  • In the latest issue of People magazine (the Special Double Issue, November 16,1998) there is a mention of the BSB in "The Sexiest Man Alive '98" foldout section called "Teen Idols of the '90s". (Page 76)

    Backstreet Boys

Their romantic harmonizing has played games with the hearts of legions of girls and sold 7 million CDs. But while the Boys (clockwise from top left: Nick Carter, 18; Howie Dorough, 24; Kevin Richardson, 26; Brain Littrell, 23; and A.J. McLean, 20) love the adulation, says McLean's mom, Denise, "they reach a point where they say, 'Okay, we're ready to go be regular guys.' "

  • In that same magazine there is a picture of Howie as the vampire with his victim from the 'Everybody' video in the article "The Sexiest Men Undead." (Page 187)

"... and the integrating ghoul in the Backstreet Boys' "Everybody" video exude an equally seductive wounded remanticism."
