Hey People!
Here is a Petition againsed MTV and Jamie Foxx!http://www.petitiononline.com/btl123/petition.html
There are like tons of signatures last I checked was like 2,000 something which was yesterday. We gotta keep the Backstreet Pride Alive and ignore all the other rude comments from Jamie Foxx and other people. All and all the VMA's like we're okay the best part was seeing BSB Together again.Even though they should have won the 2 awards and they should have been up for other ones!!KTBSPA!

I think it was immorally wrong of what Jamie Foxx said and did to AJ. I dont care if he thinks it was a joke it was sick and disgusting. Jamie Foxx has lost all the respect I had for him. He should know better than to open his big mouth and say things about a man that is doing good for himself and getting away from his problems. Saying that just doesnt help at all. ALso the thing about Mariah wasnt nice either, how would Jamie Foxx feel if he went into rehab; and when he came out people started cracking jokes on him like it was funny? I dont think hed like the humor about it if it was flipped around and he was in AJz shoes.

Just wanna remind you to wote for "We've got it goin on", OK, fine.
Besides KTBPA and stay cool.

And I totally agree with the girl that said, that we should not complain about Jamie Foxx (the guy needs to see the dictionary and find out the meening of the word funny and how it's different from just beeing plain rude) and in the same breathe talking about how the Boys were dressed - cause that's personal too.

All right guys I know what Jamie said was wrong and it wasn't nice to us or people asociated with backstreet but the guy has a job to do and people like us really can't change what he's goin' say. But as for the Viewer's choice award I was disappointed not just beacuse the freakin homos won but beacuse we (fans& Backstreet) were sooooo close. god I wish i could do it all over again I'm sure things would be different. but any way congrats boys for keepin your cool and thanks for another moment

"Melanie from Canada" I agree with you, & with everthing you have to say, but agree with me or not I think there is a line wehre you have gone too far. & Jamie Foxx crossed it. Yes he is an comedian & yes he is there to entertain us, but his job does not include taking someones problems in life & using them as a form of entertainment. & it's not just AJ or BSB in General. It's to all celebrities. I just don't accept the way they take their lives & trouble times to keep us entertained. I think it's tasteless. How would you feel if it was you??? Think About it. Don't get me wrong it's not like I am planning a rally to boy cott MTV or something of that sort. But this is just the way "I" feel. & Again your right the boys have been in the Biz for a long time & they know how to defend themselves & they don't need fans to defend them. But you have to understand a lot of us are not just fans. Being a BSB fan is part of what makes us who we are. (Put it this way I have been a fan since I was 16 now I am 22.) & when one of them is attacked & ridicuale the way he was, You feel it's personal. I don't expect anyone to understand. But if you would have seen his face after that show, You could have understand why a lot of us have reacted the way we have. & besides this is a free country & we have a right to express how we feels. If your upset, then be upset. If you could care less, then good for you. That's all I have to say for now. & don't think I am attacking you. not at all. It's just how I feel. Later!!! =o)

KUDOS!!

I've never been prouder of our Backstreet Boys.

Their reaction to Jamie Foxx's tasteless homor was comendable.

Howie summed it all up. "At least they're talking. It only makes you more popular."

United they stood on stage, just as in everyday life.

Another example of their loyalty to each other, as well as their fans.

No award or speech can take the place of that.

Just another reason Backstreet Fans are die-hard and true.

Backstreet Boys never cease to astound us with their professionalism and maturity.

At the end of the day, they hold their heads up proudly and have no problem facing themselves in a mirror.

THANK YOU FOR GIVING YOUR FANS ANOTHER WONDERFUL MEMORY.

Okay first off, I don't get MTV so I didn't get to see the MTV
version of the preshow and the little bit with the Conan O'Brien
Insult Dog. But I did watch the show and yes, I suppose that
Jamie Foxx was being harsh on AJ and his problem. But I think
everyone seems to be missing the point. Jamie Foxx is a comedien,
its his JOB to make jokes, and to ENTERTAIN people. And sadly
in our society, the Western society, we find things funny if it's not
happening to us. Of course AJ shouldn't be belittled especially
when he has an alcoholism problem, but its important to
remember that we shouldn't be taking it seriously because it
isn't a personal attack on him, and I think AJ and the rest of the
guys have been in the entertainment industry long enough to
realize that people are going to make cracks and their lives
are going to be scrutinized. Its just how things are in that business.
I'm also pretty sure that they know well enough that the fans all
around the world support them and AJ. So there's no sense in
making a mountain out of a molehill. And if all of you were
paying any attention, you would have heard the massive screams
and cheers AJ had when he stated that he had been sober for 64 days.
I think that's enough to show that the fans do support him,
and the jokes made are just jokes (a.ka. a comedien's 'material').
The Backstreet Boys are five grown men who can fight their
own battles, they've already proved that. They don't need the fans
to instigate something that they can't take care of themselves.
If you had any respect for the five of them, you would let them
handle the situation themself (if there even is a situation) and
not baby them. If they want us, the fans,to fight for them,
they'll let us know, they'll ask fo our support. But right now,
we should leave well enough alone, and not get so wound-up over
nothing major. The media can't be changed and the fans
whining and coming to their defense all the time will only look
bad on them. They'll look like they're wimps and can't fight their
own battles. So everyone just relax and love them.
That's all they would want from us.

By the way, yes I know that I made the mistake on the images for Brian and Leighanne. LOL!

I have been reading this forum and I am not so shocked. I didn't watch the VMA's and rarely watch MTV because it's a pretty lame channel. I guess I just have better things to do. But that's my opinion and not bashing yours. I think that it is totally like MTV to do this. But one thing that they didn't realize is that it united the fans even more. WE are soooooo strong and won't let our gaurd down because those remarks make us this way. NO matter what people do we will alway's stand by the sweet guys that they are. I wish AJ all the best and I hope that he stays strong and lets these comments float off of his back and focus on life and not the rude people in it.

I am really pissed at the MTV music awards producers. How dare they take a problem that AJ has/had and make jokes of it. I was so pissed that I have not watched MTV since the awards and turned it off as soon as that trash came outta the guys mouth. I will not be turning on another MTV music award ever again in my life time either. My prayers are with AJ in the hopes that he beats this and AJ ignore the ignorant ass*%$#s that like to think that it was funny cause it wasn't. P.S. I would love it if the boys could come to Reading Pa we finally got a civic center! I'll be watching and I'd be the 1st in line even if I have to sit and camp out for weeks waiting for the tickets to go on sale!

I think the facts are quite obvious to those with one bit of sense. That is that BSB is a "Class Act" that will forever be loved, and Jamie Fox is a complete moron, who should mabye consider a different occupation. It's a sad day when a " supposedly comedian" goes straight for the throat and tries to humiliate a fellow human being...( and guess what guys, that's who A.J.is, star or not... a human being who is entitled to basic kindness and respect. Has show business really reached that level of Low? I for one am so damn impressed with how the " boys" handled the rudeness, and if we didnt love them to pieces already, guess what? It's a done deal. As long as our guys keep plugging away and presenting us with their talent, I'll be right there with them.
One more thing and then I'll relinquish the soap box..... Dont take this wrong, fellow fans but since we are discussing respect and hurt feelings, how about we curb some of the fashion comments on the group, Let them just be.. don't you think they are doing enough for us already through their music? I'd like to see any one of us getting up on stage in front of millions of people the world over, just to hear not so nice remarks on our hair or clothes. Oh, and if we rip apart other groups in defense of BSB then we essentially are just as uncool as Jamie Fox. So let's show our support with the class that I know the Boys(men in my book)would like displayed in their honor.

I have to say that I was very dissapointed in mtv. They address everyone on trl with what they seemes open arms only to turn around and backstab A.J. It almost like they put on a show..why do they seem tohate bsb so much!? I hate decided that I am boycotting mtv. I refuse to watch untill I hear an apology. And untill we get to the bottom of the vma's. I think its rigged I seriously do. They will not get rating from me becuase i am not watching their stupid channel! If you feel as I do join my yahoo club and help us put a stop to this!

I've been so busy with college lately that I didnt even catch the VMA's. But I've heard about what Jamie Foxx did and I'm pissed. What a dirtfarmer. I think the petition for an apology from MTV and Jamie is a great idea. They should know by now that you don't mess with BSB fans. Just like the boys stick together, we stick together. I think any info regarding the petition should be posted on the main page. Let's make this a big deal, fans. Mass e-mails, complaints to MTV-we can make it happen. It worked for Rosie, remember? Please don't be lazy. Do it for AJ.

I think Jamie Foxx was way out of line. I knew something like that would happen because Jamie thinks he's so funny but did everyone notice that most stuff he said noone really laughed. AJ did the right thing in not saying anything because that showed alot of maturity from him. Obviously, Jamie Foxx doesn't have much maturity (if he knows what that word means) because there are things you can make jokes at but he took it way to far. Peoples health and peoples problems should not be made fun of. I am glad MTV took it out of the show when they played it again, but i think Jamie owes an apology to the guys, especially AJ. Nick was right "Jamie, you done messed up, you messed with Backstreet". They got their fans to support them and help them in anyway that we can. This has nothing to do with this topic but another thing that bugged me about the VMA's was Britney Spears performance. First off if you are going to not sing live, at least make it look like you are, and the whole routine (dancing with the snake) reminded me of Aaliyahs "we need a resalution" video. could she get original?? anyways KTBPA!! Also they would have won veiwers choice if they didn't have the concert cuz tons of fans were there and couldn't vote. Like one girl said they would have one if you could only vote once also. This contest was who could vote the most. No matter what BSB will always be #1 because they are original and don't try to be something they aren't and follow others. I LUV U BSB!!!

Hey fellow BSB fans. I wasn't able to catch TRL on friday and i have been reading some of these comments and a lot of you are talking about something happened with the Backstreet Boys on Trl? Would you mind and e-mail at Doogs@prodigy.net telling me what happened? I would greatly appreciate it.

I think that The Backstreet Boys looke on The VMAs! Kevin needs to cut his hair though!
He looks better with shorter hair. I wonder why he is keeping it long?

Ok now for the awards show. Jamie Foxx was out of line. The next day on TRL. They showed
The BSB getting of stage at the VMAs and into the van to take them to their show.
And I thought what AJ said was really Mature for him to say. I give Thumbs Up to AJ!
As fans we should keep praying for him, and keep giving him Courage and Support.
