Now or Never what I think

I think that Nick's first solo album was done very well. The song that I seem that I cant get enough of is "Blow your mind". The other songs are wonderful to. Nick had a unique voice thats needs to be heard. I think that everyone should just sit down and listen to it even though you dont like boy bands you just might find something that you think is hot or you just like the sound and how it makes you feel.

So I give Nick an "A+" for his solo cd.

I am in love with that song. I listen to it every night and when i first heard it I almost cried. there is just something so great about it...the innocence, the sweetness. I'm a sucker for those types of things.

On another note...I love the cd, it is lodged in my cd player along with the other bsb cds. It is refreshing and great.

***"Nick keep up the great work and BSB...can't wait to hear more of that great sound from all of you"***

Now Or Never: Review

First of all: I am a HUGE Backstreet Boys fan and my favorite since forever, has been Nick... I love them all, but Nick is just really close to the kind of person I am. But When I hear that he was going solo, I hd my doubts. He is a great artist, and he has a beautiful voice, but I was not sure with the idea of having Nick alone in a C.D. Then, "Now Or Never" hit the stores. So, I bought it and I am completely amazed by the C.D. I always have listened to pop music, but I also like rock, and I have to say, this C.D is awesome!!! I LOVE IT!!!! So, letīs start.

"Help Me": Great song, but I donīt think it was the right one to be the first single. This song starts of with Nick almost whispering the lyrics, and it has a meaning we all can relate to: asking for help in figuring out life...

"My Confession": Great song too. The beginning is very cool. Nice lyrics. My favorite part is when the music breaks as if the song is being recorded in space. Very nice.

"I Stand for you": A rebel song. It signifies youth, rebellion, defiance. This song could easily be a theme song for any teenager feeling pressure to conform to society. Nick’s message to you is do what’s in your heart. He breaks into a short rap towards the end of this song. Nice, very nice.

"Do I have to cry for you": My personal favorite. Love it. His voice sounds really nice during the song. It is very similar to Bryan Adams "Everything I do, I so it for you". Excelent song. It shows the influence that Bryan Adams has in Nickīs music. The best part is when he sings "... Do I gotta stand in the cold dark night to the morning light yeah, Do i have to say I wonīt let you get away.."

"Girls in the USA": Reggae artist Mr. Vegas guest appears on the track. I think he puts a cool vibe to the song. Great song, perfect for stadiums and radio. I think it should be a single, so if Nick or someone of the Firm is reading this (Hope so), this song should be a single...

"I got you": Very smooth track, but still very cool. Written by Max Martin and Rami, it has pop but works with the rest of the album. The music is reminiscent of U2’s ‘Where the Streets Have No Name.’

"Is it saturday yet?": It’s almost as if Prince produced the song and Sum-41/Blink-182 co-wrote it. Nick incorporates many products and people into this song. Nintendo sounds play in the background: cool efect. Like when he starts "Na Na Na..." Very fun song. Just one thing: The "Ohh Ohh" part itīs a little weird...

"Blow Your mind": Another song by Max Martin. One of my favorites. The song falls along the lines of Bon Jovi’s ‘It’s My Life.’ The best part of the song is when Nick yells “So typically me, always fallin’ for the easy, and when you can’t see, she’s gonna blow your mind.” Fans will definitely shout this line in unison during concerts. Lots of energy, one of the best song in Now Or Never.

"Miss America": Well, what can I say??? The song is very sexy. Totally. A fan favorite. This song is arguably more smooth than most Backstreet Boys ballads. Critics were caught on the lyrics “Take it off, take it off, let’s get it on, get it on.” Nick even pulls off a nice falsetto line towards the end of this song. Nice job in that falsetto, Nick. Eat your heart out, Timberlake.

"I just wanna take you home": Parents, hide your daughters. Just kidding. A great guitar solo happens in the middle of the song. This another song that Sum-41 could have pulled off as their own. Great song. Written by Max Martin, it has a punk rock vibe. Love it. Another personal favorite.

"Heart without a home (Iīll be yours)": Itīs Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams Style. I have always love balads, and the BSB have great one, but this song, is maybe one of the best balads I have heard... Love the lyrics. Another personal favorite.

"Who needs the world": Great balad, better than most BSB mid-tempo songs. This song utilizes Nick’s vocal range best: High notes, low notes, notes in the middle. Nice, very nice.

So, this is muy review, track by track, of this excelent album. I love it, it has the rock vibe mixed with pop, but it works!!! Another thing: Watch the album blow up next year. You will see... It is the same like Shaggy. His last album, at the beginning was like another album, then a Grammy and it was a succes: "One of the best albums of the year"... It will happen with NON. Just watch.

Nick--Now or Never?

Now or Never? Is this the right time for Nick to have a solo career? In my opinion, no. The Backstreet Boys need him! Although I do have to say that this cd is probably one of the best albums I will ever purchase in my life. It is beautifully done with a nice mix of great and catchy songs. I bought the cd the first day it came out with my best friend. We went all out with our Backstreet Boys shirts, backpacks, lunchboxes, and even our own homemade pants! When we bought the cd we were practically crying and waiting so we could get home and listen to it. We listened to it all night and fell in love with it. I love all of the songs, especially Miss America, Girls of the USA, and Who Needs the World. These are all great songs sung by a very talented and might I add gorgeous singer. Even though the album didnt do as good as I thought it would, I still think its a really great album! I love you Nick, and continue to work with BSB and your solo career! I hope that you will have a tour and visit San Diego for me and my best friend! We love you with all our hearts. You truly are an inspiration!!! Thank you for all you have done. You have made a big impact in my life! I love you! ~Lana~ age 14
