- Date: Mar 15, 2001 By MIKE ROSS Edmonton Sun BACKSTREET'S BACK AGAIN? -- It's deja vu all over again as the original boy band is sketching out a stadium tour that may include Edmonton, according to a source close to the Backstreet Boys. Late summer is the target, Commonwealth Stadium is the building, suggests the source, although it's probably too early to start screaming yet. The Boys have already booked 29 of 50 dates for the second leg of their tour, opening June 8 in home-town Orlando, Florida, speak of the devil. Additional dates will be announced in the coming weeks. Fans may recall that the Backstreet Boys played our fair stadium in 1998, where, it was reported, a good time was had by all. Dozens were injured in the lineup mayhem, though none seriously. The second most popular boy band in the world (next to 'N Sync) is touring to support its new album, Black & Blue.
