Backstreet dad, Hoke Dorough is scheduled for heart bypass surgery on October 20'th, 2005.
A post on Pollyanna's board
called for everyone to "keep Mr. Dorough and the rest of the family in your thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery
and speedy recovery!"
Most of you will know that the Doroughs are active in the fight against Lupus.
After the death or Hoke's daughter, Caroline Dorough-Cochran, the family founded the Dorough Lupus Foundation,
a not-for-profit organization whose goals are to aide in research, educate the public and to provide financial assistance to
organizations helping individuals living with Lupus who cannot afford treatment.

Hi Guys First I would like to say it's great to Have Backstreet Back I reall miss you guys plus your (Never Gone) album is amazing I just love it. I listen to it almost all the time. favortie song Is I Still And Siberia Pretty much the whole album is GREAT! I hope these alot more to come. Secondly I would like to say Howie I pray for you and your family and for your father I hope everything is okay. I just heard about tonight. Will all my best to you and your family. And last but not least Brian I sure hope you enjoy you year at 31 years old beacuse it's not everyday that you can live being 31 enjoy it and don't PARTY to hard or eat to much sweets beacuse you are just as sweet that you don't need them. Well can't wait to buy your solo album. I'm also into gospal muisc beause of my Grammpa Plus my Gramma just passed away about a month ago so I pray for her every day and I really love her and miss her so Everytime I listen to Never Gone I always think of her. hi bsb, hi howie, i know what you are going through my daughter had open heart surgery when she was 2 yrs old, it was the worst day of our lives but she came through it and is now 9 yrs old and also one of your biggest fans, i will pray for your dad and also for you and your family.
