KEVIN RICHARDSON On his days as a ballroom dancing instructor: ``Me and my girlfriend at the time went to a ballroom class for a date, just for fun because my mom and dad had taught me how to jitterbug when I was little. ... After we had one lesson, they were like, `Wow you guys pick up really quick. Would you like to be instructors?' ``So we were there for about three months. After a while, I felt almost like, I don't know a gigolo or something. Teaching all these ladies ... I felt like they were enjoying it a little too much.'' Not just for kicks? ``The other day we were in Detroit, and I got to go to a Lions game. ... After the game I asked if I could go down on the field. ... It's been 10 years since I've kicked a field goal, so I wanted to see if I could do it. I kicked my first field goal, and I nailed a 25-yarder. So I backed it up and I kicked a 45-yard field goal. So now I'm thinking, oh, I don't know, Garth Brooks went out for baseball. I might walk on to a pro team as a kicker.'' BRIAN LITTRELL On BSB's Critics: ``There are always going to be skeptics. ... If they were to come to a show, to really take the time to listen to the songs on the album and read the liner notes ... we are different people than we're sometimes looked upon.'' On how BSB will keep from going the way of New Kids on the Block, et al.: ``We've always focused on our music. We could never (write and produce every song) in the beginning because we were kids. With the experiences we've had in the studio, it's benefited us.'' Comment on this item.
