Major heart spillage coming here! May sound a lil' cheesy...but it's what's in my heart... Why do I love Backstreet Boys? Well all I can say is, in a way - they saved me. I have been through alot of tough times over the past few years but they came back with 'Millennium' just when I needed them them most! I've always loved them since they started a while back (I must have been about 8 or 9...I'm 15 now). In 1998 my Mum & Stepdad split and it was one of the worst breakups in history...my jerk stepdad did everything to make life tough for us - we had to move about 6 times in the 1 year, we had hardly any money & if that wasn't enough, my Gran was dying of a disease similar to the on Howie's sister died of. My Gran actually died just 2 months after his sister passed away. After all that I was having trouble dealing with everything but of course, my angels came back when I needed them the most and, like I said, they saved me. Everytime everything seems wrong - the day of my Gran's funeral, bad day at school, final exams,arguments - I listen to them and they make everything seem better. They are my inspirations & my saviours and I can't even begin to thank them enough for what they and their music has done for me. They seem like fantastic ppl and each and every one of them has inspired me in a different way.If they every read this - Nick, Brian, AJ, Howie & Kevin - I love you guys so much and you mean the world to me! I wish I could just let you know how much you've done for me - thank you for everything you've helped me with in my life and for everything you continue to help me with now! Well somewhere around there. I started off by just liking Kevin. Then I figured he was way too old for me. Then I moved on to Liking Aj. I figured whoa this man is really wild. Last I moved on to Nick. I figured this is the perfect guy for me. He is not too old and he is crazy just like me. I love all of their cds but some songs and videos I do not like for instance Shape of my heart. I do not like that so called "actress". I have a load of Bsb stuff including photos, posters, books, magazines, videos, cassettes, cds, etc... Submitted by nicky from lubbock texas USA Date: Fri Jul 6 07:58:38 2001 well its a lonng story about how i became a backstreet boys fan..it was by total accident but i think it was fate!! cauase i was watchin the blame game on May 16th 1999 and i had to leave so i taped the end of it to see who won and when i came home i watched it and after it i had accidently taped backstreet boys live! i remembered all the times i had come across thema nd nick just stood out! so i watched that like 100000 times and started liking them! and like a week after this my boyfriend broke up with me. i was soo heartbroken and all my friends were out of town so i just sat alone in my room listening to them. if it wasnt for their music i do not think i wouldve gotten through that summer and i dont know WHAT i wouldve done. they REALLY helped me in a depressed time and i love them for that. i just wish they could know how deep theyve helped me and touched my life. that may sound corny but its true. since it looks like theyll never know i just wanted to say that i REALLY love them and respect them for their talents and i thank them every night in my prayers for getting me through alot of REALLY hard times and they will continue to. i love the backstreet boys and thats why!! They are not some materialistic boy band that sing lyrics that are given to them without knowing the meaning of the words that come out of their mouth. The Backstreet Boys are a group of boys who have grown to be men. They don't have to stay the 'boyband'. Their music has alot of meaning to it. How many artists do you know write half of the songs on their album?? I've never been to any of their concerts but i still Keep The Backstreet Pride Alive! I don't have to go to a concert to be a true loving fan. I have thier lastest albums and I WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THEM!!! If the group breaks up( which won't happen) i will still continue to support them. I am glad to have part of something so great that it might never happen again. The Boys have made such an impact on me and the rest of the world. I love them soooo much!!!! Nobody can say they aren't- they were the pioneers for the pop scene in the '90s and going on in this new millennium. When they first broke in the US, everyone was skeptical about this "boy band", but grunge was fading, and everyone needed a more positive outlook. BSB was it. Many of their fans are older now, and they continue to mature with them. Their music has gone from the bubblegum of five teenagers to the mature sounds of five men. We've watched them grow, watched them suffer, and we've grown and suffered with them. All fans will always carry a part of the Backstreet Boys with them. Their music will live forever, and that makes them unique. THAT is why I and so many others love them so much. But i recently went to their concert and i got 5th row seats. AND i met 4/5 of them backstage. Whenever I feel like the world's got it's back on me, I just listen to any of my BSB CDs (most preferably Mellenium) and I'll get all better. Hearing them with their wonderful voices just pouring their hearts out to their music...it's just a wonderful feeling that they put in my heart. Sounds incredibly cheesy, but I'm serious. And yeah, they're hot, but I'm gonna have to admit, they're not looking as great as they did before, yet I still love them 'cause they're still making the same great music as before...so it's all good.
