Date: Dec 15, 2000 By John Yang 12.14.00 13:22 (Katrillion) -- We know, we know. You probably find this hard to believe, and so do we. But it is true. Outkast is going to remix the Backstreet Boys' next single "The Call." "The Call" is the second single of BSB's album "Black and Blue." According to BSB's publicist, Outkast is just one of several groups that have been tapped to remix "The Call," although the other names have not been released yet. According to the spokesperson, BSB are currently filming the video for the single, and both video and single will be released early next year. Outkast's latest album "Stankonia" is a critical and commercial success. It currently holds No. 13 on the Billboard charts after six weeks of release. If you think the BSB-Outkast connection is trippy, we like you to know that other pop-hip-hop (or as we like to call it hip-pop, get it?) connection in music today. DJ Clue? recently remixed 'NSYNC's hit "It's Gonna Be Me," and we all know by now about the possible Puffy/Christina Aguilera connection. (See Christina and Puffy Hooking Up?)
