Here is a transcript of the BSB interview with 92.3 in my little town of Jacksonville, NC. I was a little disappointed in the questions, but it's always great to hear the guys' voices! This was taped before their show in Wisconsin on Nov. 4th. You could tell that Nick was still a little sick. The guys all sounded a little tired, but they seemed to be in good spirits as usual. (Please excuse any typos. I was up until 1 am typing this..) Enjoy!!!

Brenn (local dj): Right now on the phone AJ, Howie, Kevin, and Nick. It's the Backstreet Boys! What's going on guys?

AJ: Oh Yeah! Alright! Nick: Oh Yeah! (in high pitched voice) (the guys are laughing)

Brenn: Sounds like you guys are in a little too good a mood tonight. Alright I've got a question for you. I gotta start this off right straight up on the top. How'd you guys find each other and how'd you form the Backstreet Boys?

Howie: The Backstreet Boys, the idea started, I met up AJ. This is Howie here talking. AJ and I used to meet up at different auditions along with Nick Carter back in Orlando, Fl at the Universal Studios, MGM studios. We would met up at different auditions for movies and commercials...

Brenn: Right

Howie: and the three of us also realized that we had another passion which was music.

Brenn: Yeap

Howie: We formed a trio and from there took it to a local record company called Transcontinental Records...

Breen: Cool

Howie: and before we decided to go any further, we wanted to add some more members to the group to make the harmonies richer. So we had our friend who knew Kevin, who introduced us to the group, and uhh then Kevin shortly afterthat brought his cousin Brian to the group.

Brenn: Cool. So is one of you like the leader, like the daddy of the group?

Kevin: Umm, there's not really a leader in the group. We've all got really strong personalities and we have strong opinions, but we're just a big team just like a basketball team or football team, but we're a vocal team.

Brenn: Yeah, who's been your biggest musical influence AJ?

AJ: I think collectively as the , as the group stands, groups like the Temptations, the OJs, BoysIIMen, JodiC, Shy, a lot of the duwap-harmony groups. Individually we range from solo rock artists to solo pop artists, solo r&b artists. We have a really wide range if you look at our cds that we all listen to,so we cover pretty much everything from country to hip-hop, to r&b, to gospel to everything.

Brenn: a little bit of everything

Kevin: We're all just big music lovers.

Brenn: That's cool. What are some of your favorite groups today?

Howie: BoyIIMen, Shy, JoDiC, New Edition, Color Me Bad...just a lot of the good du-wap harmony groups

Kevin: Aerosmith also for the rock, BeeGees, back in the day Earth, Wind, and Fire

Brenn: I know I don't have a lot of time to work-out with my schedule so I ordered this life sized hamster wheel, to put in the studio here so between songs I could just, you know, truck down, run on that. Do you guys have time to work-out? AJ I know you get cranky when you don't get to work-out. I know you do a lot of dancing, performing. Is that like enough exercise or do you have to have more?

AJ: I wish. It's kind of a combination of both. I mean, some of the guys will probably get up early in the morning or possibly work-out at night or in the afternoon before we have to go to the venue.

Brenn: Yeah

AJ: When you're on stage it's more of cardiovascular work-out and you're just running around the stage. You do get a good work-out but it's just not the same as going to like an actual gym and getting down and working on different parts of your body. When you're running around on stage it's just...

Kevin: cardio, sweating

AJ: it's all cardio and just sweating ( couldn't understand )

Nick: lose 5 pounds a night ( laughs)

Brenn: That's like me, I know exactly what you mean. Alright, so many of my listeners that call in they seem to know way too much useless information about you guys. I mean, they, they know everything from the type of salsa you eat to the type of shoes you wear on Tuesday. I've been getting a lot of calls yesterday, especially they want to know about first date kisses. I mean personally I like to get a little sugar-sugar on the first date. What about you Kevin?

Kevin: Just depends on what type of a, what type of a vibe is going on, on a date

Brenn: (laughs) right

Kevin: ..and if we're hittin' it off, if things are goin', goin' in that direction where we're attracted to each other, get a little sugar on the first date (laughs) It's all good (laughs)

( one of the guys, couldn't tell which one ): Go ahead D with a little sugar- sugar...Whatca think D-bo?

Howie: This is Howie here and uhh...sure I believe in kissing on the first date. I guess if the moments right and uhh, l guess it's like Kevin said if it's going in that direction, I have don't have no objections to it.

Brenn: Yeah, Nick?

Nick: I agree with him, umm, kissing on the first date, but umm I think it'd possibly just have to be like a, almost like a good night kiss, almost.

Brenn: Yeah, right

Nick: Yeah, you take, you take the person out you know umm, and then you just you do something fun that night and then when you take 'em back home you give 'em a good night kiss.

Brenn: Yeah, how sweet...AJ?

(one of they guys makes a kissing sound)

Brenn: yeah, thank you

AJ: Yeah, I'm totally cool with it as long as she like has all of her teeth and stuff, other than that I'm like totally cool

(guys laugh)

AJ: You know, no I mean it goes back to what Kevin said. I guess it all depends on the kind of mood that's set and you know if both people are feelin' ( the chemistry)

Brenn: Yeah

AJ: If that vibes there, go for it. If it's not, don't try it.

Brenn: That's right

AJ: You might get smacked.

Brenn: Just like I did last night. Alright, Kevin you seem to be the one that's got it all together, man. I mean you're like the influence, you're like the daddy of the group. You're the oldest. Does that have any you know, any uuhh...

Kevin: No, I don't think I'm like the father figure father. I'm definitely the old man of the group. ( someone's singing in the background) I'm probably like ( can't understand what he says here) I like to work til we drop sometimes. I'm a work-aholic and a perfectionist.

Brenn: Yeah, I know what you mean.

Kevin: Sometimes I feel like I'm...you know, I need to be responsible for the rest of the fellas just because they're younger than me. I feel like I need to look out for them. But umm, I'm not the father.

Brenn: (laughs) You the daddy. Now, I know I've done a lot of crappy side jobs in my life, Kevin, I've heard that you've done just about everything there is to do.

Kevin: Wow, umm, I've done just about anything and everything from housing tobacco to working fast food, to uuhh telemarketing to playing in rock bands when I was in high school, to ummm...let's see, being a singer/actor at a dinner theatre...

Brenn: (laughs) yeah

Kevin: some modeling, Aladdin at Disney, a Ninja Turtle at Disney, tour guide...

AJ: (i think) You're just a trick-of- all trades

Nick: like you said, he was a work-aholic (laughs)

Howie: work-aholic (laughs)

Kevin: and now I'm singing and performing and writing music, we're living in a dream come true

Brenn: Yeah, yeah it is. It's a good feeling. Aj, I know you're the tatoo king. How many do you have? See I've been getting calls from people, wanting to know if I have any tatoos. I don't personally have any, but if I had one I think I'd probably put it somewhere, where not everybody sees it. How many do you have?

AJ: Hold on let me count.

Howie: One too many.

AJ: One, two, three, four, five as of right now.

Brenn: Really, do you have any in hidden spots that don't see much sunlight?

AJ: Well..

Brenn: (laughs)

AJ: umm, any of the new ones I'm probably gonna get they're going to be pretty visual. I don't think I'm going to do any where you can't see 'cause it'll probably hurt too much.

Brenn: That's true. Alright, Nick what's it like being the youngest? Is it an advantage or not?

Nick: I wouldn't think it's either of those. I mean, it's just, it's just all around, you know, good fun, just having, you know being, being able to do something that, you know, I've wanted to do for a long time...

Brenn: Right

Nick: ...and each one of us are getting to do our dreams.

Brenn: Yeah

Nick: And we're all in it for the same thing. We're just out here having great fun.

Brenn: That's the way to do it. Cool. You know I usually go roller blading to unwind. I mean last night I had a little accident, broke a rib. I got too cocky and uhh, that's what happens sometimes, I guess. Uhh, what do you guys do to unwind? Howie, you know, be nice about this.

Howie: To unwind I guess I just try to chill out, relax. Maybe, get on the phone, talk with my family when I'm on the road, or hang out with the guys. Sometimes after we do shows it's hard just to go up to my room and go to sleep when you have a lot of energy so a lot of times I'll just go out to the clubs and go dancing, or go catch a movie, or hang out you know, talk with some of the fans down stairs.

Brenn: That's cool. Alright Howie what's you're idea of fantasy date? I have to ask. People have asked me. I've got to ask you.

Howie: My fantasy date, uuh, probably be the longest day of mankind. I'd have to actually ask for more than 24 hours to accomplish everything in this one date. ( Brenn laughs) I'm just the type of person that likes to do everything and anything.

Brenn: yeah

Howie: umm, but I'd probably like to start off maybe going out on like a candle light dinner on a yacht or something...

Brenn: How sweet.

Howie: ...out in the ocean, maybe, you know an ideal place would be like one of the islands or something in the Caribbean. I guess I'd say go out a yacht with a lady and have a nice candle light dinner and come back and may go do some dancing at a normal tropical club kind of thing and then maybe just hang out and just uhh, out on the beach, kinda what Nick just said, and watch the stars and just kinda like walk along the beach.

Brenn: Cool. There you go. Well, thanks to us guys in the radio, you've become superstars, and uhh, I know we've helped you guys out. You've helped us guys out. It's like a working relationship with the bands and radio. What would you like to say to all of your fans out there?

AJ: Thank you

Kevin: We just want to thank radio for just giving us a chance, umm, giving us an opportunity to just play our music and get it out there and then once they played our music, I mean, umm the music took over. And we just want to thank all the radio stations across the US for all their support because without them it wouldn't have happened.

AJ: Even you guys.

Kevin: We want to thank all of our fans for all their love and support and uhh we'll see ya soon out on the road.

Nick: We have a lot more great hits coming up.

Brenn: Cool, cool. Alright guys, hang on the line for a second I want to talk to you again real soon, but umm, I wanna play your new single larger single, Larger Than Life. It's kicking ass up and down the charts. Everybody in the world's gone crazy about this.

( one of the guys) YEAH!

Brenn: I'm gonna play it real quick. I'll be right back

( one of the guys) COOL!

Nice to meet you http://www.pharafina.com/innovation buy cheap albendazole Django Unchained … not long ago blacks weren’t even considered human beings … racism is still a reality .. just like Mandela in Africa is just a cover up .. apartheid is still a reality .. just look at the numbers .. majority of poor america is black .. majority of incarceration is black .. sad to see so much hatred, racism, unequal rights and treatment (all wall st criminals got off the hook .. ) , injustice, social exclusion … blacks have to fight for their human rights since the establishment won’t .. by natural God’s law blacks have the right to life, to dignity … all the trillions wasted in fabricated “wars” to fund the mass murder and weapons industry should be invested in welfare generating jobs, better education and healthcare … it is time to stop pretending … to stop lying ..
