had no right to treat AJ's guests that way. I wish AJ or Johnny had come onstage and told the crowd to shut up. Mindi Abair was on next and she was great! I just adore Mindi and I ordered her CD online a few days ago. After hearing her sing I know I won't be disappointed by it! Everyone loves Mindi, it seems, as the crowd was very receptive and positive toward her. Guy Walker and Louie Vigilante backed her up on guitar and bass guitar. Then came EYC, who got the crowd hyped (read: got the crowd to push and shove and nearly KILLED people). I personally do not care for EYC, but I guess they do their job well. Does it bother anyone else when Dave does his "I'm too sexy for my shirt" act? (not literally, but his attitude). Everyone at the show really liked them, so I'm probably being too harsh and critical. Even though I don't like EYC, at least I wasn't rude like those girls and I did not yell out insults and curses. Now, when AJ/Johnny came onstage....wow. (He actually had come out for a few minutes before the whole show started and said a few words). He did a few songs I didn't recognize, and some that I did....like Hey Mr. DJ and Lay Down Beside Me, but my favorite part was when B-Rok came onstage and sang "Back at One" with him! Nobody was expecting that and even I forgot to fight off the crowd of pushing and shoving girls in the shock of it. (This is when I ended up a few "rows" back from the front, I think).

After that I thought maybe some of the other BSB would come out but I'm glad they didn't. It was all for Bone, you know! AJ/Johnny sang "Bad to the Bone" in honor of Bone, and it was one of the highlights. Another highlight was his mom, Denise, pushing a cart onstage with a cake. Someone was dressed as Marilyn Monroe and sang him Happy Birthday. I loved that! The band had funky puppets that joined in. I truly loved that part. When the show seemed to be over it wasn't, of course, (remember the BSB tour) and he sang an encore as himself. EYC joined him onstage. Now, just imagine AJ with no shirt and all his tattoos are revealed...including the 69....and picture him in red pants and a red hat. Sound good? That's how he sang his encore of "She's a brick....house"!!! I haven't recovered from that yet. I doubt I ever will, it was THAT good. The whole show, minus the part with the deadly pushing and shoving, was one of the best I've seen. I'm glad AJ was able to raise a lot of money for VH1's Save the Music and that I was one of the few lucky fans to help him celebrate his 22nd birthday and debut his alter ego. How many other performers would put together a show like that on their birthday when they could be strictly partying with family and close friends? He is quite a guy and the world is lucky to know him.

Congratulations on a FANTASTIC concert, Johnny Suede! You truly rock.

Hey! I just got in from AJ's show at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando. It was AMAZING! PYT, EYC, and Backstreets sax player Mindy opened for AJ. Once he came out to perform there was a 'cop' on stage & AJ was in handcuffs. So once he got unlocked (he was wearing a brown suit & white wife-beater) He sang this really hard song. Everyone was screaming so loud I couldnt really tell the words but it sounded like Someday Girl......Im not sure. About 3 songs in BRIAN came out (everyone freaked!) and him & AJ sang Brian McKnights "Back At One" It was beautiful. He changed a few times. There was a white suit, and a red one twords the end. Other songs AJ did were Lay Down Beside Me, If You Knew What I Knew, Hey Mr DJ, Bad To The BONE (LOL), and a few other songs that Ive never heard before. Im guessing there songs of his own. They were all wonderful. About half way through they wheeled a big cake out and someone dressed up as Maralyn Monroe sang Happy Birthday to AJ. At the end EYC came out & they joined AJ for Brickhouse. Of course AJ was doing all the naughty dancin' we love so much. "Raunchy" I think he called it. he said he was gonna do this the AJ way & took his shirt off.....I finally got to see ALL the tats. Very nice AJ!!!! AJ left in handcuffs with the cop at the end of the show. Nice touch from our bad boy. It was AJ's birthday, but we all got the present in one hell of a perfomance from the sexiest Backstreet Boy.
