FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MILK MUSTACHE MANIA GETS NEW FACE ON THE NET Popular Ad Campaign Launches Site to Educate Teens with Fun Games, Health Info NEW YORK (August 23, 2001) - What do MTV's Carson Daly, cool MP3 skins and virtual milk mustaches have in common? All three can be found on the new whymilk.com Web site debuting today. The popular got milk? campaign's new face on the Internet helps educate teens about the benefits of drinking milk through exciting interactive games and the inside scoop on their favorite milk mustache celebrities. Why teens? Because nearly nine out of 10 teen girls and 7 out of 10 teen boys don't get enough calcium in their daily diets. "Whether they're cramming for an Algebra exam or getting in an extra workout before school, most teens lack the bone-building calcium they need to help keep them healthy and active throughout the day," says Kurt Graetzer, CEO of the Milk Processor Education Program. "What teens don't realize is that milk provides the energy boost they're looking for, as well as nine essential nutrients to help keep their bodies fueled. The new whymilk.com site is loaded with cool stuff to help change teens' attitudes about milk." See It Here First For the inside scoop on the famous faces behind the got milk? milk mustache campaign, teens can check out the celebrity profiles, view video of what it's really like backstage at celebrity photo shoots, play the Guess the Milk Mustache game, listen to what celebrities have to say about milk and see exclusive content not available anywhere else. Visitors can download "got milk?" milk mustache TV ads, plus new milk MP3 player skins, celebrity screensavers, milk postcards and more. How Does Your Milk Mustache Stack Up? Based on visitor feedback, the new whymilk.com site now offers guests the chance to create the perfect virtual milk mustache and submit it to the campaign! Just import your photo and use the cool tools to create the perfect milk 'stache. After that, simply submit the photo to the milk mustache panel and if approved, it will be placed on the "Rate the Milk Mustache" page. Check out this section to see others' virtual milk mustaches and cast your vote for the 'stache with the greatest star potential. The highest rated pictures will appear in on the site's "Milk Mustache Hall of Fame" section. Club Milk To get up-to-the-minute information on milk and their favorite ads, visitors can join Club Milk, the site's free news and information group. Club Milk offers its members e-mail newsletters, exclusive videos and sneak peeks at new milk celebrities and events. A Site with Substance Don't let the pretty celebrity faces and fun games fool you: whymilk.com is a place for education. The site's "Milk U." area gives teens the skinny on milk, including the nine essential nutrients they need to stay healthy, the differences between milk varieties and the chance to find out what type of milk best fits their needs. Journalists can also view pertinent industry statistics and information in this area. Whymilk.com first launched in 1996. The new site debuting this month represents the first significant redesign of whymilk.com in five years and highlights the dairy industry's ongoing commitment to teens and health education. ### The National "got milk?"® Milk Mustache Campaign is jointly funded by America's milk processors and dairy farmers: the National Fluid Milk Processor Promotion Board in Washington, D.C., and Dairy Management Inc., Rosemont, Illinois.
