Solo or BackStreet?

Date: Dec 05, 2002
Submitted By: Chrisy

I think Nick as a solo artist...he could go far if he wanted to but personally I think he is better off on being with the BackStreet Boys.

He does have a good cd....but tip of advice...Nick should just stick on singing love songs instead of up-beat songs.

I have to admit.....he will go farther than Justin Timberlake of N'Sync.

i love you nick

At first Now or Never sounded not to good but that was just because of the fact that i wasn't used to hearing nick sing that type of music. but after you listen to it from another point of view it's great and i expected it to do a lot more better than it did on it's first week sells. the singles are great and my favorite song off of it are "do i have to cry for u" and "heart without a home" but it's great and he did a great job with it.

love ya,

Befor you send anything to me, no I'm not NIck. I don't even know the guy, personaly. But that's not why I'm here. I love NIck's album! I'm completely adicted to it. I just love his voice. The fact that Justified sold more than Now Or Never means nothing to me. Nick's always been at the top of my list and always will be. The songs in Now Or Never are amazing. I can't say i have a fave. cause I'd have to type out all the songs. Anyone who didnt buy it don't know what they're missin out on. Nick, if you read this, I love you, always have, always will. Love forever,

Miranda-Jane.

Now or Never - not a wasted track

I bought the album having listened to clips from the internet. I must say that the internet clips do not do the sound of the recordings justice. The album is a much better quality in the sound. Usually when you by an album you have one or two favorite songs but I am having difficulty picking a favorite from this album they are all great! Nick has put out a very high quality product on his first try and I see even bigger and better things to come in the future from this artist. I love his pop/rock combination and the fact that he has not boxed himself in to one genre of music. This album is a must to have in your cd collection.

Carter's Effort +++

I love this LP. Period. This isn't a review about whether this album is good or not; This is a statement on why critics need to get a soul. (In my opinion, this LP is incredible and I like every aspect about it, even if a song or two may stradle the line between good and corny.)

Just in case you haven't noticed, their are news reports and specials all the time about how certain artists and their management pay people to write good reviews or continuously play their singles until you want to puke. Well hello world, sounds like reality when you read some of the bull people write. I've only read one critic who takes note on Carter's genuine effort on his solo project. All the others, you know those from the "respectable" magazines like People and Entertainment Weekly, they just want to tear it up and burn the pieces. I'm sick of it.

Get over it. He made a genuine effort. His effort has resulted in a good CD. I don't see your sorry ass doing anything! You jerks make it seem so easy to ridicule someone else and that's because it is! It's easier to make fun of Nick Carter than to realize that you have the most horrible, utterly disgusting taste in music that anyone has ever known. In fact you should make an LP and see how great your reviews are! Have fun! And did you ever think that it's not about whether the songs have true subsistence (to YOU) but that it's that the song just makes you feel good. It just makes you feel like having fun or relaxing. It doesn't have to make you think about anything to make it be GOOD music.

So back off you little jerks and learn to let go. Don't be jealous just because Nick Carter can sing, write, and well...look better than you! Get over it and get a hobby.

Nick might be the cutest and one of the best Backstreet Boys, but he does not do good in a solo career. While I like 'I stand for you' and 'I Got You', 'Miss America' and 'Girls in the USA' really dont seem appropriate, especially for Nicks fans age group.

He does so much better as a backstreet boy.

sorry i did this twice. i accidently pressed enter.

I LOVE Nick's new Cd... (I have posted a review before) I think it is very awsome... and a great way to explore different types of music Nick wants to explore... I personally don't think he is getting enough attention... I mean, if I wasn't a Nick Carter fan, I wouldn't even know he has a CD out, because I have never seen any commercials or anything for it... All I ever see is Justin (Shudders) Shake-N-Bake... I want to know why this is how this is? Nick is more handsome then Justin (And I think we all know it) and he has a better voice... why are we getting subjected to Justin Trash when Nick is out, and he gets little or no attention? Besides, I swear Justin and Nsync are little copy cats of the Backstreet Boys.. The ONLY good boy bands that ever existed were the Backstreet Boys and the New Kids before them (and We all Know it). I mean, Nick releases a solo album, so does Justin... All boy bands seem to be is carbon copies of eachother... I mean, we had the New kids which brought the "Boy band thing" into music, I guess you could say, after they broke, the BSB followed; they were fresh, and different from NKOTB, and it's cool... but then you have Lou Perlman spewing so-called "bands" out like Nsync, or O-Town, then you have 5ive, and Westlife... I mean, we have enough Backstreet Boys... we need more Originality! We love the Boys, not Carbon copies! The boys need more recognition for what they do... they have talent, and they deserve it... Further more, Nick Carter's album kicks ass, and you should all go buy it... You can definetetly tell his influences are Journey, and people like Bon Jovi, so it's worth a listen.... Even if you absolutetly HATE Nick Carter, give it a chance... you just might like it... Hell, I gave Nsync a chance... I just could not stand them... And I want to see more things Backstreet Boys and Nick, because they deserve it more than any other "Carbon copy boy band" because they were the first original boy band after the New Kids... and they are COMPLETELY different from the New Kids!
