I would like to start by saying that I attended the concert in Charlotte, NC and it is DA BOMB!!!!! All you need to know is that the boys do everything in their power to keep us, the fans, satisfied. They are truly gifted and amazing. All the little looks they give and things they do make the concert that much better. I am not writing a review because as you know there are plenty of those going around. If you have any questions about the concert or what I have written feel free to email me at scharffs@wilmington.net

Now I would like to offer some advice for anyone planning to attend one of their future concerts.

1. Signs - At my particular venue signs were not allowed. Some people managed to get them in but personally I don't like them. I had to go and ask someone to put their sign down because I couldn't see. Feel free to take a sign but understand that you might not get it in and please be mindful of other people.

2. Pictures - As in most venues cameras are not allowed but everyone, including myself, take them anyway. I am warning you that most of the pictures will not come out very well. The manager at the photo shop kindly explained this to me. The small flash carried on most cameras is simply not enough to light up the entire arena or coliseum. I tried to take a lot of pictures of the screens but none of those came out. I would recommend taking some pictures but don't spend too much time trying to get pictures rather than enjoying the show. Our venue offered a brochure containing 50 free pictures from the specific concert which can be ordered with $2 shipping and handling. I would take advantage of this if you can.

3. Screaming - OK so you see the boys and you just have to scream at all the excitement. This is understandable but you have got to control yourselves. They are just normal guys with talent and EARDRUMS. The speakers are cranked but I still had a hard time hearing them at some points. I sounded like a chipmunk and so did my friends because of the way our ears adjust to the high frequency coming in at a constant rate. This wasn't too bad until I couldn't recognize the boys because THEY sounded like chipmunks too. I was thoroughly annoyed at the fact that I could hardly distinguish between the guys. I know it can be difficult but please just try to keep the screaming down to a minimum.

4. Gifts - Throw gifts up if you want but be careful not to HIT one of our BOYS in the HEAD. It can hurt and we don't want to hurt them now do we? Also, don't get mad if they throw it off the stage but they do have to move around and this is easier when you don't have to maneuver around obstacles.

5. Enjoy it - At one point in the show I looked down at my two friends and sister sitting next to me. I noticed that we were like the only people in the coliseum not screaming. We were all sitting down silent - lost in the music. This made me realize how amazing these guys are. Once you get past the "oh my god its them" and "look at how hot they are" phases, the music alone can be very touching. Sit back, listen, watch and I guarantee that you will be touched beyond words. They put so much into their performance and if you can truly understand this then I promise you will be left with an experience of a lifetime.

A few side notes:

  • Nick is buff! he has definitely gotten into serious shape and looks better than ever.
  • No matter what happens they keep going. ripped pants and lost shoes are not enough to stop these boys
  • The dancers do not crowd the stage (this worried me originally but I was glad to be proved wrong)
  • A.J.'s eyes are amazing
  • Brian can't help but smile at the fans even when he is supposed to be serious
  • Howie always thanks the fans countless times
  • Kevin looks GOOD!
  • Aside from the whole chipmunk thing, these guys can sing. Their dancing is amazing, their voices are amazing, their personalities are amazing.

We'll to wrap this up I would just like to say that if you are going to a concert be prepared for the night of your life. Sit back and let the boys do the work. Thanks for listening and KTBSPA!

Sincerely,

Jessica, NC
