Well, as some of you may have seen, 80's teen idols New Kids on the Block were at number two on MTV's Total Request Live on March 11, 1999 with their video "Hangin' Tough". This was due to a nationwide prank -- someone started an e-mail going around, asking people to vote for NKOTB's video. I received this e-mail, maybe some of you did too. In any event, I realized how effective it actually was, and so I thought maybe I should start something like it. Here's my plan: Since the Backstreet Boys have been retired (both I'll Never Break Your Heart and All I Have to Give), I propose that we bring back their older video and vote for it on total request. So please help me out and tell all of your friends to join in. Starting right now, get online at mtv.com or call in and vote for a great Backstreet Boys' video: "We've Got it Goin' On". Let's get BSB back on the countdown, while we are eagerly awaiting a single to be released from their new album. You can get to the TRL poll from Caitlin's voting booth.
