Simultaneous Webcast and Satellite Broadcast in 2,000 U.S. Stores to Support Release of New Album; Bonus Track Available Only at Wal-Mart and Walmart.com

BENTONVILLE, Ark., Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wal-Mart/Walmart.com Concert Series presents the Backstreet Boys in a satellite performance to be broadcast exclusively in the home entertainment departments of Wal-Mart stores and via a special webcast at Walmart.com. The event will air nationwide Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. CST. The broadcast will be a behind-the-scenes look at the Backstreet Boys, including exclusive interviews and song performances. Walmart.com also will feature Backstreet Boys merchandise and the Boys' Holiday Wish List.

In addition to the exclusive concert and bonus track, Walmart.com is teaming up with eBay to auction the original suit worn by Nick Carter on the Backstreet Boys' Millennium Tour. The suit has been signed by all the Backstreet Boys and the proceeds from its sale will be donated by Walmart.com and the Backstreet Boys to the Caroline Dorough-Cochran Lupus Memorial Foundation.

``At Wal-Mart and Walmart.com, we like to make shopping fun for our customers,'' said Doug McMillon, senior vice president and general merchandise manager. ``Events like the Backstreet Boys concert provide entertainment for our shoppers, and the sale of Nick's Millennium suit will be a great benefit to an important cause.''

The concert event coincides with the release of the group's highly anticipated third album, ``Black & Blue.'' Special edition copies of ``Black & Blue'' include the bonus track, ``What Makes You Different, Makes You Beautiful,'' available only on CDs purchased at Wal-Mart stores and at Walmart.com. This bonus song will also be performed during the exclusive broadcast. The event, which is open to the public free-of-charge, will be available for viewing in more than 2,000 stores in the United States and at www.walmart.com.
