"We are honouring Denniz PoP with this CD" Tom Hjelte met with BSB in the studio in Stockholm. Aftonbladet is the only newspaper to meet BSB at Cheiron Studios in Stockholm. Here, the band has been secretly working with their new CD for 2 weeks. "The whole CD has become a tribute to the memory of Denniz PoP," says Nick. Brian Littrell is sitting at the mixingboard and Nick, who has got a headache, was recording his new record, "Don't Want To Lose You Now", a ballad sure to become yet another hit for the world's biggest boyband, when Aftonbladet came into the studio. Star producer and songwriter Max Martin was supervising the recording. But one person is missing...his gold records cover the walls like wallpaper; Max Martin's partner Denniz PoP, the Swedish mega- producer who died in August this year. Denniz, or Dag Volle as he was origionally named, had a major part of BSB' enormous success. Denniz PoP had begun work with the Floridan Boys' new CD earlier this year, but it's a job Max Martin must now finish with his collegue, Rami Yachub. The guys in the band, who spend time in the nearby gym when they're not recording, become serious when they talk about Denniz PoP. "I miss him incredibly much and it's hard to be here without thinking about Denniz PoP," says Nick, who is obviously moved when he talks about his old co-worker and friend who died of cancer this fall. "The whole CD became a tribute to Denniz," he continues. Brian, who also became very sad when he spoke of Denniz, said, "We are not finished with the CD yet, but in some way we will honour Denniz." I had thought maybe that I would meet five stuck-up American popstars when I came to the studio, but instead I meet five very pleasant guys, who seem surprisingly unbothered by the fame and the hysteria that developed as their fame grew (outside the studio, brave teenage girls have been standing in wait for almost 24 hours around the clock just to have a glimpse of their idols). "The work with the new CD has gone quickly and well," tells Brian. Spy Bar and the Cafe Opera are the best. While in Stockholm, the Boys also found time to visit the capital's most popular night clubs. "I have been to the Spy Bar," Nick says. "It's nice there. It becomes like a private party when we're there." "And I also like the Cafe Opera," Howie D fills in. "They play good music there." --by Tom Hjelte There you go, oh and as a by the way, the Spy Bar is an incredibly exclusive club complete with it's own runway for models etc. Kevin also frequents the Spy Bar while Brian and AJ usually go to the Cafe Opera. Nick usually doesn't go anywhere but I guess he's growing up.
