BSB at Hershey Park Stadium

Date: Jul 07, 2001

5:30 rolled around. I looked out the window and rain poured now. It was so windy that the rain was blowing hard against the windows. I waited and waited. Around 5:50, it had came down to just sprinkles. So we left. When we got their, they made us park so far away from the stadium. It was ridiculous. But we did make it. I heard they had medal detectors so I spent hours trying to hide my camera before the concert. When I got there, they didn't have any detectors… hell, they didn't even check me. We got in and when we found our seats, I literally screamed. I thought they'd be better but they still were great. They were on the far left of the floor, 9th row. I went and bought some stuff and came back to wait for the concert. At 7:30, Krystal came on. She sang 4 songs including "My Religion", "Super Girl" and "I'll Be There", a Jackson 5 cover. At 8:00, Shaggy came on. He got everyone pumped. He must have had about 10 people on stage with him. He sang songs such as "Boombastic", "Angel", "It Wasn't Me", "Freaky Girl", and "Love Me, Love Me." During Angel, he bought up a little girl to the stage and sang the song to her. He was done by 8:45. Now the waiting had begun. The rain clouds had changed to sun awhile ago and we all only hoped that is held out. The security guard told our section, because we had been yelling "Backstreet Boys!", that they wouldn't be out for a half-hour. We waited. 9:15 rolled around, they still weren't out. Everyone started getting fussy but 5 minutes later, there they were. They came on with "Everyone" followed by "Larger Than Life." They had neither second stage nor catwalk like they did the first time. That kinda made me upset. After a few songs, they showed a video called "BSB in 2050." Man was it funny. Brian was bald, Nick was all fat and Howie had a hip replacement. LOL. Later in the show, Nick came out wearing a Joey Fatone mask. Howie was like "Nick, take that stupid thing off your head" and Nick said, "I'm Joey Fatone! Bye Bye Bye!" hehe. They did a melody of "Quit Playing Games" and "As Long As Your Love Me." They then did "I'll Never Break Your Heart" and parts of "I Promise You." I was surprised when they came out and sang "Don't Want You Back" and the very old "If You Stay." I love those songs! During "Time"... (I think), Nick and Howie wore these pink antler like things on their heads. During the end of the song when Brian sang, Nick took his and put them on Brian's head. It was hilarious. During "Yes I Will", Brian waved to me! Ahh! The love! They then showed BSB in their dressing room where Howie spent a little too much time in front of the mirror. Hehe. AJ kept teasing us the whole show by saying "I'm not going to take my shirt off, it's a family show" and stuff like that. But by the last song, "Shape Of My Heart", He ripped it off. And guess what? The girls went wild.

It was a great show. It ended with explosions and firecrackers going off. And very, very happy fans.

They will also always be loved by millions of fans no matter what ever happenes. But we all know they will be around for a long time.Everyone watch out for Nick! He looks so good and he grabs himself and A.J. takes off his shirt half way and comes off the stage at least at my consert. Everyone who did't see them yet get prepared for a good ass show!!!

Well first off HERSHEY ROCKED!!!I was 15th row..they were awesome seats! not the best I've ever had but still awesome!!!!The boys put on an awesome show. It was the normal concert deal (minus the wings on the stage, the smaller stage, and the bridge..i'll hold in the i told ya so's! ;p) My fav highlights were AJ ripping his wife beater off(ahhh!!!) and nick gettin jiggy with the floor! haha. the guys seemed alot more..silly?? then usual. they were goofing off about everything and just playin with the crowd alot! all in all the night rocked!!!

An Extra Comment:

This was the only bad part of my evening, and its something I think all fans should read. The 3 girls 2 rows infront of me had quite bad attitude problems (its the nicest way I can put it). The one was maybe 25, and the other two were younger. During Shaggy they were standing on the chairs, and those of us behind them couldn't see anything. (The field at hershey is all one level) So as the crashes and what not were beginning to go off for bsb to come on, one woman next to me ( who i believe may have been a member of MFC) asked them to get down. They refused. She got security. The rude girls fought with security! Yes..if you were in Section C, Row 13, prolly seats 17-16 somewhere around there, I'm talking about you! I don't understand why some fans have to be this way. It was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. The 25 yr old was yelling obsenities, yelling at people who didn't deserve it, and ruining the concert for all of us. Luckily, the security guard was huge, and she the girl eventually backed down. The point of this story is just to show everyone how NOT to act at a concert. Those girls were rude..and I don't know how much they even wanted to be there. They left before the guys even sang Time.

Thursday, July 5 was let me say one of the most Amazing nights of my life! Me and my friend were so Lucky and we both had the time of our lives there. We sat in the front row center stage and the guys were sooooo close! I couldn't even breath, I wanted to reach out and kiss Nick. We were no more than 6 feet away. It was Incredible! We got so many smiles and waves from Kevin and Brian and Howie waved a little bit too. Nick and AJ are our favorites and we got Nicky's attention quite often and a few looks from AJ! My friend was disapointed that AJ didn't wave to her but she was happy to be so close. I thought she was going to die, especially when he took his shirt off! AJ's been working. He was looking really Hot!!!!! But of course my Nick was looking better than ever!!! OMG he is so Amazing looking I don't think words could describe how Hot he was last night! I screamed so hard when he grabbed himself and shook it!! I couldn't believe it, I thought I would pass out! Then he started humping the stage! I didn't think my heart could take much more!! Nick really knows how to work the crowd. At the end they all sat in front and it was so Amazing how close they were to us. I just reached my arms out to Nick and I felt so close like I could reach him. He did notice me several times but he didn't wave, but that's okay because being that close to him was so Incredible! We also got Krystal's autograph and I got my pic taken with her. She is so nice and really pretty. I told her that she was great and please tell Nicky I said hi. LOL! She smiled at me and she said she would. Last night was so Incredible I could talk about the guys forever! I hope they come back soon because I'm missing them already! Thank you Nick, AJ, Kevin, Howie and Brian for such an Amazing night! I love you guys and I hope to see you soon. Keep the Backstreet Pride Alive!

Completely enjoyed the Hershey concert last night, and still am tickled and pleased that BSB chose to include Hershey in the tour. The entire crowd loved every moment of the songs, glitz and playfulness of the 5 guys. ( men actually )

Kevin came across true and serious, Brian sincere and happy, Howie was full moves and vocals, AJ is totally on the top of his game, and Nick is completely sweet, yet hot and spicy.

Thanks so much guys for stopping by Hershey and I really hope you enjoyed the scenery and great chocolate air.

Very truly yours,

Joelle A. Hayes, Elizabethtown, PA.

HersheyPark Stadium-July 5th

I just saw BSB for the first time, last night (July 5th)at HersheyPark Stadium. It was the best, most kick ass wicked thing I've ever seen! I'm attempting this review even though I'm still in the "It seems like a dream..." stage so forgive me for how choppy this turns out. Myself, along with two other friends arrived at the stadium at 6 where a huge line was already outside. We waited until 7:30 when they began to let us. We found our seats which were good (row 15, section A). We didn't see the opening acts very much because we were walking around but we returned to our seats near the end of Shaggy's set. We were looking at the backstage area where we saw BSB getting ready to come on stage so needless to say, we were flipping out. The thing about this concert is that my friends and I have been BSB fans since the 4th grade....6 years. We always thought BSB wold never come to Hershey (we all live here) and we've been waiting for this for A VERY LONG TIME! Of course, we were in tears. BSB came on and performed the first few songs, us still in tears, and then they began talking to the audience. I can't remember specifics but I do remember Kevin mentioning the passed rain and the full moon. Howie talked of how great it was to be back in Hershey which was a little odd seeing as to how they've never been here before....and then there was AJ and his debate of Hershey Fans or Hershey Chocolate.

The show continued on and it was the best! All of the guys commented on the full moon (AJ- "All the freaks are out...nah, just me"). AJ was hilarious during the concert. HIs antics, dancing around, and commenting on his non-existant butt had me practically rolling on the floor. And of course talking about how a light had been the brightest light he'd ever seen. Also, Nick's little spiel on the floor during "Dont' Want You Back," was undeniable, freaking wicked. My favorite time during the concert had to be during "Time." The guys sat on the edge of the stage to sing it so obviously, fans started to pass gifts up. Two pairs of those light antenna things came up that were bright pink and seemed to be shapped like butterflies or something of the sort. Both Nick and Howie put the on. So then, someone throws a silver article of clothing up onto the stage (I was too far away to determine what it was) and Howie and Nick kept throwing it at each other which caused NIck to laugh when he was singing. Nick then, took the light thing that was on his head and put it on Kevin, who was next to him, and Kevin threw it off his head. It was really funny! Then Nick got it back and leaned behind Kevin to put it on Brian. The song was just about over so Brian finished with this pink thing on his head and then began walking around funny and saying "we are from planet vulcan" in a funny voice. It was absolutely hilarious! So the concert, was the absolute best...undoubtedly the best night of my life so far. I loved all the videos they had and I quite enjoyed the Kevin and AJ show. And most importantly of all, they sang so wonderfully...it was truley tear inspiring. Those are about all the details I can remember right now but trust me....IT ROCKED! I really hope they come back to Hershey. Plus, a little inside info for anyone who is wondering, they stayed at the Harrisburg Hilton and ate at Applebee's....hehe. Unfortunately, the batteries in my camera died so if anyone got to take pictures, please please e-mail me! I would love to see some pictures from the Hershey show. So- on one final note, I would just like to say that this concert had a major affect. It made BSB seem real. Before they were just voices on the radio but after the concert and listening to their CD- it just had a total different affect. And of course as most fans, I had extrreme post-concert depression afterwards. But I've never been prouder to live in Hershey :).

7/5 Hershey Concert Review

I got up at 9am and decorated my grams car, then decorated another car, which was the one I would be riding up in. 3 friends and I left around noon to go 'BSB Huntin' until 7:30pm which was when the concert started. My mom, my gram, and my brother would be meeting us up there at 5:30pm to go to the concert. We had no such luck and ran into NO BSB's, so when we arrived at the concert, we were all excited! We had over 20 cars honk at our car, cause on the back it said, "If you love BSB, HONK!" LOL! So, even though we were stuck in traffic, we had fun! I just couldnt stop thinking about being only 11 rows away from my boys!

So, we get in the stadium and I bought a picture of Kevin and a BSB poster, then we started searching for our seats. My mom, my brother, and my friend were sitting behind us in section E, so we split up there. My gram, 2 friends, and I went up to section C, 11 rows away from the stage to our seats. We were so close! It was so amazing! So, Krystal came out and did her thing, then Shaggy came out and let me tell ya, He was just GREAT! Whoo, he's a hottie! ;) Then, we waited for like 15 minutes, and during that time, my mom, my brother, and my friend came up and said they couldnt see AT ALL, so we told them to stay up with us because the security would never notice, so they did! And, they ended up staying there the whole concert! LOL, The boys came out singing, "Everyone" and thats when I just freaked.. I could see them smile and I could see their eyes, and right then and there, I was just realizing how great this was. They sang "Larger Than Life" after and that was great. They had a few comic strips throughout the concert, and they even 'made fun' of Joey Fatone in NSYNC.. LMAO! It was great!

In the middle of the concert, my mom told Kayla (my friend) and I to try and get down farther maybe to 5 row or something and get some pictures, because we could have just ran down to front row.. there were no bars or anything.. there was just a lot of security. So, we inched our way down, and turned around and this blonde girl tapped the guard on the shoulder and pointed to us, and he made us go back. We couldnt find our seats then, and he told us to prove that we sat in this section, but we didnt have our tickets! Then, we finally found our seats and he left! But, I could have killed that girl.. what a brat!

The guys had no way of coming out into the crowd or singing on a stage in the middle of the crowd because it was an outside concert and there was no ceiling to attach a bridge or anything like that. It rained a half hour before the concert, but we lucked out and it didnt rain during the concert. The guys waved our way quite a few times, but I think they were just waving to everyone..

Kevin looked soooooooo great.. he had his cornrows in, AJ tore off his shirt, Howie rapped, Brian was just cute (as always), and Nick came to our side A LOT! They all put on a great concert, and this, I think, was the best concert I have ever been to!

Till next time.. KTBSPA!

Oh my freaking Gosh! the Concert was unlike anything I have ever experienced in my life!! It was my first bsb concert so i was very excited!! When they rose up at the very begining, there was all this smoke around them, i was sitting there like," i can't believe it's them, is it really them?" Aj and howie kept waving at me, and Howie gave me the HUGEST SMILE :o) and Nick smiled at me a lot!! Aj told us that he's alergic too chocolate. Kevin and Brian also waved at me a few times. They sound and look soooooooooo good in person. Their dancing was on point, and they goof around a lot. They are really funny too. BSB don't deserve all that negative criticism b/c they are a wonderful group of guys who derserve everything they are achieving. I love them. KTBSBPA
