Date: Jan 08, 2001 The Backstreet Boys' forthcoming world tour is set to earn the band a staggering $350m, making them the world's highest earning live group. The band plan 115 dates in 2001 expected to gross $250m according to tour organisers SFX, who are also setting up U2's forthcoming world tour. But the band are planning further concerts which, together with corporate sponsorship, could earn them a further $100m. The previous highest earning live band was The Rolling Stones whose two year Bridges To Babylon tour in 1999 earned them $345m. Last year in America phenomenal demand for Backstreet's limited tour meant that all 765,000 tickets sold out in just nine hours.
