Date: Apr 27, 2002 Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and his family have set up Nick Carter Racing's dry pit in the DIS infield along with the other boats here for the APBA Offshore race. The Factory 2-class boat has one of the more noticeable paint jobs in a class of participants that generally run basic white. Mostly blue, it'll be easy to spot from the shore. WATCH FROM THE PIER For a $10 general admission ticket each day, purchasers will be able to see two days of racing from what is touted as one of the best vantage points. For $50 a day, food and nonalcoholic beverages will be provided, along with a special viewing area at the pier. Rumor has it that Nick Carter will make an appearance or two in the reserved area to shake some hands. BOAT PARKING, TOO Spectators who are interested in watching from their boats will be provided a special place to drop anchor. Check the accompanying race-course map for a better understanding, but the spectator area is on the east side of the course -- generally running 300 yards off the racing line from Turn 4 south to Turn 6.
