This is a serious subject. But it's something we have to deal with. Not many people talk about it. But some people need help. For months, or for some people years, we prepare for the day when we will see our boys in person. Weeks are spent in preparation. The day you get your tickets the rest of the year is planned around the concert of your dreams. We day dream in school about the concert of the Millennium. Find ourselves thinking about it at work. Some people make elaborate posters to catch the eye of the BSB. Others spend days deciding what to wear to the concert, in the vain hope that if the boys see us we will look our best. Others, I'm not pointing fingers, try to pick out the perfect gift to throw up on stage. Many people start a savings account specifically for all the souvenirs they intend to buy at the concert. All this preparation and anticipation leads up to the moment the boys fly over the audience and thrill us with their kick @$$ performance. Uhh I mean beautiful harmonies and skilled dancing (yeah kick @$$) So much adrenaline is pumping through our bodies. We planned on being calm and enjoying the concert in a dignified manner. But when you see the boys in the flesh all rational thought goes out the window. Oh my god it's them it's them ahhhhhh. Grown mature people lose their inhibitions and dance scream and sing like there is no tomorrow.

When the concert is over you are on cloud 9, a natural high, a buzz that makes you feel as if nothing could go wrong and all is right in the world. Depending on how fast you come down, many encounter the phenomenon known as POST BSB CONCERT DEPRESSION. You find yourself depressed and moody. Some even, can I say it, break down and cry. But I'm here to tell you there is hope. If you follow these steps there is hope for recovery. Why, you may ask? Because I have gone through it as I'm sure I will again. Each time it gets easier to bare as I learn to cope with it and understand it.

  1. Stay away from BSB music for a period of 2 days This might seem strange, but the shock of having seen the boys live and then only being able to listen to them makes some people angry.

  2. After 2 days start incorporating the boys music back into your regular CD listening habits.

  3. Watch All Access Video And Homecoming PPV concert to remember how wonderful the concert was (when ever the heck Standing Room Only comes out buy it and cherish the memories of Nick shaking his butt, ohh uhh I mean the beautiful singing.

  4. Last but not least come to Backstreet.net (no... we didn't bribe her to say this!!) every day and read about what the boys are up to. And read others' take on how the boys concert was. ( If you can't see them in concert again you can live vicariously through others)

Remember there is hope. If any one has any other ideas on how to help with this serious problem feel free to advise. And KTBPA Kay?
