Rating system in stars:
*- Could have done without it.
**- A little iffy. Not terrible but not incredible.
***- Feelin' it.
****- Mama like!
1. "Help Me" ***- This gets three of course since its the first single and we were all so proud of him getting that far. Still, I had to warm up to it, especially since I never knew what the last line of the chorus is. Now that I know what it is, I feel better about it. And the line where he says, "Just an ordinary man" is my favorite. ::shrug:: Dunno why.
2. "My Confession" **1/2 -And that's weird cuz I liked it when it was leaked on the Net a few months ago. Its cute though. And there's always room for me to warm up to it again.
3. "I Stand For You" *** -Its a good anthem for the young and carefree. He can stand for me anytime so I'm not complaining. Sounds a LOT like Aaron.
4. "Do I Have To Cry For You" ****- I love it. Its really sweet and sentimental and I like the way it starts... he sounds almost sincere lol. The screaming at the end is cute too. ::shrug:: It grew on me quick.
5. "Girls In The USA" ****- I loove this lol! First, he's got the reggae thing going and that rocks! Next, he's representin' for all of us! NYC baby! Veery niiice! Definitely a fave.
6. "I Got You" *- very Bruce Springsteen in the beginning... and I love the Boss... I hear the message and its very sweet but, I've got my eyes squinted so that means "eh..." Nice ending though.
7. "Is It Saturday Yet?" (a question I ask all the time by the way) ** 1/2- Sounds like a typical college kid's anthem and most of it I can relate to lol. The ending is hilarious.
8. "Blow Your Mind" *** -Techno rave much Nicky? Sounds like it belongs on a soundtrack and that's not a bad thing. Again, catchy tune. He's got that part down. Follows a storyline kinda thing which is different. The beat is real cool.
9. "Miss America" ****-I looove the sexy breath at the beginning... oooh I love the whole song! Sex, sexy, and sexual! Nicky.... ::faints:: Prisoner? Take it off? Not a problem buddy. ::faints again:: Hands down, my favorite. Listened to it more than once. Was I the last to know that AJ isn't the only Backstreet Boy that knows the art of seduction through song? Damn.
10. "I Just Wanna Take You Home" ** -So Alvin & the Chipmunks but its cute (how many times have I said this? get the Britney outta me...) Don't tell me you can't see Alvin, Simon and Theodore singing this to the Chipettes lol.
11. "Heart Without A Home" ***-he tapped into every kinda sound and this is the country one. Its very sweet. I like this... I like when Nick sings the ballads. He did a good job with this one. And it does sound like Journey. A good mixture of "Foolish Heart" and "Open Arms" sound. Also sounds like the country band Lonestar. I can just see him with the cowboy heart, dusty boots and his guitar. =D
12. "Who Needs The World" *** -I like this too. The ballads ::sigh:: sure fire way to get me to unwind. Very simple, nothing big and crazy. Gotta appreciate the simple things.
Overall rating: *** 1/2 (out of 4 that's not bad at all!)
Comments: I am so proud of Nick. He really impressed me with this. I was skeptical at first with the news that he was doing a solo and I even considered using my three single rule with this, but Nick proved that he wasn't just BS'ing in the studio and that he has the potential to develop his songwriting until its gold. If I had four thumbs, they'd be way up.

I was anxiously waiting for "Now or Never" to be released and
now that I have it playing as I type, it is totally awesome!
What a great blend of songs. This is a fun, rockin, get down
and dance cd with lyrics many of us can relate to in our own
lives. Congrats to Nick for putting so much of himself into
his first solo album. Maybe now some of the critics of "boybands"
will realize the capacity of talent in the members of the "boybands."
I highly recommend this cd, in fact I give it a ten plus rating.
My favorite song is "Help Me" and I predict this song will become
one of the classics of our generation.
