Why do you love the Backstreet Boys?

They deserve more respect than they are getting. If you don't love them then apparently you need a life. They have brought back to music what it has been lacking for many years. These 5 guys promote everything good in music, they are who they are. They aren't trying to be something that aren't. They have paid their dues, "this is their time". I have news for all of you: they have arrived and they aren't going anywhere for a long long time. They sing from their hearts and no exactly who put them where they are today (thier fans). And don't think they will ever forget it either. They are very devoted to what they do and work hard to excell in the music business. I don't know why people are so hard on them, they never meet a stranger and never bash other artist. They have alot of respect for other artist out there and only ask for the same respect in return. Really people just stop and think.... all the evil in this world and along come 5 guys who just want to sing good music and have fun doing it. What is so wrong with that??? Nothing!!! When are people going except the fact that the Backstreetboys are wonderful artist and can put a concert on that will take your breath away (I have personally experienced this feeling). I appauled these 5 guys and ask God to watch over them in the future. And for those people out there that bash these guys, SHOW ME THE MONEY BABY!!! what did you earn last year? The first time I heard their music in 1997 I didn't really know who they were. I just liked the Music part of the music, which I still do. As I graduated from Junior high a year later, I would never have thought that I would need such a support system. When I was a freshman I got involved with a senior and we started going out. I entered the relationship blind, and ignored everyone who told me to stay out of it. I guess it was becuase I felt so good knowing that I was in the bottom of the pits in highscool, and a big "senior" was liking me. So, after three months of torture I finally had enough strength and courage to break through the abusive chain I was held on by. When I say abusive Im not just talking bout a guy who insulted me jokingly, Im talking about having my head slammed into a wall, a knife pulled on me on many occassions, huge insults that somoene would never say to or about someone they cared about, and when I finally broke free I was threatened with my life. It was this point in time that the BSB started having a huge impact on my emotions and my life. I've always had low self esteem and have always been an emotional person. Since I have gone through this experience, I have trouble trusting others, especially males. My heart was hurting, and I looked to music to help me deal with my emotions. But the music I chose to listen to wasn't any regular music, it was sung by 5 guys who had surpassed many trials and tribulations to get where they are. If only "Dont Want you Back" had been around during the three months that I was a victim, I might have had more strength to prevent what I've gone through. See, it's not just their looks which I like, or even their music, what I like most about the BSB is the BSB. Brian, especially, has helped me deal with the pain I have suffered, and Im still dealing with it everyday, its a struggle. Seeing him get passed his health problems and passed stereotypes has given me strength to go on. He has helped me trust in God to get past my weakest points in life. Many people make fun of me becuase I like this so called "teeny bopper group" becuase they don't take the time to understand that I really owe my life to these guys. I've never been so ashamed of myself until the day I actually felt like ending my life was the only solution to my pain. In the past, I've had friends who wanted to take this way out, and I never could understand why they would want to be such a coward. I felt so bad about myself, and as soon as I turned on the radio the song that was actually playing was "Quit Playing Games With My Heart" Most people take this song as the song that is telling someone to stop messing w/ their love emotions. I took the words as a meaning for me to get past what I've been locked into. A guy has played games with my heart, and I have realized that it is time for me to stop letting him and that I wasn't being fair to my dreams if I believed that I was worth nothing. You see, the boys mean so much to me, and this is why I try everyday to find a way to express my love. You wouldn't believe what I have done to express this love. Last year at a BSB concert I got on my hands and knees onto the dirty floor to beg a security guard to let me go near the stage to take pictures. I own 16 BSB cds, 5 BSB casette tapes, and about 6 video tapes of tv apperences I have taped off the tv. I wanted to perserve my bsb ticket, and my dad laminated it, and it got burned. I was so upset that I lost my voice cuz I cried so hard. He felt so bad he called ticketmaster, to see if they would reprint out a new ticket for me, and 2 days before christmas I recieved my new ticket in the mail. My room is plastered with bsb memorabelia, including pictures I've drawn of the guys, magazine pictures, photographs I've taken and bought, lyrics to their songs. I know every word to over 50 BSB songs. I've spent hours and hours making a website all about BSB and dedicated to them, I've also sounded out some of their songs on the piano. I've done many more things, but there is just too many things to type out. My family is so sick and tired of hearing me talking about BSB and singing their songs, and they just want me to stop annoying them. I hope that by me talking about the BSB non-stop will show others what good role models the guys are, becuase who knows maybe someone out their is looking for a railing to lean on, and maybe this group will help them as much as they have helped me. Maybe one day my thoughts and gratitude will actually be passed on to the guys,I just have to keep wishing. Thanks for reading! They all have beautiful voices. The backstreet boys are the most hardworking and dedicated entertainers in the music biz...they've accomplished so much and they give so much back to their fans.
