Date: Nov 17, 2000 Source: Zap2it Submitted By: Gina LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - 'Backstreet Mania' will hit Times Square on Nov. 21 as the Backstreet Boys return to the U.S. from their world tour and appearance at the "2000 MTV Europe Music Awards." MTV will follow the boy band around as they step off the plane at Newark Airport and head to a press conference in Times Square before ending up at MTV's Times Square studio. The special "TRL Presents: Backstreet Boys Over Broadway," hosted by Carson Daly, will also include footage from Tower Records, as the group promotes its latest album, "Black and Blue." The day culminates at MTV's studios where the Boys will treat fans to a rooftop performance overlooking Times Square, followed by a discussion of the new album. Comment on this item.
