Thanks to the folks at Backstreet.News for sending this in.

Joseph Kahn, director of Larger Than Life, talks about the video and little tidbits.

Who came up with the idea for the video?

We all did, but it was more of a combination of Nick's ideas with mine. They flew me to Barcelona to meet with them, we talked, and it turned out that they all wanted to do a futuristic thing and Nick had this comic idea where he wanted sci-fi superheroes.

Which of Nick's ideas didn't you like?

We shot this whole ninja sequence but I didn't like anything about it. I'm not sure if Nick's angry with me about that.

How long did It take to shoot?

Three days, It was filmed at Universal Studios in Orlando. The Boys didn't want to come to LA because they had been on tour for so long, so we flew about 50 people to Florida. There was a fight between management and the Boys about where they wanted to shoot this video.

What was difficult about making It?

The time frame. I only had four days of prep work from the time I wrote it and they accepted it. Orlando is like 3000 miles from LA and I had to fly in my crew and build the set in four days! In fact, they were still building it until the last minute.

Who mucks around most on set?

Brian is the big, big joker. It's funny because we had to suspend him on wires for that hoverboard sequence and it was not comfortable for him.

Did they have any friends or family on set?

Mostly family and girlfriends here and there.

Were they easier to work with on this video?

They're probably the easiest band I've ever had to work with. Kevin, A.J. and Howie are professionals, but Nick and Brian like to talk and have fun while they're doing it.

Are you happy with the final result?

Yeah, but I should've put way more Howie in. It's hard to balance out because there's five of them and there's four minutes to work with, and one person always gets shafted.

Which of BSB do you get on with the best?

Each has a very specific personality and I get on with each of them individually, but the kid in me gets along with Nick the best because we talk about video games and movies.

More Larger Than Life video gossip:

++ The stylists for Nick were agonizing on what hairdo they should do for him. In one scene they planned on attaching a long blonde ponytail to his own locks but in the end they opted for the shorter sprouty pineapple look.

++ Nick wanted to bring along his new dog but the pup was literally in the doghouse after getting over excited that Nick had returned to the States and causing havoc around the house.

++ Poor AJ had to keep his legs firmly crossed while he was wearing his blue space outfit. Why? Because there was no way he could have a pee time unless he took the whole ensemble off. Unfortunately, this involved someone unbolting each blue plastic panel piece by piece and AJ wriggling out of the tight black body suit which he was wearing underneath. He was stuck in the suit for nearly 6 hours.

++ Nick, with his artistic flair, had a hand in costume design.

++ The guys, who were already feeling the effects of flying into Orlando just a day before work began, had trouble adjusting their body clocks. It didn't help that the catering van served lunch at eight in the evening and dinner at two in the morning. No one hung around long enough for breakfast.

++ During a break in filming, Nick ducked into the theme park next door to the studios.

++ The gun that AJ is pictured with is the very same weapon used in the film Alien. It was one of many props and extra costumes that were brought along to the shoot, but weren't actually used in the finished cut.

++ The guys filmed their solo sequences in shifts. Each BSB was on standby with his mobile so he could be called into makeup at a moments notice. Only Nick had to travel a fair distance - he lives 60 miles away and drove two hours there and two hours back each day.

++ AJ was actually tied to Bungee ropes which allowed him to lean as far forward as he liked without toppling over. Brian merely had to stand on the board while it automatically shifted at various angles but he found it quite tricky to keep his balance.

++ Howie's scene in the moving room required the same special effects used in Jamiroquai's video.
