In what appears to be one of the strangest musical marriages in recent memory, teen pop heartthrobs the Backstreet Boys have signed on with The Firm, the management company that handles Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Ice Cube among others.

The deal was announced on Wednesday, bringing the Boys under the guidance of the people behind last year's heavy-hitting Family Values tour (which featured fellow Firm clients Korn, Ice Cube, Limp Bizkit, and Orgy as well as Rammstein). The Firm, which is currently celebrating its one-year anniversary, also handles actors like Martin Lawrence, and "Party Of Five"'s Lacey Chabert.

A source close to the Backstreet Boys, who spent a brief time managing themselves, said that the Boys interviewed a number of potential managers, but chose the Firm because they were aggressive and had the kind of new energy the band was looking for.

The deal was signed on New Year's Eve, just before the Boys performed a New Year's show in their hometown of Orlando.

The Boys, who scored a Grammy nomination for best new Artist this week, can next be seen performing on the American Music Awards Monday night.
