Charlotte, NC concert 1/26/01

Okay, here's the awesome, and at the end somewhat scary story of my third BSB concert...

After last years front row Millenium concert, we were totally ready for this one. Me, my best friend Ginia, and my other friend Courtney all had plans to drive up from Raleigh. We left Ginia's house at three thirty, listening (of course) to Black and Blue. We got there just before the concert was supposed to start, because of killer traffic, so i quickly stowed my signs under my jacket (which was pointless cuz it turns out they're allowed). We checked in, and went down to our seats (Section 112, second row, seats 5-7). They were awesome (although not as good as last time), and i was right on the railing. I'm not going to summarize the concert completely, because everyone's already done that, but i'll give some highlights:

~Before they went on, some friends of mine on the floor offered to take pics down and try to get them autographed. It didn't work, but i still have a great pic of Bri.

~At one point, they did the most beautiful sunset background on the screen. They were wearing white leather, and looked like angels.

~The best part of the dressing room video is by far when Bri gets Aj with the silly string

~The little end stage was RIGHT in front of us, but they didn't see us until they were walking the bridge thing, and then Brian waved at me!

~After the concert, i was running up the steps, and i got outta breath, so i went outside to catch my breath and ended up hyperventilating. I had to go to the first aid room, and it was really freaky

~It was my friend's 16th bday 2day (the 27th) so we serenaded her with Happy Bday to the tune of SOMH

~The Embassy Suites where we stayed was booked solid with fans. We were ambushed on the elevator by twelve year olds, lol.

But to sum it up, this was one of the best nights of my life!! If you don't have tickets, then get them! Scalpers, internet, whatever... its worth it.

The "Black and Blue" concert in Charlotte was absolutely awesome! I probably had the furthest seats than anyone else in the audience, but I still had the best time! From my point of view, you could really see the overwhelming magnitude of crowd and also the set, which was neat-looking, kinda boat-shaped, extending into the audience. They sang a lot of stuff off of the new album but didn't sing a lot of the older songs. WOW, they all looked great in leather pants! hehe.. I was so thrilled when they sang a few songs on a smaller stage on the opposite side of the arena!! And then, the catwalk thing connecting the two stages was cool, too. AH the bsb, always thinking about their fans. I had an amazing experience at this concert.

Last night I went to the Charlotte NC concert. We got there around 5:00 and we had to wait in the freezing cold. The people their said that the doors was gonna open at 6:00 but it was like 6:45. So after we went in I got my shirt, and everything else I bought. We went to get in our seats we were in section 120 (lower level). I thought we had like the worst seats ever but boy was i wrong. *LOL* Anyways 7:30 Krystal came out and sang 4 songs. She was awsome. and then BSB didnt come out til like 8:30. SO the lights went out and it was so cool how they came up out of the stage on them stans. Then they went into EVERYONE, and after they sang that they talked and they started LARGER THAN LIFE. So they went into their dressing rooms and we got to see them getting dress.

*NICK CARTER LOOKED SO GOOD* and after that they came out on the little stage that was right below us. *OMG* I went running down their and that was like the closest that i've ever been to them. I took so many pictures coz we were close. I was trying to get a picture of nick but he was sitting down on the other side of the stage, but finally he came walking around their were we was and he was the prettiest thing i've ever seen. then they walked back over the bridge and they were singing TIME. I think this concert topped Millenium, and it was the best night of my life. and plus i had a audio recorder with me so i taped most the concert. I just wanna say that their concert was awsome, and the boys never looked better, i just loved the leather outfits, and the stage was huge. KTBSPA 4-EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night was so much fun!! Two of my friends and I went to see the Backstreet Boys at Charlotte Coliseum. We got there at about 6:30 and stood in line for merchandise for 30 minutes before finding our seats. We were so excited when we found them. We were towards the back of the Coliseum, but we knew that the Backstreet Boys would be right in front of us on the small stage for some songs. Krystal came out and sang 3 or 4 songs. (We really didn't like her....) Then we waited about another hour and the Backstreet Boys finally came onstage at 9. It was definately well worth the wait. When they came down to the stage at the other side of the Coliseum one of the BSB ran down our aisle surrounded by security guards, and he had a towel over his head so we couldn't tell who he was. We didn't even see him until it was too late!

Then BSB performed on the small stage and we completely freaked out because they were right in front of us. We got Brian and Kevin to wave at us!! (At least that's what we're telling ourselves.) Then they walked on a ramp over the audience back to the main stage to finish up the concert. In between The Call and Shape of My Heart we ran down towards the stage so we could hopefully catch the BSB before they left. There were a group of us being herded around by security that didn't want us near the stage. We ended up right next to Howie when he was on a ramp before we were discovered! Then we found empty seats and stayed in those until the end of the concert. We had so much fun and we were going crazy over being close to Howie!! If you are going to a concert, I would definately recommend earplugs. I didn't think they would help, but they saved me from the horrible headache I had last time after the concert! KTBSPA!

OMG! This was the first time I have see BSB in concert. I have always enjoyed their music, but finally decided to go with a little motivation from my 6 year old daughter. It was well worth the $$$ and the long drive! They were awesome! Just blew me away! You could totally feel the energy in the house while waiting for them to take the stage. I felt like a teenager again(mind you I am a 34 year old fan). I missed most of Krystal waiting in line to buy shirts, but she sounded okay from out in the halls. BSB took the stage around 9 and played for a good hour and a half. I did not keep track of what they played and when, but it was all awesome!!!!! They did play a lot of their new stuff(which is my favorite of their CD's). The stage set up was pretty cool. Loved the first part with the meteor shower(although it scared my daugther at first). The dancers were pretty good too. Most of the nite we were focused on our NICK. Lordy be! He has really grown up into a beautiful man. I just about died seeing him there in person. He is sooooo HOT! He is just adorable and could not keep my eyes off of him for most of the nite. That boy can MOVE! Anyway, I am glad I went and you guys are all in for a huge treat when you go to see them on their Black And Blue tour. It is awesome!

It's funny, but the last thing I remember before the lights went out was dreading the thought that I might not like this concert as much as Nsync's NSA, and that the "Justin Forever!!" friends I had convinced to come along with me were going to spend the next month making fun of me. Wow. No worries there. I can honestly say that this concert was the 20 most amazing songs of my life.

They started out with "Everyone", but anyone who has listened to the CD could guess that one. The first big surprise of the night was when the pace slowed down, and the band rolled into the opening notes of- "What Makes You Different"?! Not only is it a song that Howie sings, but it's also _not_ on our version of the CD. Coolness... And not only did they go on to sing _every_ song on Black&Blue except "It's True", but they managed to squeeze in "Everybody", all the released singles from "Millenium", and "If You Stay", which I had never heard all the way through before, being to cheap to buy the Booty Call soundtrack.

All the Boys looked yummy (okay, excessive teenybopper lingo, I know, but if you'd been there, you'd understand). Even Nick, who I'm not usually a fan of, looked and sounded great. This time around, the dancers seemed more like a support group than extra Backstreet Boys. The only technical problem was the broken jumbo-screen, but that only delayed the concert for a half-hour, and nothing happened during the concert.

For best moment, it's a toss-up. The "dressing room" skit ("It's the AJ and Kevin Show!") was hilarious, but my personal favorite was when Backstreet moved back to the small stage, which was right under where we were sitting. Not only did it get closer than NSA's rolling stage, but they stayed on it longer, and the bridge was waaay cooler than just reeling them back in again. Plus, I had a friend who scored front row seats, and on their way back, they all shook her hand (afterwards, she let me touch it! Woo! Okay, sorry. Inner teenybopper) I'm a second-generation Howie hand-toucher...

Downsides: The bass was turned up too loud for most of the concert, and it was making my glasses vibrate. And, my sister almost fell out of the balcony trying to get them to wave at her during INBYH (hey, it worked!). So if you saw that skinny girl hanging over the edge waving around a red pompom like a maniac, that was her.

All in all, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the BSB for presenting the best concert I have ever gone to. And I would also like to extend my deepest apologies to anyone sitting behind us (and you know who you are) for the fact that whenever Howie came on the big screen our whole row started to scream until he went off again. He just looked so _good_, we couldn't help it. And my "Justin Forever!!" friends? The Future Mrs. Timberlake hugged me halfway through the concert, and shouted that I was the best friend ever for bringing her. And if that's not a good reveiw, than I'm out.

What can i say about these boys?A-W-E-S-O-M-E! The concert was so exciting..energy packed..EVERYTHING. I don't know if any of you all read that article by the Charlotte reviewer...but that's a bunch of bull. First of all, that person needs to lighten up on these boys..they're workin' 24/7..i mean, c'mon! And brian singing part of nick's part in "I want it that way" uh...no...THAT'S A FREAKIN' LIE!!THe concert was the best!! And everybody around me seemed to be havin' a good time. Even if there were mess up's...well..it IS the beginning of the tour, when you're just getting started so from now on.. they need to send people to concerts with *OPEN MINDS*

For all you fans attending a bsb concert soon...HAVE FUN!!!

The BSB concert last night was AWESOME! It was their best show ever! I had a very long day yesterday....

I had been in Charlotte all day trying to find BSB...I looked every where! Usually they are @ one hotel, but they weren't there this time. Me & my mom heard that they were flying in the day of the concert, so we went to the airport and waited for 2 flights from Tampa, they weren't there either. So we went to another hotel, there were lots of people outside, including my best friend. We waited for about an hour, but the only people who were there were their dancers, the band, & Krystal. I didn't get to meet them, but I wasn't too dissapointed cuz I had a concert to go to!

Ok, onto the thing I'm supposed to be telling you about! We got to the Coliseum about 4:30 or so. Me & my mom walked around to try and find my friend, but we couldn't and it was freezing so we sat in the car for about 45 minutes, then we got in line about 5:15 or 5:30. We figured that they would open the doors about 6:00...boy were we wrong! They opened them about 6:45! By that time, the line we were in was almost wraped around the building! I don't even know how long the other one was! When they finally let us in, I got a shirt, then we headed to our seats.

I knew that I had pretty good seats, but I had no idea that they were as good as they were! I was on the floor, in the Parquet section (or Parquey, I forget how to spell it but my section was 128P!) which is on the side, but still on the floor.

Krystal came out and sang 4 songs. She has an amazing voice and she is so pretty. I know she will definitly get somewhere! After her we waited about 45 minutes (each minute listening to 70's music from the speakers...I'm sorry, but I REALLY didn't wanna hear that!) while they got Krystal's piano off the stage and got the camera men all situated up where they are supposed to be! While we were waiting, the lady walked by, and it was Fatima (BSB's choreographer)! When she walked by again I didn't have my camera ready so we didn't get a picture, but right before the show started she came out to watch it, so I got a picture w/ her then, she was really nice.

Well, it must've been 30 seconds after I sat down from the picture w/ Fatima that the lights went down and the 70's music cut off (Thank God!). They showed a little kind of video thing and it was of the earth being destroyed my comets. It was really loud, cuz during this part there were a lot of pyrotechnics. BSB came up out of the floor, and they looked amazing! I was screaming the whole time (I still don't have my voice back!)! I know you've probably heard all the songs they sung, so I won't go into much detail about that! I haven't seen them dacing in a long time, not since "The One" video or the concert last February, so I was so excited to see them dancing! Their dancers weren't out as much as I thought they would be, but that was perfectly ok w/ me...I just wanted to see BSB! When BSB went into the wardrobe trunk thing, that was my favorite part! It was so hilarious! When they came out on the smaller stage, they sang my two favorite BSB songs, "INBYH" & "HDIFILWY". Then this Cat walk thing came down over the audience...I got a few pictures of their butts when they were hanging over the other side of the raling, LoL! When they were back over to the other side, they sang a few more songs (I can only remember a few!). When they sang the part in "The Call" that goes "...just to end up in misery" AJ did this VERY sexy dance move and I was like "AJ, there are children in the audience!", but I really didn't care! After "The Call" they came out and sang "SOMH". I thought that they were gonna come out again and sing something else, but they didn't. The lights came up and it was all over :( We tried to make a deal w/ this one dude, we told him we would fold up all the chairs if they let us go back stage! But he didn't let us, LoL. We drove home last night, and I stayed up most of the way, talking about how awesome the show was. It was definitly their best show yet. They just keep getting better and better! If next year's tour is gonna be better than this one, they better have the paramedics there, cuz I will pass out! I hope everybody enjoys their upcoming BSB show, I know you probably will!

i just wanted to say that after waiting 6 years i finally went to my first concert. it was the best day of my life. the boys did an incrediable job and the ramp that lowered from the ceiling worked this time.i loved the long black coats with the blue on the inside and the stage is great how it comes out towards the seats. during all i have to give brian threw the hat out in the audience and i think they threw some water bottles to. i think my favorite part was when howie was shaking his body during "more than that" and "what makes you different", move over Rickie Martin! Aj did a fantastic job with the singing and dancing. i will remember that day for the rest of my life. if anyone else went to the NC concert, email me, maybe we could trade some pictures. KTBPA!

I went to the BSB concert last night, and was totally blown away. We had awesome seats, and they put on a great performance. AJ had tons of energy, and Brian was super sweet. Nick made gestures to me and my friends while he was singing "SMTMOBL" and I made eye contact with AJ, it was the best night ever. The stage set up was awesome too, because they had two stages, the main stage, and the one in the back was real small, but it gave everyone an opportunity to get close. Everyone had a good seat. Hope everyone has as great of a time as I did.

Last night's concert was by far the best concert I have ever been to. The Backstreet Boys always seem to top themselves with tour after tour, and this one included songs from three albums, amazing outfits, and a shirtless AJ (oh yeah!). My seat was right beside the stage, so I not only got to see them backstage before they came out, but my seats were closer than any seats I've had before! Sadly, my view was obstructed when it came to viewing the big screens or the backdrops, but being able to see their facial features from my distance made up for that. This tour is going to have 5 star rating all the way through!!! KTBSPA!
