ORLANDO, Fla. , Updated 11:51 a.m. EDT July 31, 2000 -- Just over two weeks ago, Jonatan Fonseca, 6, got a life-saving bone marrow transplant from his twin brother David at Florida Hospital in Orlando and on Friday he received a very special visitor.

The transplant is working, and Fonseca is scheduled to go home on Saturday. But before he left, Howie D., of the Backstreet Boys, stopped by to wish him well.

The boy band member came straight from the airport to say hello to the twins. He had just arrived from a video shoot in Canada when his brother told him about the two special boys. Howie D. lost his sister to lupus just over a year ago. He said that he was touched when he heard what David was able to do for is brother.

"If I was able to give something of mine to my sister, it would have meant a lot to me. It almost makes me want to cry," Howie D. said.

Jonatan seemed overwhelmed by the day's excitement. He didn't realize who Howie D. was until the singer gave him a brief concert.

The Backstreet Boys have a special connection to Orlando. It is the town where they formed as a group.
