Why do you love the Backstreet Boys?

I just love them and I think that they are THE BEST. When did I start liking them? When I was twelve. It was my birthday and no-one remembered, and I felt sooo bad that I went home and cried. I turned on the T.V, and at that time they were about to play "We've got it goin' on" and I was into fast tracks and it cheered me up immensely. I thought it was great and I especially liked Kevin. I went and found out all about them, and have been like a big fan ever since. They realize this and that's why they continue to do what they are doing. If I am sad, I listen to them and I am happy. If I am happy, I listen to them and I am even more happy!!! Let's just say that I feel in love with their voices/talent/music. THEN I saw what they looked like and that helped. If they weren't 5 attractive guys I would STILL love them. Their music helped me through an abusive relationship with my ex step-father. And I don't think that I would be here if it wasn't for them and their music. There music just has something in it that makes you want to hear the song or that song over and over again! If you are a hard core Backstreet fan you would know what I am talking about. My best friend ( well now she's my best friend, back then she was just my friend.) always had pics of them on her binder (that was 7th grade.) I would look at them and think oh gross! But the blondish haired one is kinda cute. Later on in that year around May, shoot i think it was even May 8, 1998. i was sitting in Homeroom, waiting to go to lunch, when Kristen was looking at some BSB stuff she was going to give to Dawn(My best friend.) and i was reading about the blondish haired one, which turned out to be Brian Littrell (who happens to be my fave.) about this heart defect he had, and how he was going to get it fixed in May. I thought they were just kidding. however, i wrote his name on my backpack admist all the Usher things ( i loved Usher then.) still thinking BSB was gay and dumb. then the school year ended. SUMMER 1998: August 1998: I was up late again, since it was summer, it just happened to be a Friday. and this show called Friday Night is on late night Fridays on NBC, and i happened to turn to it, i decided to watch the jukebox thing to see who won, it was "I'll Never Break Your Heart." by the Backstreet Boys. My mouth hug open. OH NO THE FAGS!!! I began to watch the video, and i really liked it. so the next day i went out and bought the album and have been obsessed ever since. September 1998: i went back to school loving Brian and BSB, i had spent the whole rest of August priting up pics off the net, buying magazines all of the above about them i ran into Dawn, who noticed i had Brian and BSB on my binder, at lunch , she waited for me and we ate together, we exchanged phone numbers and have been best friends ever since. later Dawn told me that she was secretly thinking "Please don't like Nick." When i got news of Howie's sister's death, i called up Dawn and we talked on the phone the rest of the day, i called her at like 10:00 am and we didn't get off until 10:00 pm! from then on the hours on end phone conversations became regular (and still are regular.) ok lets skip ahead to 99: i was totally and completely in love with BSB. now August 99: I found out that Backstreet Boys were coming to San Jose Arena. I was all Jazzed, my dad said he would see what he could do about getting me some. he talked to his Friend Mr. Grossheim, and i kept my fingers crossed. then i found out that they were going to have a show on friday too, so i said i want tickets for Friday instead, but any tickets would be great! one day i went into my dad's room and we were talking about it and my dad was telling me how it was $250 dollars a seat through ticket brokers (ticket brokers are legal.) since they were all sold out and the price had skyrocketed (the normal is $38.50.) and how it was a lot of money. tears started welling up in my eyes, and i went into my room, about 10 minutes later i came back into my parents room, and asked my dad if he could just thank Mr. Grossheim for trying and he went on about the price and right as i was about to leave he said "Dori, they're $250 a seat, but you've got 4 of them." i turned back around and asked him to repeat that, he said "you have four tickets to the Backstreet Boys concert on Friday October 22nd." i was screaming and hugging everyone in sight. the next day i called dawn and told her, we were litterally bouncing off the walls. i was angry beacuse my mom couldn't take us, because of her leg surgery. October 22nd 1999 the big day!!!! after school Myself, Dawn, Melisa, and Melisa;s mom Margie went down to San Jose. I chose Melisa and her mom to take us, because Melisa is like my really good friend (she loves AJ.) when we got there we screamed, and one of my good friends Alyze met Howie, i could have died, i told mom we shouldn't have gone to school that day. 8:00 pm Mandy Moore came out, she "Rok"ed EYC was ok. But at 9:00 pm BSB Popped out right in front of us on their little hover boards. we had almost floor seat tickets ( that's great seats!) we almost died, and during quit playing games, Brian flew over our side of the audience, and i screamed "I LOVE YOU BRIAN!!!!!!!!" and he pointed at me, and said "I LOVE YOU TOO!!!" i was in heaven. when they were introducing themselves, it was so cute when Brian's turn came up he steps out and thanks everyone for theie love and support, and thanks everyone for coming out, then he says "Could you guys please say 4 words for me?" i screamed anything for you baby, like he heard me. he was all like "Thanks" then he goes repeat after me "HAPPY." Brian said "HAPPY." WE SAID "BIRTHDAY." BRIAN SAID "BIRTHDAY" WE SAID "MR." BRIAN SAID "MR." WE SAID "LITTRELL." BRIAN SAID "LITTRELL." WE REPEATED. I was a little confused and i was all like it isn't your birthday then he says "It's my dad's birthday today." and a chorus of "AWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHH" 'S erupted from the audience, Brian blushed and went on to say how much he loved his parents and hope we enjoy the show. he was just so polite, later on in the show they sang the perfect fan and melisa started hugging onto her mom me and dawn started hugging onto each other and crying we missed our moms a lot then. when they were singing "It's gotta be you." the second to last song, Brian did this weird- ass heel stretch it looked like he had to pee ok. Like most celebrities, he went through a lot of tough times where he had to sacrifice a little and a lot and he has had to learn from some mistakes. But, he mowed over all obstacles for his passion, which should be an example to all of his. Also, the Backstreet Boys have donated so much time and money to charities and other needy funds. They well-deserved the Make-A-Wish Foundation Wish Granters of the Year!
