Date: Jan 16, 2002 Source: Dotmusic Submitted By: Gina Cates Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson showed-off his athletic skills yesterday by running the Olympic Torch Relay in Los Angeles. The singer, who became the 142nd torchbearer of this year's relay, carried the flame to promote his Just Within Reach environmental foundation. According to MTV, Richardson joined the relay for three blocks around downtown Los Angeles. The Olympic Torch Relay began on November 19 last year, when the torch was lit in Olympia, Greece. It will finish its journey at the Winter Games in Salt Lake City next month. Richardson's Just Within Reach Foundation was launched a year ago to provide environmental education and promoted personal responsibility to the planet. Comment on this item.
