Date: Nov 13, 2002 Submitted By: Lyn WOW! This album is so awesome, it totally exceeded all my expectations! I bought it the first week it was out and it's been in my cd player since, both at home and in my car, I just love it!! Nick's voice is so amazing, I've heard a side of it that I never knew was there and I'm just so amazed by it, man can that boy sing! I'm so proud of him for just going for it and showing the world what he can do, he is an awesome solo artist! I would like to talk about each one of the songs because they each touch me in a different way: Help Me - Great first single, really has a rock edge and shows a different side of him. When I first heard it I was like "Whoa Nick, I never knew you could sing like that", I was really impressed with how good he sounded singing a rock song. He has the voice for it and I'm so glad that he let us all hear just what he can really do!! My Confession - Again, shows his rock side which I love because I have always been a fan of rock music! This song is really good and Nick sounds awesome on it! I Stand For You - I can't help but sing along to this one, it just gets me in a good mood! Nick's voice has always had that effect on me but even more now with his new sound! Do I Have To Cry For You - Beautiful song! Nick sounds so amazing on it, this song makes me wanna cry because of the words and the way he sings them with so much feeling! Girls In The USA - Nick sounds sexy on this one! He didn't mention NM but oh well I still love him lol, the song rocks and I'm sure it made all us USA girlies very happy! hehe I Got You - One of my fav's......I love this song, the simplicity of it, the words, the way he sings it! I can't get enough of this one, I've been singing it nonstop for days lol. I'm so amazed by Nick at the moment it's unreal! Is It Saturday Yet - This song is cool, Nick sounds really good on it! I especially like the middle of it, goes into an edgy underground sound. This song has a bit of humor in it also, very cool! Blow Your Mind - Of all the rock songs on this album, this one is my fav! What can I say, Nick totally blew my mind on this one, I love it!! Miss America - Wow! Nick sounds so damn sexy on this one! I melt into this song when I hear it, the words are so sensual and Nick sounds so amazingly sexy singing them! I Just Wanna Take You Home - This song almost sounds like a Blink 182 song. Of all the songs on the album this one is probably my least fav for some reason. It's still good though, I just like the other songs better! Heart Without A Home - This song is so beautiful, I love the words, another one of my fav's! Nick sings this one beautifully, really shows what a soft heart he has, I love him so much! Who Needs The World - Perfect way to end the album, a beautiful acoustic ballad. This song has such a beautiful meaning to it, the words are so sweet and simple, I love it! I love this album and I love Nick, I'm so proud of him! This is an amazing accomplishment of his and I cannot wait for Nick to come to my hometown and rock my world! For all you BSB fans out there, I hope that you all support Nick and his new album, he deserves it for all his hard work and for sharing his music with us. I also hope that all you people out there who were not a fan of or not into BSB give Nick's album a try, you might be amazed with what you hear! Take Care Everyone and God Bless! Don't get me wrong BSB as a whole is on my top list but it was good for Nick to break out on his own for a bit. The album was great had a nice rock edge to it and I think Nick sounded really good and he should definitly keep up the great work. I LOVE NICK!!! I'm loving 99% of the album the only song Im not really keen on is Ive Got U but everything else rocks. My faves on the album are Blow your Mind, Who Needs the World and Miss America. Who thinks Blow your Mind is about Willa? I do if you listen to the words I think it describes her "I said Baby why the new car? She said Im the girlfriend of a star" I think the best ballad is do I have to cry for you. Its amazing and it reminds me of Bryan Adams and BOn Jovi at the end when he really gets into it. I was not worried but a little concerned of how Nick would be percieved, venturing out on his own without the guys! but he has proved many critics wrong!!! I like the rock beat of the entire CD, but I especially love the slow ballads that really show his 'Backstreet' side. In response to People Magazine's review, I actually think that Nick's songs are more mature and well written. All in all, it's an excellent CD that ranks high versus other CD's released this year. Well, just thought i'd write in to say how i'm obsessed with song #8 on the CD! Blow Your Mind is PHENOMENAL! it's addicting! And well, no one had mentioned the song yet..always talking abt the others...so i thought i'd praise it! oh oh, and Miss America...no comment there :)!
