BACKSTREET BOYS New York, NY ... After selling over 27 million albums worldwide in over 48 countries, the Backstreet Boys are set for a worldwide release of their highly anticipated third album, Millennium, on May 18, 1999. The first single from the new album will go to radio in early April. Millenium was co-written by the Backstreet Boys and includes tracks written and produced by Max Martin, Mutt Lange, and Steve Lipson. In order for the Backstreet Boys to accomodate a worldwide release, the vocal group has decided to delay the start of their worldwide tour to June 2nd, 1999. This change was also the result of increased ticket demand in markets like Italy and Spain and has allowed them to move into larger venues. The Backstreet Boys would like to express "appreciation of the love and support of their international fans who have always supported us throughout the years." The Backstreet Boys are currently in the studio putting final touches on the new album and rehearsing an all new show for what will be their world tour in support of the Millenium. (February 9th, 1999) Rescheduled dates are as follows: Tour/Promodates.
