Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell has a special Christmas wish -- to help kids with heart problems.

Brian is asking fans to donate cash to the good cause after setting up his Healthyheartclub.org website. The hunky singer has himself had open-heart surgery to correct a ventricular septal defect (VSD), the most common congenital heart condition.

Brian explains, "The reason I started this club was to benefit children in need, to boost kids' confidence, and to give them a way to feel better about themselves, and to provide some funding for research for heart deficiencies.

"We want the club to be a place where they feel they truly belong, and where they can learn that active is good. In most cases, a child born with a heart deficiency would automatically think they just could not be active."

Jackie Littrell, Brian's mum and financial manager, says, "It's precious, just precious. Little girls send their babysitting money and there are stories that would wrench your heart." -- WENN
